JR Chikuhō Main Line driver's view from Nōgata to Wakamatsu

The Chikuhō Main Line is a railway line in Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan, operated by Kyushu Railway Company (JR Kyushu). It connects Wakamatsu Station in Kitakyushu City with Haruda Station in Chikushino City.
The line opened from Wakamatsu Station, where the port is located, to Nōgata Station for coal transportation on August 30, 1891. It continued to transport coal until the 1960s, but is now on a commuting line.
There is no electrification from Wakamatsu Station to Orio Station (10.8km) and it is called the Wakamatsu Line. Also, from Orio Station to Nogata Station (14.0km) and Keisen Station beyond that, it is electrified with 20kV AC 60Hz and is called Fukuhoku Yutaka line.
The BEC819 series branded "DENCHA" (Dual ENergy CHArge train), is a two-car battery electric multiple unit (BEMU) train operated by JR Kyushu.
The train, Orio-Wakamatsu-Orio (21.6km) is driven by the battery inside the cars, and Orio-Nōgata-Orio (28.0km) is powered by the trolley. Raise or lower the pantograph at Orio Station.
