emt5330 we have fire too but we do not have 20 engines turn up & have firemen standing round for hours. Engines are called when needed.I have been to New York many times & I know that fire houses are not that far apart. Our can be as fare as 10 miles away, just saying.

I’ll take more manpower any day on a job vs waiting for a company when you really need them.
