For thinking and teaching 'outside the box'..., you 2 do it better than anybody else on YT. Seriously..., better than anybody else. This video demonstrates that in spades. Thanks so much
For someone who has only been bass fishing for two years, the information and explanation for these techniques are priceless! Thanks so much and keepem' coming.
As much as I learn from Matt's lectures and explanations of various bait rigging techniques, I learn equally from the underwater footage of how fish watch, approach, and finally hit the lures. Helps so much with how I work the baits once they go subsurface. Thanks mucho Tim and Matt!
The Zoom Fluke in white ice has been my go to bait in salt water in FL for a good many years. The fluke is a lot more flexible than the super fluke especially when rigged with the screws in the head. If I could only use 1 bait for the rest of my life it would be the Zoom Fluke. Great video.
bass and other predatory fish eat almost EVERYTHING headfirst, especially bait fish. That's how they can eat fish like bluegills without getting the spines stuck in their throats. They fold flat and make it easier to get down as the fish swallows it. They usually strike the bait fish and then turn it around in their mouth to swallow it headfirst.
I wanna thank you guys for this video and your channel overall i recently found you guys as i have gotten more serious about fishing in the last couple weeks. Your tips are invaluable, my 3 year old was in a 4th of july fishing tourny in the community we live in ! It is around a 1/10 th of a mile circumference pond - lots of kids it was a slow day all around using poppers and worms ----- i switched to your rig with 20 minutes left and my son landed a really nice bass in our first time using it. I had to switch colors three times and when he pulled the bass the finishing horn went off 20 seconds after we landed the fish. This rig made the day THANKS GUYS !!!!! Will stay subbed forever keep up the great work
Matt, I'm a long-time subscriber and I must say that this is one of your most simple, but most effective posts to date. It appears that you've covered everything that should be covered in any how-to video.... the who, what, where, when, why and how. Many fishing videos skip posting ALL the details, which means I have to guess the hook size, or spring/hitchhiker size, etc., etc. Also, I think you may have questioned about winter time use of this rig...?? I don't see too much difference between a very slow retrieved jerkbait and this fluke presentation, except for the rattles. Great job with this video! I appreciate all the passion and work you and Tim put into your website and TH-cam channel. Continued success to you both.
Thank you so much Frank!! We really appreciate the long time support. In Winter we prefer the hardbait because it can suspend in front of them longer without sinking but the fluke can still be deadly effective in Winter.
Armando Morales probably I’ve even caught them drunk joking around with like four random soft jigs on the end. Everyone was pissed saying my technique just pissed them off! Then I did it again. They all caught none rofl 😂😂😂
I will be adding this to my arsenal immediately. Great under water footage with an excellent description. Thank you for the detailed itemized list. I'm a fan for life!
The finesse jerkbait rigging is one of the best tips I've ever received. I can't tell you how many fish I've caught using this method, and almost all of them were hooked in the roof of the mouth... Thanks
probably the best instructional video I have ever seen. I watch a lot of videos to learn new tactics and proper rigging. Great video, thanks for the help man.
Yes! I use the exact same setup. I also put a weed less hook on it with a bullet weight in and around heavy brush and pads. It's my favorite way to run a fluke. I also use the screw on the front or middle of a big worm/stick style bait.
this worked WONDERS for me this year. I never really liked fishing flukes because of the hook up ratio, this has changed all of that. It is now on of my favorites to throw thanks to this. I had a few of my flukes just fly off so I made some changes I tweaked it a bit, crimp the eye of the screw on the hook, added some surgical tubing to further prevent it from coming off. now they last forever.
The product of creative thinking, experimentation and love of bass-fishing. You guys rock. Can't wait to try this method because I love fishing flukes.
I am a big weightless fluke guy and watched your rigging tips on putting the spring in the nose. This technique has increased increased my hook up ratio by %75 at least!! They are definitely head striking and the nose rigged weightless fluke just sticks them immediately. Great tips!!!!!
I've been doing that with another minnow soft plastic but a bit different with the same results and i thought i had something special love the way you guys are using the bait screw though that is a bit different and i am sure the bait lasts longer thanks for sharing.
Good points made here. Killer winter finesse tactic for the super-fluke. Also good for territorial bass in the spring when they just want to "lip-and-crush" then spit... :)
I use a lot of light line and have been doing this rig along with a few others. Great stuff. I knew it worked well for me, but now seeing the video, I can really see why
Years ago I saw a dude down in Florida who had some small homemade frogs that he rigged like this, Capt. Ken or something and that's when I first started rigging my flukes this way. I didn't use an owner screw-loc, I just nose hooked a wacky hook and it seemed to work so I just kept doing it. I recently started using the owner screw-loc deal based on a TacticalBassin video and now I don't go through as many flukes, thanks fellas!!
