The problem with this compilation is that you don't get a replay........so if you miss it, you miss it (or you rewind). Part of the fun of a knockout is the slo-mo replay to appreciate the moment.
The bigger issue is that the video is so old. Almost none of these would make a "best KOs" vid in 2023. I consider this video more of a pioneer/legacy KOs vid

Jonny Bones is still the versatile finisher the UFC's ever seen. We all probably hate his off time antics, but if you watch all of his fights it's raw dominance on the feet, Greco, grappling, and bjj. Do one of his finish comps.
Anderson silva is the best "finisher" the UFC has ever seen, some of his knockouts are straight out of the matrix, Jones is the greatest of all time but Anderson was the greatest finisher

I saw the first 4 UFC's on pay-per-view when they came out. Then I worked at a Video Watch movie store so I rented all of the new UFC's when they came out on DVD.
Then I bought all of the mma dvd's I could find. I had 3 stacks of dvd's 6ft tall, it had UFC, Gladiator Challenge, SuperFight, KOTC, Pride. I rented all of the ppv Pride Fighting shows when they aired, up to 32#.
Ufc, mma, etc. has been a favorite spectator sport for myself. It's been quite a ride since its infancy.

Hell yea. I started watching in 95 when I was 12. My freinds dad used to get the VHS tapes and let us watch. UFC 4 was the first one I ever saw.

I had to pause it after the chuck vs tito clip when you mentioned how you thought there were better fighters in Pride during chuck's reign in ufc and i couldn't agree more with you. Only thing that kept Chuck from getting to go head to head with some of those guys in the UFC was bc Pride didnt drug test and most of them wouldn't have been able to fight in most states bc they were all walking PED's over there
Good compilation but i wish they showed the quick replay of each. I get what you mean about Chuck. So fun to watch but the best guys he beat in title fights was Randy and Tito. I give him the most credit for derailing Vitor when he was supposed to get smashed that fight. To be fair to the UFC guys they were tested (Not by USADA and not the best testing but good enough where they couldnt juice off the rails) while the Pride guys were encouraged to juice to the gills. The ones that were using heavy were evident once they left Pride like Wanderlei, Crocop and Fedor. Nonetheless I love it all. You should do a Jon Jones compilation.
A lot of these are super old. There have been a lot of crazy KOs since this video came out.

Steve Mazzagati was one of the worst refs in MMA history, refs like him get a lot of guys hurt and some guys killed.
I always thought the silva front kick knock out was over rated.
He was much longer than his opponent, so it's not that hard to do if you have the flexibility.

Yeah these most definitely arent the greatest KOs in ufc history, but the majority of the fighters in the video are legends of the sport

The one thing I don't like about MMA/UFC, etc., is that after they knock someone out they go in and pound them. I know it's part of the show, but it seems unnecessarily violent. Once they're down, they're down.
On a different yet related topic, you mention that you like martial arts. I concur. MA can be put into three basic categories:
1. Esthetic martial arts. Most Asian MAs fit this category, as they have an artistic/spiritual quality to them, and can be practiced by one person alone for the sake of the art itself.
2. Fight sports. All western MAs fit into this category: Boxing, fencing, wrestling. Many Asian MAs also have this aspect. Of course, MMA fits here as well.
3. Self-defense systems. Again, all MAs have this to some degree, although tai chi is not really training you for this in the sense of an actual fight. Please understand, it CAN be used as such, but it requires a lot of understanding and practice *in a martial/self-defense way* for it to work, and most people don't practice it for that. Popular systems are krav maga and systema, to name but a few. Krav maga practitioners will often refuse to call their system a "martial art" because, as they say, there is no art in it. It is exclusively a self-defense system.

I love MMA. I gotta say I disagree with the list. The Dan Henderson KO of Micheal Bisping is #1 to me. I remember watching that fight. Bisping just kept circling to his left and walked right into DH's right hand. Only seconds before it happened, I told my wife, "Watch this, this guy is circling right into Hendo's power. He's gonna end up in the hospital"....then boom.
My wife said, "Oh my God, is he dead?"
I said, "He may be." That's how bad it was watching it live. She couldn't believe I knew it was going to happen. I remember it like it was yesterday.
