    Good old fashioned electrical diagnostics are where the skills are these days. Most garages don’t have the experience or expertise to do it, they prefer a ‘process driven’ diagnostic method supplied by the manufacturer. It’s ’parts darts’ until something positive happens. If it doesn’t they abandon it, steering you to a new car.
    Good old fashioned wires still carry voltage, current and now pulsed serial data, to drive networked units with an electronic ‘address’. Complicated, but those electrons still behave the same ! - they won’t jump open circuits, or blown fuses. Keep up the videos, very entertaining.

    Ok mind is more machine based, but the workings are the same.
    I'm more learning on the 5v systems ect....
    Your young chap has been given a golden job/opportunity in life......I'm only self trained/asking for advice ect.....
    Good work, keep the vids coming.

    Have you ever came across a fault on a transit custom van when you turn on the ignition the temperature gauge works for about 3 seconds then does not work.If your switch the ignition on and off you can sometimes get it to stay working and it will work all day

    revenue driven comes to mind deposit driven also things happen your a customer driven business

    • @rmsdiagnostics
      @rmsdiagnostics  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I am driven to give the customer a good service,I can’t do that is I keep getting people making appointments and not turning up, especially when booking weeks in advance and turning good customers away to keep a slot for somone who is happy to muck you around.

  • @martinbrown7587

    Several years ago I had my own business and some customers would complain about the amount l charged for a repair which took me 10 minutes to do and my reply was always you're paying for the knowledge l have acquired over the 30yrs in the business and as for customers not letting you know that you are no longer required, well l could write a book. 😡😡

    • @rmsdiagnostics

    Smart cars suffer from the lower engine/gearbox mounting failing because they're so shite. This seems to contribute to wiring faults where they shake around so much. Bloody awful cars. I've had more powerful lawnmowers 😂
