They actually did a promotion for this movie in Vegas like it was a boxing match. You can look it up Aw damn. I forgot you didn’t do all the Nightmare movies. Eh it’s fine They actually approached the original Mrs Vorhees actress Betsy Palmer about coming back. But she said no because she thought her dialogue made no sense for the character to say. I assume she didn’t get to part that said it was Freddy disguised as her After learning that Will’s actor is Dipper from Gravity Falls, I can’t help but think of him when I hear him talk 😂 There was an ending concept where Freddy and Jason are in hell and are about to start fighting, but then Pinhead from the Hellraiser movies shows up to stop them and says “Gentleman, what seems to be the problem?” But a different studio owned the character rights
I never clicked so damn fast brotha I think I broke my thumb freddy vs jason is a gem bro I remember going to see it opening night with my family. Such a thrill ride and one of my favorite horror movies of all time.
Fun fact: after this released dimension films came up with the idea to do Michael vs pinhead but after they couldn’t acquire the rights to both characters they decided to do RZ Halloween remake
29:22 I have the faintest memory of waking up at 3am after crashing on the living room floor and seeing my dad chilling on the couch with a look of just absolute "WTF am I watching?" and I turned around to look at the TV and this is the very first thing I see and I remember thinking "WTF is he watching?" Definitely wasn't expecting to see some goalie getting stabbed in the eyeballs but there I was.
Yeh dude! Glad you watched this one. Yeah I agree, in real world I feel like Jason should have got more on Freddy but I think they wanted to be like Freddy was the true villain and Jason more a kinda victim and tool of him in this one. Defo still recommend the 2009 Friday movie.
I find this "fun" but the tone is all off. They mostly get the NOES tone right.. until they pull him into the real world. It seems more like a WWE/music video than a horror film.

But seriously, this was clearly going for cheesy horror (you have all the hallmarks, from dumb characters and gory deaths to gratuitous nudity and unexpected comedy) with a fun spin (two slasher villains fighting each other). I don't think you can make it scary without a complete overhaul.
they need Ryan renynolds and the deadpool writers to pen a sequel where Freddy is just a head breaking the 4th wall annoying Jason all while Jason is getting awesome kills ....make it quirky but look gritty and gross but funny...
hell yeah man! this is one of the faves lol had to rent the vhs back then. This and Alien Vs. Predator did a pretty good job foe being what these movies are. cant wait to see your reaction to Alien: Romulus