I bought that banjo kit back in the 90's when it was like $60 or so. LOL That was allot for me then. I didn't get a bite, and ended up sending it back and getting my refund. I realize now it was probably me that was not great at fishing.
The screwlock keeper idea is a good one. It gives you the action of the entire bait, not just the tail. The Mann's Hardnose soft jerkbait has a nose so tough you don't need anything else, just a hook. I used this technique yesterday because I just watched another TH-cam video of a guy doing it and I caught a couple at a nearby pond.
Floyd Outdoors ditto! After seeing Ike do a demo at the Chicago Fishing show on soft jerk baits I had to learn more, and this video just sold me on how I'm gonna rig them this year.
Dlabs919 wow, what a coincidence, I was actually at that fishing convention. I wasn't able to get there to see ike but I'll be posting a video from my time there in two days.
Floyd Outdoors, dang I'm bummed I didn't see u! I was working the Maple Bassmasters booth for a couple of days. Ike actually came by our booth that same day I saw his demo to sign a bunch of trophies for us.
I tried this method (1/0 Finesse hook or "circle hook") with a drop shot set up. -- 1/4 oz pencil weight, 18" below the hook. I like your suggestion to use the CPS spring. Some use a wooden tooth pick through the eyelet (trimmed) to peg it. Thanks.
So crazy I was just fishing a fluke yesterday classic style with a swim Bait hook and I missed some good chomps and then I cam home and stumbled on this video wish I would of seen it one day earlier haha. Love your channel you guys teach me something new everyday.
I run a small bass fishing operation in Limpopo province, South Africa. I mainly host European clients whom have never fished before. This technique has put most of our trophy fish on the boat. Thanks to T and M.
I've never seen flukes rigged like this before! I just purchased some of those twist locks too and I would have never thought to use them like that. I can't wait to try this out!
Great tip! Works 100%. I was getting better hookups with a dropshot style hook as opposed to the wacky style hook. The curvature of the dropshot hook seems to stick 'em better.
Side note: Don't worry about bend outs. I've reeled in 25lb chrome king salmon...fighting like crazy....in a fast moving river...on 1/0 hooks. (Owners) Mouth hooked, tail hooked, gill plate...no problem. Never lost one from bent hooks. Yes this is "banjo minnow" rig...yes it works. Good vid thank you.
When I was a kid I would rig Sluggos like this with the hooks and springs from my Banjo Minnow set and it worked great. I still do it quite a bit, only really rigging it Texas style when I am around grass, which is pretty much always in the midwest.
I really enjoy all the videos! Huge fan. You guys should totally try to get some underwater footage of mag spoon or spoon fishing for late summer/early fall. It’d be interesting to see a school react and eat spoons. Keep up the great content!
Great points made. I have been arguing in favor of the banjo minnow hook placement for years. Even posted a video about it. Bass tendency to inhale these head first has been my experience too. Thanks for yet another useful tackle adaptation.
Ive been using flukes as my go to bass bait for many years and i have been nose hooking with those smaller wide gap hooks for ages, a good hookup in yhe roof of the mouth is alot harder to throw. Ill belly rig them weedless in thicker stuff. Great stuff!
Bass head shotting flukes explains why my hookup ratio is the best with a 3/0 rigged as far forward as it can go when Texposed vs a 4/0 or 5/0 EWG. AWESOME video, this rigging is something I never thought of but tried to emulate without knowing it. Can't wait to try to put this into action. Tight Lines. The Matt-scientist!
I had a really good day in September of 2015 fishing a private lake using a Gamakatsu Fat Ika with the hook reversed (hooked through near the tentacles and brought out at the head end in sort of a reverse Texas Rig) as is often recommended. So, it put the hook point up at the nose and in the proper orientation as you explain here. Now, I think I know why my hook up ratio was almost 100% : they were biting the head. What a great bit of intelligence you have passed along here! Thanks! Brad
I've been fishing flukes for years with a similar rig, I use a drop-shot hook in the nose of the bait, but I see the benefits of the screw-lock, helps you keep more baits. Also if I am having a hard time still I will use a treble hook and a rivet to make a line thru type rig if I am fishing in an area without much snags. Excellent Content, thanks for the tip.
