@@mukzz3381 Baked lighting is essentially precalculating the lighting using an offline system. Normally this involves using the same scene but with something like ray tracing or path tracing. This lighting data is then baked out into a texure and or light map which is then applied to the scene. This was far more common in older games from the 7th generation and before. Back when real time lighting was not as common. The main issue with baked lighting is that it is static so it does not benefit most open world games or games with dynamic times of day. But since Naughty Dog and plenty of others use a fixed time of day and more linear world design it is far easier to use baked lighting to achieve it's overall look. This is why TLOU2 can look so natural in many of it's scenes. Unreal Engine and Unity have some great explanations as well for what baked lighting is as well on their sites since the ways to do it are practically identical in almost all engines.

One of the biggest improvements I’d like to see going forward is in setting the characters and other dynamic objects in the environment, since that’s the biggest flaw in TLOU2’s graphics (that and better reflections in glossier areas, since some areas like the forest have visible artifacts in wider shots). Even then, the way they managed to get an almost entirely indirectly lit look was amazing. Shoutout to both the artists and the tech teams on this game.
Some places nowadays were reconstructed of course, but it's important to note that ND did all changes starting with 2013, as if outbreak happened and time passed, so if we could see 2013 footage that would've been a killer =D Very impressive footage. Shows ND attention to details which I think I lack completely in comparison!

Soundview Stadium is a spot on reflection of what Lumen Field looks like, everything from the north end zone seats to the enclosed south endzone stands, complete with the platform where the 12th Man flag is raised before every Seahawks game. Even the baseball stadium looks spot on in the game.

Naughty Dog really did their homework. its amazing what they were able to achieve on the PS4. i'm now going back through and enjoying the game on the PS5 at 60fps mode and its amazing.

I stayed in rhe Sheridan Grand (the hotel next to the convention center, you can go inside the hotels garage and find a dead WLF with infected) so when i was there, it felt pretty crazy to imagine all of this
The thing about living in some post apocalyptic world like in TLOU most building, road, Forrest got even greener and by that the air is way more refreshing and having a mother nature eating the entire city doesn't mean she ruined it she just making it beautiful to look at.
I dunno dude, I'm pretty sure if your house is crumbling in, theres no power and the toilet can't even flush anymore because the pipes are filled with vines and foliage, I think you'd struggle selling it on.

Gran juego, aunque sigo sin entender porque la Parte I no sale también en PS4 si el motor gráfico es el mismo de la Parte II. Pero bueno con esto de las subidas de precio de PS5 lo bueno es que seguirán habiendo juegos intergeneracionales, ya me veo yo a Capcom sacando el RE4 R en PS4 aunque dijesen que solo next gen, ya lo hicieron con el 8 y luego recularon, con estas cosas si no arranca la gen en ventas repetirán la estrategia Capcom y el resto. Si subes el precio de x consola haces q la gente pase de comprarla, no alcanzas las ventas q esperabas y versión de PS4 para "disimular" pero fijo, esto nunca falla.

It's crazy to think what the world would look like if most of the human population died so that there were only a few million/ couple of hundred thousand of us left... All the growth in the last of us part 1 happened in over 20 years and in part 2 in like 25 ish years... So if a zombie outbreak like this one happened now, our world could look like this by 2050. That's mad. I can't even imagine it.
over time concrete cracks from roots and rain freezes in those cracks, expanding and breaking it more, and the it dries out and allows dirt to accumulate in the space. things decompose on the streets and sidewalks, eventually turning into soil. rain and wind also will bring dirt into the streets where it will accumulate. over 30 years, its not really a concrete surface. there may be chunks scattered, but nature takes back what is hers.

you actually can change the year on google maps. But it only is possible on PC not on smartphone or tablet.

Gran juego, aunque sigo sin entender porque la Parte I no sale también en PS4 si el motor gráfico es el mismo de la Parte II. Pero bueno con esto de las subidas de precio de PS5 lo bueno es que seguirán habiendo juegos intergeneracionales, ya me veo yo a Capcom sacando el RE4 R en PS4 aunque dijesen que solo next gen, ya lo hicieron con el 8 y luego recularon, con estas cosas si no arranca la gen en ventas repetirán la estrategia Capcom y el resto. Si subes el precio de x consola haces q la gente pase de comprarla, no alcanzas las ventas q esperabas y versión de PS4 para "disimular" pero fijo, esto nunca falla.
porque ya salió la PS5 hace dos años. es normal que vayan dejando la PS4 atras. de hecho la ps4 ya de por si está teniendo una sobrevida mas larga de lo normal. la ps3 no seguia recibiendo nada nuevo despues de dos años salvo los fifa y los pes. y lo mismo con el resto de consolas. a demas el juego este ya está anunciado para pc. seguro que antes de fin de año sale, no es necesario que vayas corriendo a comprar una ps5
Tener una consola es un lujo que uno decide tener.

It's crazy to think what the world would look like if most of the human population died so that there were only a few million/ couple of hundred thousand of us left... All the growth in the last of us part 1 happened in over 20 years and in part 2 in like 25 ish years... So if a zombie outbreak like this one happened now, our world could look like this by 2050. That's mad. I can't even imagine it.

over time concrete cracks from roots and rain freezes in those cracks, expanding and breaking it more, and the it dries out and allows dirt to accumulate in the space. things decompose on the streets and sidewalks, eventually turning into soil. rain and wind also will bring dirt into the streets where it will accumulate. over 30 years, its not really a concrete surface. there may be chunks scattered, but nature takes back what is hers.

What a coinsidence that the two have zombies,online,great protagonists with a dark past,launching in ps3 and their last games are in ps4, and been about revenge and redemption.

@@RicardoHernandez-do6ns ok, haha, but yes, you can just see how rockstar is becoming more lazy by the passing years, i mean if we don't count the gta trilogy definitive edition, rockstar has never made a bad game, and thats a rarrity, but who knows, GTA VI is not looking good in my eyes. I hope i'm wrong though!
