Ehy, how do you continuously spam run attack without running? Or how do you cancel the landing of grimlock’s dino air grab into that run attack? Oh also another thing, in one of your other videos you were talking in the comments about baiting opponent parries, how do you do that? Is there a list of all the know tech for grimlock? Sorry if I seem a bit intrusive but there’s barely any documented tech about the game. I love your gameplay!
Instant run attack (its called a "Rush attack") is done by tapping circle once (the button that speeds you up on other autobots) then light attack. You have to be in dinosaur form. You can chain it into itself (circle, square, circle, square etc). This ability to do instant Rush attacks in dinosaur form is a unique feature of Grimlock. This is also how I do it after the grab (I'm just tapping circle square after recovering from the grab). Baiting parries: I think I was probably talking about automatically buffering a command attack after an attack I think is likely to get parried, because a command attack will break out of the parry animation. An example is the command uppercut to back forward punch. If the uppercut gets parried and I'm already entering the back forward punch command, it will cancel the parry stun on myself and do the attack. There is no list I know about and I'm too busy to make one. I can answer short questions.
@ ohh thanks! One thing. With grimlock I’ve noticed that doing a shove when in dinosaur form allows you to do the slam attack, and for some reason it also triggers vehicles attacks more. Do you also use that?
@@jacopomalatesta4913 That is also a rush attack (rush attacks are invincible btw). The standard move at top speed then press heavy version of this move will only trigger a vehicle attack if you knockback an enemy with the strike (you literally need to apply that hit reaction, or it doesn't trigger). The shove version in dinosaur form will always trigger a vehicle attack. I think it is fair to say that my Grimlock is almost entirely composed of abusing shove in dinosaur form.
@@jacopomalatesta4913 I recommend you search for saurian dash transformers guide videos for some primers on basic mechanics in TD, although he doesn't specialise on Grimlock, many of the techniques are applicable with some small changes.