Oh hell yeah! With lighter line and hook, it will suspend longer, and I can fish it slower in the winter. Awesome tip! Can't wait to try it. My pond froze over yesterday. but as soon as get some open water it's on! Thank you.
Why do you guys not have a million subscribers yet! I love learning from both of you more than anyone else I watch! I've caught more fish and have had caught better quality fish just from watching you guys. Keep it up, I'm always watching 🎣🐟
awesome! like a dropshot rig with out the the dropshot. could go small weed less hook and fish the grass beds awesome! going to play with that this weekend
You are awesome and have given me so much information..... thanx for taking the time to educate us beginning anglers.... And even seasoned anglers will get some good info. the underwater footage was great
Watching this video and the style of rigging. I myself thought of the Banjo Minnow style rigging and sat here thinking why I did not think to try rigging a fluke the same way. Well I am definitely going to try this rigging out this spring through the summer.
Thanks for the rigging tip. I found it works best when really fishing the fluke fast as a jerk bait. I also tried fishing it slow, like a weightless senko, but seemed to get tail grabs rather than head grabs. Perhaps they really target the head more on a moving bait. Anyways thanks again.
Thank you for the tip. This is actually working well for me. Im not gut hooking the fish at all. I fish for fun. For sport. Not to hurt a fish. Especially a big bass. Im still adjusting to throwning the bait. So far im way more sucesfull rigging this way
i like it. good video man. you got my subscribe. simple, practical, and informative. I felt like you were actually giving useful information as opposed to just trying to sell a product. much appreciated.
I've used this for a little while. Two tips. If you're afraid of losing baits either by the fish throwing it or just popping loose, you can take a small piece of electrical shrink tubing and heat it around the eye of the screw lock. If you're fishing around cover or cables or anything with snags, take an orthodontic rubber band loop it the hook eye, then run it back to the barb. I copied that from the old Banjo Minnow.
The setup we use for flukes for trout and salmon here in New Zealand is a small 1/8 to 1/32 weighted jighead with a 2 to 3 to 4 inch berkley powerbait or gulp minnow or small swimbait on a 7 foot light to medium light rod with a 2500 sized spinning reel spooled with 4 to 10 pound braid with a 10 pound mono or Fluro leader
I've used this method for years I always treat it like a drop shot rig which as you said the smaller the hook or (thin wire) you don't have to do a hard hookset you just have to lift up and reel. I also like using the #4 and slide a bell weight over the hook then this allows the fluke to fall head first and as you reel/twitch this allows the bait to move natural like from left to right with small movements of the rod. I usually use a medium rod with 10 to 12 lb line with a 5 to 1 ratio on a spin cast.
Yes, I use a spin cast reel you don't have to have a hard hook set using a #1. I have found that if you keep a finger on the line when you feel the pull when you lift up it sets the hook easily. Again treat it like a drop shot rig and you will be amazed on how the fish hooks itself.
OK, that makes more sense. Yeah I use spinning reels more then I use baitcasting gear at this point with the type of fishing I do. However the only spincast setup I have is an old all metal Daiwa that's reserved for anyone who is inexperienced that may happen to come with me. lol
Bought a bunch of Kalin 5 inch grubs , for smallmouth bass. I was going to buy some jigs, but remembered your video and thought why not. Thinking of using a nail weight for a little extra weight
Nice video I thought I was the only one who rigged like that great idea with the screw lock I just hook end that magnum has been doing good for me very slow fishing can't wait for more thanks
Nose hooking works great, I use it a lot in rivers. Works great with flukes and soft plastics like 4" gulp minnows, especially if you want to do some old school drift fishing in the river currents. Floats down just like if you were using live minnows in a drift. I've never used the screw locks in this technique so I'll be sure to check that out, however the rivers I fish are kind of snaggy so usually just an old school eagle claw #2 hook is the cheapest option.
Yes, this is an excellent technique for river bass especially smallmouth, I fish the Maury river and James river regularly and I have used this technique on gulp minnows, it also works for stocked trout if you trout fish
I've nose hooked flukes for years but that screw lock is smart exposes more hook and the bait will probably last longer I have rigged baby flukes this way and had smallmouth go crazy on them sometimes I've also done it with the paddle tail flukes at night and slammed em
I actually started doing it cause I saw an FLW pro who"s name escapes me do it in a demonstration tank god bless yall in the fishing community for sharing
Wow I'm glad I found this channel. 95% of other channels are just kids patting themselves on the back. I've learned nothing from them. Your channel is the complete opposite. Awesome.
