  • While waiting for the X100VI to get delivered (eventually), I went out into Portsmouth, NH, to do a little street photography on a very windy day and played with various fujifilm film simulations to see which looks best.
The Film Simulations that I tried are Provia, Classic Chrome, Eterna, Nostalgic Neg and Classic Neg. All of the film sims were created using Fujifilm's RAW Studio.

This was a fun watch! I loved your music choice, commentary, and how you decided to show us the images. Thanks for posting!

I usually decide when editing the photos. When I go out, I make sure to get as much B-Roll footage of each spot so that when I make my selections, I have enough for a video. The music is the last thing I pick.
Thank you so much for watching and posting!!!

This was awesome to see as an X-T3 user who wonders what the newer film sims look like. Thank you, hopefully you will be rewarded with your shiny new X100VI soon.

I am one of the lucky ones and got the 100VI on the day of release and I believe I was first to pick up from my local camera shop. When asked for deposit I decided to pay in full just in case and I am glad I did now.. Loving Reala Ace, Nostalgic and Eterna/cinema sims and cannot choose my favorite yet. I hope your get your camera soon because I know you regret selling the 100V. But listing to everyone the waiting list time is getting longer. I cannot understand how fuji could not have anticipated to some degree how well this camera would sell. They should have known by back orders off the 100V, or maybe they did and its very smart marketing move. But customers will only wait for so long before deciding other brands and Nikon ZF is getting great reviews. Look forward to seeing the camera in your hand and hearing your thoughts on it

I'm glad that you were able to get your camera. Hopefully I'll get mine soon. We'll see.
I'm certain that Fujifilm is doing the best they can right now. The ONLY thing I was disappointed in was the way they released the special edition here in the states, but they quickly made up for it by finding and voiding all of those bot purchases.
Fuji knew they had a massive demand on their hands. It's why they moved assembly from Japan to China. Tik Tok enthusiasm is hard to judge. Is it a fad or is it real. I think the REAL wildcard in all of this was the scalpers.
Fujifilm is in uncharted territory. No other camera maker has this kind of craze. I think it will get better soon. The REAL villains are the scalpers... down with them! ;-)
Thank you so much for watching!

This was a cozy watch! Would love to see more like this, but in nature with lots of greens, as each film sim renders greens so differently.
Mind sharing the name of the piano tune? So cozy.

Thank you so much for watching! And I'm totally with you on your suggestion. At the moment, I'm waiting for things to start budding/turning green. I might take one more trip up into the NH or VT mountains to see if I can get some waterfalls with a good snow... maybe. But I hear you! Spring can't happen soon enough!!!
The music I used in this video are as follows:
      Old Bossa - Twin Musicom
      Peacefully - E's Jammy Jams
Three Wise People - E's Jammy Jams

so you can take the photo and THEN select the film simulation? on the camera or on their app?!?! sorry I'm new to Fuji and I'm deciding between a tx-5 and a tx-50. The dial seems nice on the TX-5 but if I could select afterwards then I'd prefer the upgrades of the TX-5 over the newer one.

The answer is actually both. If you photograph in RAW and download those RAW files to your computer, Fujifilm's RAW Studio can do your film sim and other adjustments like sharpness, color, etc. BUT it still requires your camera. You plug your camera to your computer and when you do the adjustments in RAW Studio, it sends it back to the camera and your camera processes the image.

Lol. Fuji just released an official statement the other day stating they are closing off new orders for the x100VI in Japan. They also dropped some numbers in regards to production of the x100vi as well. All in all, if you didn't get your x100vi on the first wave of pre-orders, my guess is that you will not have a x100vi in your hands until probably fall/winter this year. Sucks but the demand is absolutely insane for the x series and it will likely only rise from here.

I saw that, too. They stopped orders for Japan, only. Here's hoping my order comes through sometime this month.
I'm still pulling for Fujifilm to make it through this. I will be curious to see where they are by the start of summer.
      Fingers crossed!
      Thank you for watching!!!!

no point in getting the 100vi when u already have a better set up

Very true. Especially come this summer when the X-T5 gets the firmware update and gets the new film sim.
The reason I'm getting the X100VI is for it to be my personal, everyday camera + be my additional camera for wedding photography.
Thank you so much for watching!!!
