I saw a picture on the web saying that you can get camber by adjusting the lower control arm. Is it true? How does one get camber in the rear if the shock mount seems solid/flush with the flat surface?
Hi could u help me with a question.. i do own a ibiza cupra 6j and have bought it with st suspension same like the one in the video.. but the rears are maxed out and the stance is ugly.. i was wondering if i could remove the adjustable plate of the rears and only use the spring.. is that save?
Every car is different, and that particular car does not have rear coil-overs. The technical term is near-coil shocks. This is a common arrangement on German cars of all classes, but especially ones with trailing arm (or semi-trailing arm) like most VWs, or for that matter my W126 300SD.
If I wanted to lower my car but use springs instead of coilovers then could I just simply buy smaller springs to put in the back and replace the stock ones?
Hello Krystian, you can use lowering springs but it's recommended to replace the stock shocks with something a little more performance oriented with better valving.

Hello Jacob, usually a coilover kit will come as a complete assembly per corner including everything needed for the install.
I wouldn't have used an impact to improperly torque my bolts but that's just me.
to slam out my rear so i leave the adjuster real low or high up?

You can remove the rear spring sleeve/adjusting plate but the car will be very low!

That's an adjustable spring kit. Coil-overs put the spring (coil) OVER the shock.

how long do coilovers take to settle also if they do need to settle once it ha will the car go any lower?
The springs should settle after a couple days of driving.
FCP Euro okay what does that mean by settle tho? Will the car go slightly lower or?
The vehicle could sit slightly lower from settling but it wouldn't be anything substantial.

Hello Fabian, the install should be similar on your 08 Jetta.
Yeah that's great for the rabbit but its not the same for a Cabrio
No jack stand if hydraulic should roll away you got your hand under there freak accidents happens
Hydraulic lifts have ratcheting locks like jack stands you lower them in to in case that happens