Been doing this for years, also works well with senkos. I also use a wacky rig hook with a wieght, gfinesse or something.. I don't use the twist lock and use the jr flukes

There will be more, thanks for subscribing and supporting the channel!
I love his lisp it's so amazing it makes him sound wiser. Idk why. But he is really informative and knows a lot about fishing.
Ha! Thanks!
People laugh and bash the banjo minnow, but it is the grandfather to todays jerk lures. The genetic response is real and the hook location is dead on.
The Zoom Fluke in white ice has been my go to bait in salt water in FL for a good many years. The fluke is a lot more flexible than the super fluke especially when rigged with the screws in the head. If I could only use 1 bait for the rest of my life it would be the Zoom Fluke. Great video.

They fold flat and make it easier to get down as the fish swallows it. They usually strike the bait fish and then turn it around in their mouth to swallow it headfirst.
That's exactly right! Strange so many people choose to rig other ways with that in mind.
Makes sense. Since this tip. Caught way more fish
Your guys approach to fishing is at a scientific level. Another spectacular video.
Thank you Jorge! That's where the name first came from... we try to take a "tactical" approach to our fishing. :-)
I wanna thank you guys for this video and your channel overall i recently found you guys as i have gotten more serious about fishing in the last couple weeks. I came for the underwater footage and learned something new!
Awesome! Thanks for watching Brother!
TacticalBassin same! I'm in South Florida. Hard to bass fish in the summer here. Any tips. It's 95 + daily.
those that disliked the vid are upset because even with detailed how - to vids.... they still cannot catch fish....
Armando Morales probably I’ve even caught them drunk joking around with like four random soft jigs on the end. Everyone was pissed saying my technique just pissed them off! Then I did it again. They all caught none rofl 😂😂😂
Wtf are you talking about I disliked it and I catch fish on a home made stick that I made myself
You're welcome, thanks so much for watching!
This looks like a great rig for a double fluke setup! Magnum at the back and a super up front. Thank you
This is awesome. What a great idea i bet it slays. This is one of those secrets lesser people would keep to themselves.
Yes! I use the exact same setup. I also put a weed less hook on it with a bullet weight in and around heavy brush and pads. It's my favorite way to run a fluke. I also use the screw on the front or middle of a big worm/stick style bait.
Yes these underwater footage is great an educational to help us understand the importance of what fish like or dislike
this worked WONDERS for me this year. I never really liked fishing flukes because of the hook up ratio, this has changed all of that. It is now on of my favorites to throw thanks to this. I love fishing flukes. This is totally new to me. I used to hooked thru the nose. This will be a go to of mine. Thanks!
Love how innovated these guys are!! Everything they say makes total sense.
+Patti Jo Butts Thank you!!
It’s so fun to watch the live shots!
The product of creative thinking, experimentation and love of bass-fishing. You guys rock. Can't wait to try this method because I love fishing flukes.
Thank you Mike! We think you're going to love it!
I am a big weightless fluke guy and watched your rigging tips on putting the spring in the nose. This technique has increased increased my hook up ratio by %75 at least!! They are definitely head striking and the nose rigged weightless fluke just sticks them immediately. Great tips!!!!!
Your channel is finally blowing up! Yes! Keep it up! Great work
Thank you Brother!!!
Excellent tip, I modified and scaled back to even a smaller fluke when the bass are eating smaller baits!
I've been doing that with another minnow soft plastic but a bit different with the same results and i thought i had something special love the way you guys are using the bait screw though that is a bit different and i am sure the bait lasts longer thanks for sharing.
Best fluke video I've ever seen. Awesome job, awesome explanation
Thank you Kevin!
Good points made here. Killer winter finesse tactic for the super-fluke. Also good for territorial bass in the spring when they just want to "lip-and-crush" then spit... :)
Definitely! Thanks for the feedback Brian!
I use a lot of light line and have been doing this rig along with a few others. Great stuff. I knew it worked well for me, but now seeing the video, I can really see why
You're ahead of the curve Brother!
Just old and have been at it a long time 😁
Ha! There's a lot to be said for experience :-p
Haha true
Share the other rigs you've been throwing before someone makes a video.
LOL
That was allot for me then.
Cool We will have to check that bait out!
tried this method out yesterday and I love it! works great and it acts as a line through. bait last longer this way!
Glad to hear it worked for you!
Wow this completely changed the way I think about flukes, I'll have to try this out
Awesome! That's what we're going for. Let us know how it works for you.
