Oh man! Wish I hadn’t had to do this before seeing this. I had the relevant pages from the service manual, but that wasn’t much help. Re the 16mm nut that’s threaded on the shock rod; a sawed off 5/8” spark plug socket will serve to hold the nut, working against the 9mm wrench on top. Thanks so much for putting these videos up. I’m still trying to get up the nerve to do the serpentine belt!
I'm replacing A front active shock soon. Do you recommend disconnecting the battery before unplugging the shock, and does the new shocker just plug in and work? No coding in required? Thank you.

I wish you made this video a few months ago! That trick would have saved me hours! Ended up finding a nut, bolt and washer to cinch the bearing in.
