My 2013 Ram 1500 4x4 is a 5.7 hemi just got the pedal commander, and it really changed the truck. Once I figured the right setting (sport mode +2 for me), not only does is remove the throttle lag, but it also seems to go through the gears smoother.
I think people are misunderstanding these pedal mods. Which is ok, really does not matter TBH. The factory sets the throttle delay for a reason, its to stop the unwanted throttle blips. You cannot get instant boost through a device like this. The only way boost is built is by pressing the peddle, I mean everyone knows how turbos spool. The turbos used in normal vehicles really dont have a noticeable delay/lag. The big turbos will lag, and would not be beneficial to normal vehicles. What you feel is what has been there the entire time. Good Vid man!

It sounds like the issue was that they were changing the pedal tunes WHILE the pedal was being pressed. Per PC, you shouldn't change WHILE the pedal is engaged.
Put it on ECO -4 if you like pain. It will greatly improve MPG, but it will drive you nuts

It doesn't do shit to your engine or turbo. All it does is reduce the sensitivity of your throttle that you otherwise have with your pedal and makes a small pedal input much larger than usual. In reality, your truck won't be any faster, but it will definitely FEEL faster as you're reporting on your butt Dyno. It's all about how it feels.... Even if it isn't actually any quicker.

With Aisin and tuned.. but still had terrible lag d/t the way the it defuels between shifts and off the line.
I went with Bd throttle booster (works same) and Day/Night difference in how quick the truck is now. Defueling between shifts is minimized and overall feels perfect now.

I can assure you it doesn't. All it does is tell your computer your pushing the pedal further than you actually are. No different than flooring it.
It would be interesting to see what percentage your EZ Lynk is showing your TPS compared to the pedal on different settings. It's an interesting product for sure
Thats all this does. On a middle setting desired TPS and actual would be synced up. From the factory it delays it and doesn't give you the power immediately. With the pedal commander all the way turned up all its doing is giving 100% tps at like 10-30% pedal travel.

What impressed me is that my MPG went down from 14.8 avg MPG to 12.8 and was keeping going down. Didn't matter what mode it was (Sport, City, even ECO) MPG was going down. I live on a mountain so a lot of ups and downs.Turned it off and MPG came back.
And yes, I own damn thing.
You really think your stock Cummins had/has turbo lag ? It starts building PSI @1050rpm...
He also thinks the pedal commander made a physical change. Turbo still spools the exact same. Pedal commander just gives more throttle with less pedal input.
Curious if you've watched some of the TH-cam videos of the new 2019 Rams? Manual is dead which really is truly sad. Last full size truck manufacturer to stop building manual transmission pickups. But..........1000lbft of torque is now available. Very good looking trucks.

I have a 18 G56 as well that's still all factory, do you think this would improve the rev hang issues the stock trucks have?
I would like to know too i have an 18 and seems like when youre trying to shift fast it like decelerates or something if the clutch isnt out all the way
Had it on my 18 g56 with it stock. Made a huge diference. I wouldnt hesitate getting one.
Try the seat modification first it's a lot cheaper. Move your seat forward 2 inches that should allow for quicker throttle response and better pedal travel. Which is basically all this product does. Unless you have a physical handicap that doesn't allow you to depress the accelerator pedal fully or quickly this product will do nothing for you

Happens when you switch setting while on the accelerator. Product uses stock cables and goes through the stock ecm won’t throw any codes if you follow instructions
Same here. Engine check light ON, and red lightning Volt ON! It’s the PC-31 and does it on both of my rams, one deleted and one stock. Maybe I have a bad module?

How exactly do you unplug the electrical cable into the gas cable without breaking something or ripping it

The program within is just for the sensor for the gas pedal, nothing to do with the turbo. Its easy to understand why you among many think otherwise but its just not so with a turbo.

Correct me if im wrong. But the research ive done shows theres no real improvement to the actual numbers. 0-60 and actual acceleration. All it does is open the throttle body sooner. So in turn it's technically just like you're flooring it all the time. WOT is WOT with or with out the pedal commander.
I feel you’re confusing turbo lag with the pedal delay common in ALL drive- by-wire setups. I have the BD booster in my G56. It made the pedal more sensitive, but i can still feel the deadness in the pedal.

Instead of standing on idle waisting fuel, start driving as soon as you got oil spread and pressure up. A diesel NEVER makes decent heat idling, and neither does a gas compared to driving it.

You do know all that these pedal booster products just tell your computer that your light input is heavier I if you're pushing the pedal 10% that tells the computer that you're pushing it 50% or any number of different variations depending on how you adjust the product. You can have the exact same results just by pushing the throttle pedal down farther and faster. Learning throttle control is is more useful than having a computer manipulate your input. If you're a person that has a physical handicap to where you can't fully extend the accelerator pedal I can see this product being useful , but if your legs and feet for long enough to use the full range of the accelerator pedal then I don't see the point of this product

All it does is re-map the throttle; you push the pedal down 10%, the pedal commander sees it and tells the PCM to add 50% throttle. Boom, seems like you just added 50whp. Honestly, I don't think you even need this on your truck especially since you have custom tunes... but that rarely stops people from throwing money at their vehicle. Nice review though. 👍

IMHO Pedal commander is good. Sprint booster is the best. I don’t need Bluetooth. Some people might like that though. $10 cheaper for SB. Has 2 extra features. Pedal lock and valet mode. SB is also smaller controller. Looks better in my car, like factory. Both are awesome products though.
I would also like to share. that the peddle commander from my knowlage is the best one on the market. but their are other throttle controllers that do have one nice thing this one dose not and that's the ability to add a button to your dash so it looks factory. but what s nice about the pedal commander is its Bluetooth so you can just hide it under the dash not telling people you have it and set it to eco mode when other people use your car or when a valet is using the car. I do wish they would add the feture tho that would alow you to limit speed or lock the device with your phone so you can hide it and lock it so someone cant steal your car life if you want to leave it running and run into the store. or maby back one with that feture and add a aps and remore shutoff over the cell network.

No, it just changes pedal sensitivity (kinda in short as it is a little bit complicated subject as this module reads pedal data and gives PCM different data).

Does not get rid of turbo lag
It’s not a lag delete it takes the lag out of the drive by wire throttle system
For turbo charged vehicles it also removes your turbo lag as a by product of that 👍🏼
No... unfortunately it doesnt remove the turbo lag. It changes the throttle response and as a by product it decreases the amount of time it takes for you to reach full throttle, therefore spools the turbo quicker but does not remove turbo lag (the lag is the same as pushing full throttle instantly). Please give people the correct information as you have a large audience watching. Good video 👌 i get what you're saying and you most likely understand this although other people most likely wont
Lachlan Stenzel turbo lag by definition is the time between hitting your throttle and feeling the torque of the motor after the turbo spools. This product removes ALL LAG as soon as your foot is on the throttle the turbo already spooled. There is 0 seconds between needing boost and having it. Removing throttle lag removed turbo lag so in turn yes this product removes turbo lag 👍🏼
RYAN MAYER you’re still wrong. Turbo spool is not torque from the motor. A diesel forces a turbo to spool immediately so there is no lag like gas vehicles. It’s only taking the throttle lag out so you get to feel the instant boost