Floyd Outdoors
great idea.
gotta try this.
nice!!!
Thanks.
I've thought about doing this same method just as a wacky rig with a finesse hook, I'm definitely gonna try this out, thanks matt!
You're welcome Kyle, good luck!
So crazy I was just fishing a fluke yesterday classic style with a swim
Bait hook and I missed some good chomps and then I cam home and stumbled on this video wish I would of seen it one day earlier haha.
Awesome! We do our best to keep innovating :-) We hope you enjoy it!
Great tip! Works 100%. I was getting better hookups with a dropshot style hook as opposed to the wacky style hook. The curvature of the dropshot hook seems to stick 'em better.
Very cool idea with that screw lock. I've used the nose hook trick but loose the bait too much. I'll be using this....
Give it a go Frank, I think you'll be really happy with it.
Hello .....I have been using this system for the last 3-4 years on river smallmouth......and it works.
This method works great for white bass also with the zoom tiny fluke.
Great video.
I am going to be trying this up in Boundary Waters-MN for smallies.
Thanks for all you and Tim do. It matters. Love ya.
When I was a kid I would rig Sluggos like this with the hooks and springs from my Banjo Minnow set and it worked great. I still do it quite a bit, only really rigging it Texas style when I am around grass, which is pretty much always in the midwest.
That's awesome! The sluggo and the banjo minnow... sounds like our childhoods were pretty similar :-)
And just like that a light was turned on to a bait I've never given much thought to. Thanks Matt!
Cannot wait to try this. Got another use for the screw in thing. Hint you will likely need the small.
Thanks for yet another useful tackle adaptation.
same rigging works well with slug-go's for striped bass in the fall here in the east. Never thought to try a fluke thanks for the tip
I could see that! You're welcome Bro!
I use flukes to catch 22" speckled trouts and 25" redfish... works great!
Ive been using flukes as my go to bass bait for many years and i have been nose hooking with those smaller wide gap hooks for ages, a good hookup in yhe roof of the mouth is alot harder to throw. Ill belly rig them weedless in thicker stuff. Great stuff!
I use a small 1/8 oz round jig head with a 4 inch fluke which puts the hook closer to the head of the fluke.
This is real teaching and the science of fishing.. PLEASE don't stop putting this out, this is ridiculously amazing!
Thank you Brother! We'll keep putting out the best content we can :-)
Makes sense! I love flukes. I'll certainly be trying this out. Thanks, TacticalBassin!!!
You're welcome Greg!
Thanks! Brad
That's awesome Brad! Amazing what we can learn with a quick look under the surface.
Awesome! Thanks for watching and taking the time to share your experiences as well.
Oh hell yeah! With lighter line and hook, it will suspend longer, and I can fish it slower in the winter. Awesome tip! Can't wait to try it. My pond froze over yesterday. but as soon as get some open water it's on! Thank you.
You're welcome Chuck, we're happy to hear you can use this.
great techniques. I just started using it this year and your right on with the hook ratio.
Thanks Anthony!
Why do you guys not have a million subscribers yet! I love learning from both of you more than anyone else I watch! I've caught more fish and have had caught better quality fish just from watching you guys. Keep it up, I'm always watching 🎣🐟
Thank you! We're here to help and are pumped to hear the methods are working for you.
Great idea ! I can't wait to get out on the water and try it !!
awesome! like a dropshot rig with out the the dropshot. could go small weed less hook and fish the grass beds awesome! going to play with that this weekend
You are awesome and have given me so much information..... thanx for taking the time to educate us beginning anglers.... And even seasoned anglers will get some good info. the underwater footage was great
Thank you Adrianna! We're just happy to help.
Awesome, I love fishing superflukes will definitely give this rig a try!
Let us know how it goes Franklin, thanks for watching!
Thank you guys, another great video with a full explanation AND underwater footage !!!
I will definitely be trying this out.
Thanks for watching and commenting. We think you'll really like this method!
Wow, the way you explained that made me understand so much more about fishing. Thanks for that.
Watching this video and the style of rigging. I myself thought of the Banjo Minnow style rigging and sat here thinking why I did not think to try rigging a fluke the same way. Well I am definitely going to try this rigging out this spring through the summer.
You'll love it Earl!
I believe this kind of rigging give the fluke max. action. Great info.
For sure! Thanks for watching!
Great Video !! Northern Pike do the same also !! We nose hook slow moving rubber baits with red hooks, and hang on !!
Another great videos guys! I do the same thing but without the screw lock. I'll have to try that this year.
