    ℹ️ About the Episode:
When Marc is excited about something, you better just sit down and find out what all the hype is about! And let's not even get started on the nightlight ... Truth be told, these cushions really are a game-changer and quite possibly the most affordable RV upgrade we've ever done. This easy modification may very well win the KYD award for "best value" when it comes to RV upgrades. (*Note that this episode is not sponsored-we're just that excited about our newfound seated comfort!) Unless you have a really expensive Class A RV or a brand-new Airstream, chances are good that your RV cushions could be improved. On most of the RVs we've owned, the cushions were nearly flat after a few months of sitting on them during dinner. If you're living in your RV for a summer trip or full-time, forget about it! As you know, we're big fans of Ronnie from ‪@airstreamnutsandbolts‬ for always finding the best RV mods. He turned us on to the perfect replacement foam cushion that was super simple to trace, cut and replace. Watch the video for the full details. And make sure to watch to the end, because the bathroom nightlight we added to our Amazon store under "Our Favorite RV Items" will surely be your favorite RV mod too! Seriously, we don't know why we waited so long to find such a simple solution to nighttime blindness!

A tip from the upholstery industry. If your foam doesn't want to slide into your fabric, cover it with dry cleaning plastic bags. It will slide in easier.

Great video. We replaced the foam on our patio set. Your covers seemed to have big zipper openings but or covers didn’t . I found a pro tip by putting the foam in a trash bag then use the vacuum to shrink wrap them . They shrink down to half the size and slide right in. The hardest part is ripping the trash bag off when they are in

    Some great ideas!! Thanks.
Years ago we purchased a nightlight for our house bathroom. It is a 120V 0.18W nightlight. It is ON all the time, but during the day, or when the main lights are on, you can't tell it is on.
However, once it gets dark, it perfectly illuminates the bathroom. Never need to turn on the light. When we bought our trailer, I purchased a new one for the house, and the old one is now in the trailer. Since we currently always camp with Electricity (30amp) it works well. We also have multiple battery powered (rechargeable) motion detection LED lights that go in our cupboards. During the winter they come into the house and we use them in cupboards and closet.
My biggest frustration in our trailer is the padding of the seats. Ours is a simple 17ft Coachman, so your upgrade is very interesting.
I am enjoying your videos and and learning a lots. We are currently VACATIONERS, meaning we camp in only 1 or 2 locations per summer (2-3 weeks), and occasionally do a couple days in the fall. We are looking forward to retirement (July 1, 2024) and have begun planning some longer trips (Banff & Nova Scotia). Last June we did a test trip of 8 nights, staying only 2 nights in each park and moving about 300km between parks. We learned some lesson about how to travel further distances and change parks regularly.
    Have a great summer!

Love the night lights, mine have a rechargeable battery, I put them on our stairs, bathroom floor, and under the bed overhang to illuminate the floor, all movement censored, so I’m not tripping if I get up in the dark and I’m not waking up my husband! It’s just the right amount of light to see what you need to see.

Mr Beams motion sensor LED lights were the first things we put in when we got our travel trailer. They're wonderful...have them in our washroom, closet, pantry, and more. So great at night, bright enough to see but not bright enough to wake others up.

For others doing this....Cushion Ease or something like it goes over the dacron stuffing to making the cushion slide into the covers with ease. And you may want cut the cushions a bit larger than the covers...1/2 inch....so you have a nice snug fit. ❤

Not sure where to ask this question. I'm still waiting for my KYD summer to remember shirts. Order says processing but it has been in that state for long time. I usually receive these shirts by now. Thanks for any input.

I used a electric carving knife. Like you use to carve a turkey. Works great and smoother edges. Just for future reference. Thanks great job

Thanks for the cushion upgrade information - my rig desperately needs that upgrade, and I was wondering how to go about it.

You cannot believe how excited I was when I realized my backup camera is also the bluetooth, hands free phone, CD, and DVD player. I rarely have internet since I almost entirely boondock. Yes, I could get starlink, but I can't justify the expense since I rarely watch TV anyway.
Once in awhile I have wifi access for Netflix and Prime Video.

I'm going to give PERSIL a shout out. Rub the concentrate on stains like blood and wash. Stains come out better than Tide or any stain remover ever did. Good stuff!

Two parts of this video had me laughing out loud. 1. Of course, when Caleb was talking outside the bathroom. 2. Marc going on and on about how cool the new smart TV was and telling us all about it and then saying I can't turn it on because I can't find the remote. LOL LOL LOL

Electric knife (like you use to carve a turkey), Works great. Buy QUALITY foam which you are not going to find at hobby stores. We found a place in Dallas that was very knowledgeable and helped us with our custom designed and built queen sleeper sofa for our RV. I wish I could post a before and after picture. My wife did an outstanding professional quality job covering the sofa. It took about 200 hours of work to complete. Reduced the width by 6”, back height down 3” and depth by 1”. Arms and cushions were designed and custom made from scratch.

I had to cut some thick foam recently and I used a electric knife the ones that you use to cut like ham for Thanksgiving dinner LOL. it actually worked pretty good
