I’m 45 years old and absolutely zero experience in auto electrics , but I would give my left arm to come and learn from you in what I think is a fascinating trade , and in my opinion the best I’ve seen on TH-cam , your knowledge is amazing and the explanations you give are clear and informative, Too late in life now tho for an apprenticeship and a long way from me in Swansea , My favourite channel recently And Barney your smashing it buddy and got a great tutor 👏👏👏👍👍
Brilliant video as always, throughly entertaining and interesting. Never had a PUG, more of a XR4i man at that time, but I'm ever so fond of the older cars and that ones a peach. Happy Friday guys, have a great weekend. 😎
Customer thinks because you are the last person to touch there vehicle , the fault is down to what you have done . . Fitted a cd player for a customer and a month later he came back to say , he has a nail in his tyre and he most have got it when we fitted his cd player . . We do auto electrical work . . We don't use nails ! . . Took 45 mins to get through after I should him how we work 🤔
@@rmsdiagnostics Hmm frustrating. I've been using Haynes but find it lacking to say the least on the wiring diagrams side of things. Was hoping there would be a better alternative.
The fuel pump relay on this car and many k jetronics is a tachometric relay - i.e it turns the pump on only when there are ignition pulses when the engine is running - it will do a prime with key on though. The idea is it shuts rhe pump off should the engine stall..
Don't worry Barney.... you will soon be worth your weight in gold 🥕 Don't forget...after 3 compliments you get a pay rise.🥕🥕 Transporter may get 4 outings... faults on those buggers are not always what they seem. Enjoying the videos and the content boys. Linbus systems appear to be more problematic to diagnose than Canbus...I guess because of the daisy chain system.🥕🥕🥕
don’t be putting stupid ideas like pay rise into Barney little brain or that he might get another two compliments 🙈🙈 go check the videos with the yellow bmw x5 for how daisy chain can be a nightmare. 🥕🥕🥕
hi,you recently answered question of mine on youtube stevemcgowan3017.you said check fuses power and water ingress.on wifes 308hdi 2010 diesel.mot passed then right headlight went off after heavy rain.is it ok to unplug fusebox to check for water then plug back in with out needeing recoding or anything?it runs well at moment 158000mile.my sisters 308hdi had non start problem so i suggested the battery microchip thing at front of battery and it sorted it.
You can unplug and change the under bonnet fuse box no problem, the one inside is coded and can change the mileage and i if it goes up it won’t come back down
I would think my scope would have captured it but it would not have really proven where the fault lays, so need a replacement sensor as it so intermittent

That AutoData company doesn't seem much good does it? Most of the cars you have tried to get info from they have said no. shite, probably a British company...
we have 2 subscription to data companies, one has the basics for most cars, the next you can applying for anything you need for the brands they list, unfortunately they have had a upset with landrover/ jaguar and have never has any Suzuki listed. we can’t have every subscription as it would not be cost effective,I should have checked before booking the cars in. thanks for watching

@@rmsdiagnostics no wonder, as a whole, we are diminishing! It’s like being in that movie “idiocracy”.
Thanks for the reply! 👍
Society Patrick is a constant blame culture ,has been for years unless everything is recorded for proof the other is lying ….
Interesting to hear Alldata don't do wiring diagrams for Jaguar Land rover.
you can access anything they have listed but can’t supply anything you requested, they say they are in talks to get it reinstated 🥕🥕

Barney, thanks for mentioning a great old 'Album Name', Hunky Dory. Looked it up on YT and I was back in the 70's.
he listens to jazz when working on his own, old before his time