Give it a try Denver, looking forward to hearing your thoughts.
Man this is going to be epic! I can't wait to try this out. Nice video!
Thanks Luke!
Thanks you for the subscription! We're here to give back to the fishing community that has done so much for us. We teach, we aren't here to sell. :-)
Great video. Aaron Marten uses really small hooks as well, however not sure on flukes.
Thanks Bro!
I just landed a 100 lb tarpon. Was a head rigged mag fluke on a circle hook. This works for salt water too! Thanks for the tips!
Great video, I have to ask. Did you let your pool just go green with rain water and put bass in it to get this underwater footage?
I've used this for a little while. Two tips.
If you're afraid of losing baits either by the fish throwing it or just popping loose, you can take a small piece of electrical shrink tubing and heat it around the eye of the screw lock.
If you're fishing around cover or cables or anything with snags, take an orthodontic rubber band loop it the hook eye, then run it back to the barb.
I copied that from the old Banjo Minnow.
very interesting definitely trying this out, innovation is key to fishing.
Very cool under water footage as well as the info ! Thank you brother
Impressive stuff. I'm heading out to Berryessa this weekend to try to out. Thanks!
Awesome! Good luck Brother and be prepared for some murky water after this storm.
awesome setup have rigged it this way but without the screw part have caught a few small mouth here at Lake mead.
I have been doing that all summer and been doing really well, been using round jig heads and crappie magnet jig head 1/8 oz to 3/16ths.
the jigheads i use here in nz are the berkley nitro bream pro or nitro stealth jigheads
Spin cast?
Yes, I use a spin cast reel you don't have to have a hard hook set using a #1. I have found that if you keep a finger on the line when you feel the pull when you lift up it sets the hook easily. Again treat it like a drop shot rig and you will be amazed on how the fish hooks itself.
You meaning spinning reel? Or SpinCast like a push button Zebco or something?
Spinning reel I have an Mitchell reel I use mostly and have had really good luck with it.
OK, that makes more sense. Yeah I use spinning reels more then I use baitcasting gear at this point with the type of fishing I do. However the only spincast setup I have is an old all metal Daiwa that's reserved for anyone who is inexperienced that may happen to come with me. lol
I really liked this video, guys. I had to watch it twice, I love this rig and can't wait for some open water to try it out. :)
Thanks! Let us know what you think when you finally get to run it.
Wow you guys keep giving my tricks away been doing this for years
Thanks for watching!
Bought a bunch of Kalin 5 inch grubs , for smallmouth bass. I was going to buy some jigs, but remembered your video and thought why not. Thinking of using a nail weight for a little extra weight
Very cool that the fish usually hit the front or head of the baits. Didn't know that and it is a good thing to know.
Its pretty amazing, thanks for commenting Jon!
Nice video I thought I was the only one who rigged like that great idea with the screw lock I just hook end that magnum has been doing good for me very slow fishing can't wait for more thanks
Thanks for commenting Dan! I think you'll like the screw lock a lot.
I can't thank you guys enough for this new fluke rig!! I'm a huge fan of tacticalbassin!! Thanks again Matt & Tim!!💪🏽💯
Thanks Mac! Matt and I love helping other anglers out. We appreciate your support
Give it a try and let us konw what you think and thank you for the great feedback!
Yes, this is an excellent technique for river bass especially smallmouth, I fish the Maury river and James river regularly and I have used this technique on gulp minnows, it also works for stocked trout if you trout fish
Yeah I'll try it for sure thanks man great videos!!
I've nose hooked flukes for years but that screw lock is smart exposes more hook and the bait will probably last longer I have rigged baby flukes this way and had smallmouth go crazy on them sometimes I've also done it with the paddle tail flukes at night and slammed em
Awesome Jared! You were ahead of the curve for sure!
I actually started doing it cause I saw an FLW pro who"s name escapes me do it in a demonstration tank god bless yall in the fishing community for sharing
That's awesome and thank you Brother!!
Yeah dude the small mouth slam them like this
Wow I'm glad I found this channel. 95% of other channels are just kids patting themselves on the back. I've learned nothing from them. Your channel is the complete opposite. Awesome.
Thank you!!
As am I. Wish I new about you guys when I was actively Tournament Fishing and had a Boat
Keep the info coming.

Been doing this for years, also works well with senkos. I also use a wacky rig hook with a wieght, gfinesse or something.. I don't use the twist lock and use the jr flukes
Thanks for the feedback Brother! I knew we weren't the only ones :-)
Rig a senko the same way and see the results!
