Super helpful. I'm planning to make a nerdy poodle skirt and this will help a ton. I can't believe that no one ever told me those little white things (star wheels) move. Thanks for sharing.
Would the steps be exactly the same on an explorer air 2? I'm hoping to double cut between my new maker three, but as I'm making a LOT of cuts for my daughter's GS troop, I'm hoping to get both machines working simultaneously
Hi jennifer, I have never cut anything before! Lol just got cricut air 2 from my sisters for my big 60 birthday on the 5th. You are an excellant teacher and have a great voice for teaching. I am going to cut out a simple bunny and the ears, all from felt. I "felt" so much more confident after watching your video. Another video said only use cricut felt so I was reluctant to go for it as my felt is not cricut felt. My question is this, must I bond my craft felt? Again my cricut is an Air 2. I would like to try your bunny project also if I can find the materials. Thanks. Sheryl
Yes, you can cut felt with the rotary blade on a Cricut Maker. The rotary blade can cut a variety of materials, including felt, silk, cotton, denim, canvas, and burlap. It can also cut delicate materials like crepe and tissue paper. jennifermaker.com/dollar-tree-bunny/ help.cricut.com/hc/en-us/articles/360009432294-All-About-Cricut-Blades-and-Machine-Tools#h_323dbb19-4e8c-4ec7-bcb8-f4762e92bdda
Good evening... Norrine recommended you... That is such a cute bunny.... I have a question about my cricut expression...I hadn't used it in quite a while. When I went to use it all I could get it to do is turn on... Someone said to press the on, lock and enlarge buttons at same time till rainbow came up... That happened but nothing else happened... Hopefully you can help me with what I'm doing wrong... Thank you
Thanks so much! Cricut would be the place to ask this question for the Expression. If you are having problems, we suggest you contact Cricut directly: help.cricut.com/hc/en-us
When cutting felt with the Cricut Maker, you can use either the fine point/bonded fabric blade or the rotary blade. jennifermaker.com/dollar-tree-bunny/
While felt is not officially listed by the manufacturer as a material that Cricut Joy can cut, it is still possible to cut felt with the Joy. Not all felt is created equal so use a good quality felt like the Cricut brand. It cut faux leather beautifully. help.cricut.com/hc/en-us/articles/360043299554-Which-materials-can-I-cut-with-Cricut-Joy-
Hello! You are probably asked this so many times but I ask you incase you answer here. Is it possible to use a cheaper cricut to cut felt for adhearing to skirts and tops? The cricut maker is wonderful of course but it's out of my budget range. Thank you in advance.
Hello Jennifer this question I have has nothing to do with the video I've worked on projects and then when I go back in after I've saved them I can see my project name but I can't see what I saved is there anyway that I can get those back
I tried every type of felt and still couldn’t get it to cut. I even changed blades. I ended up cutting it by hand. I cut my purple mat up pretty well making so many passes.
The better the quality of felt the better results. Cricut brand is good quality and easy to cut. jennifermaker.com/felt-succulents-easy/ You can put a sheet of contact paper or transfer tape sticky side up on your FabricGrip mat before you position your fabric on it. This means the fabric bits get stuck on that paper or tape rather than your mat, and it extends the life of your mats.
A plea for help. Yes, I'm new and have a Cricut Maker 3. I'm trying to make my DSH a set of alpha/ numeric vinyl cut letters to use on projects. I am trying to fit them on a 12 x 12 vinyl. I can't fir the life of me find anything online that tells me how to lock the fonts ratio so it doesn't loose settings. The letters get wider than what's intended. I was trying to fill the 12 x 12 design space and have tried deleting letters when it ran over 12". What am i doing wrong??😢
It is not listed as a material that can be cut but I have heard that people have done it. Here is an article that I found. cutecraftsboutique.com/can-cricut-joy-cut-felt/ Here is Cricut's list for the Joy. help.cricut.com/hc/en-us/articles/360043299554-Which-materials-can-I-cut-with-Cricut-Joy-
Felt much better after watching your video. Thank you! ❤

Thank you Jennifer ! I really have a hard time with felt and the fine tip blade . What are your thoughts on using the rotary blade ?
Yes, you can cut felt with the rotary blade on a Cricut Maker. The rotary blade can cut a variety of materials, including felt, silk, cotton, denim, canvas, and burlap. It can also cut delicate materials like crepe and tissue paper. jennifermaker.com/dollar-tree-bunny/

Hello Jennifer. I want to request a video on how to set up stickers with backing. Print and cut in the cricut machine. Thank you

@@JenniferMaker thank you so very much♥️
Hi Jennifer, never cut felt before so I m wondering why you don’t use the cutting wheel to cut the felt?
When cutting felt with the Cricut Maker, you can use either the fine point/bonded fabric blade or the rotary blade. jennifermaker.com/dollar-tree-bunny/
If I am cutting wool felt would it be better to use the deep cut blade?
Great sharing 👍🌷☘🌹🌵🏵🌺
Thank you!
Jennifer, can you cut felt on the Joy?

Yes!
To cut felt, would it help the cut better if I place transfer tape on the mat sticky side up and then the felt on top?
That can be very helpful!🥰
If your mats aren’t as sticky anymore a rotary blade works best lol 😂 I’ve tried both. Wool cuts like butter but acrylic/polyester takes a few passes
Great tip! 😊🌻

You should see all of your saved projects under "my projects"🥰
Hi everyone, Hi Jennifer
Hello!
My Cricut Explore II only had two options for felt
Take a look at my blog post that has more detailed directions, jennifermaker.com/cut-fabric-with-cricut-explore-maker/
I tried every type of felt and still couldn’t get it to cut. I even changed blades. I ended up cutting it by hand. I cut my purple mat up pretty well making so many passes.
Do you need to use another material under the Felt, to avoid the felt to be all over the mat?

On the top of the canvas, where the measurement is located - there is a small lock icon. Click on that to maintain proportions. 😊🌻
I just bought 35% wool felt. Would you reccomend the same settings? I am using it for an original project. Thanks!
I would do a test cut and start with that setting and then adjust from there 💗
Can we cut felt in purple mat ? Because I’m using pink Mat to cut fabric
Yes, that is what I use!💗
can you cut this on an explore air 2?
You can cut bonded felt. 😊🌻
Can you cut felt on a Cricut Joy?
It is not listed as a material that can be cut but I have heard that people have done it. Here is an article that I found. cutecraftsboutique.com/can-cricut-joy-cut-felt/ Here is Cricut's list for the Joy. help.cricut.com/hc/en-us/articles/360043299554-Which-materials-can-I-cut-with-Cricut-Joy-
Do you have some bees to do on felt
You can request that. jennifermaker.com/projectrequests/ You could also look in Design Space for something and cut it with felt.
Can you cut felt on explore 2
Yes! jennifermaker.com/dollar-tree-bunny/ jennifermaker.com/felt-succulents-easy/
Thanks Jennifer 😊
