Money advice is subjective, what works for you may not work for someone else, but it's always better to plan. I'm quite lucky exposed to personal finance at an early age, started job 19, bought first home 28, got laid-off work 36 amid covid-outbreak, and at once I consulted an advisor to handle growing my finance. As of today, I'm only 25% short of my $1m goal after subsequent investments.

Success depends on the actions or steps you take to achieve it. Building wealth involves developing good habits like regularly putting money away in intervals for solid investments. Financial management is a crucial topic that most tend to shy away from, and ends up haunting them in the near future.., I pray that anyone who reads this will be successful in life

If you lack market knowledge, your best bet is to seek advice or support from a consultant or investing coach. Contacting a consultant may sound simple, but it's how I've managed to stay afloat in the market and increase my portfolio to roughly 60% early this year. It is, in my opinion, the best way to get started in the industry right now.

financial advisors could make a lot of difference, particularly in a market such as this. Stocks are pretty unstable at the moment, but if you do the right math, you should be just fine. Bloomberg and other finance media have been recording cases of folks gaining over 250k just in a matter of weeks/couple months, so I think there are a lot of wealth transfer in this downtime if you know where to look. I have been using an FA since 2019, and I return at least $121k ROI, and this does not include capital gain.

It didn't take me long to reach my goal of having over $3.8 million in my retirement savings alone at the age of 56. I would have more today if I started sooner. I was advised to diversify my portfolio among several assets such as stocks and bonds since this can protect my inherited portfolio of about $2.5m. I’m used to just buying and holding assets which doesn’t seem applicable to the current rollercoaster market plus inflation is catching up with my portfolio. I’m really worried about survival after retirement.

I have been a dividend focused investor for a long time. This does not mean I don't own growth stocks, I do. A well rounded portfolio should be a mixture of both categories. One way to minimize the anxiety out of stock market investing, is to make sure you keep a large cash cushion. I invest in the market, but never put all my money in market.

Dividends are dope. Personally, I sometimes use my dividends to buy other dividend and growth stocks for diversification instead of reinvesting in the same stock. To each their own methods though. The good thing is that you’re investing in the first place and that’s what’s important.

In my view, staying invested is not just a financial strategy; it's a philosophy that aligns with long-term wealth-building. Markets have their ups and downs, but history has shown that, over time, they tend to appreciate. By weathering the short-term fluctuations and remaining invested, one has the opportunity to benefit from the compounding effect, capitalize on market recoveries, and achieve financial growth. Staying invested requires patience, discipline, and a focus on the bigger picture - a strategy that, in the journey towards wealth, has proven to be consistently rewarding.

This video is really spot on. I've only met one billionaire, as I met him at the hotel where I worked a couple of years ago, and saw him a couple of times, getting to know him a bit as we talked. I even made the mistake of bringing up the subject of baseball with one of his adult sons, as the family used to own a MLB franchise. As it turned out, the son didn't follow the game.
Both times he traveled with an entourage, including the top officials within the company. He's probably close to 80 years of age, but is still a part of their board of directors, IIRC, and the company is under his name, which is essentially being passed down to his adults sons, which were both present. I met both sons, including the elder, which got in late around 11:45pm, give or take. They were ALL waiting on him the second trip, thinking he got in well after midnight, and might have been out and about, which was false. I went outside and spoke with the father while their black SUVs were waiting lined up, ready to go, and assured him he'd be down, and that he'd only gotten a bit late but not after midnight.
The father was very different than anyone you'd meet, as both times he visited, the moment he got off the elevator, while his entourage waited patiently for him, he would try and involve himself with literally everyone and every conversation in the lobby, including those of us that worked there, the other guests, and of course those within his party. The first time I saw him, he asked his group what the advice or idea of the day was. On the second trip, as I was talking with him outside, a pair of guests were leaving the hotel and he tried to get a ride with them, wanting to know where they were headed, and claiming he had some "spending money" with him. It was funny at the time, but I was intrigued nontheless as there was no way that these people knew who he was. Like I said, he was simply trying to interact with literally everyone in some fashion, and on both trips, while the entourage would gather closer to where I worked, he'd bring me into the discussion both times, wanting to know my thoughts.
While a portion of his group consisted of men in dress and tie like the CEO, CSO, etc, there were those that you would might think are your well dressed neighbors, when in reality they are his top advisers and go to individuals. There's a lot of negative views on billionaires, but believe when I say that they put in the time and effort to get where they're at, and just seeing how they operate, I think they clearly must have a difficult time shutting off things within their brain, always ready to be on the move for the next adventure of the day. Those that follow them get a physical and mental work out, I believe, and it must not be easy to follow in the footsteps, as they're naturals at what they do good.

Only if a good amount of folks do what you teach, just imagine how many millionaires we already have or will have in the future. Not the sad statistics where at least 50% of people are living paycheck to paycheck, even for high income earners. Great contents as always!

It really isn’t about how much you save, it’s about how you manage your money. Whether you work to earn income or invest, it still boils down to income vs expenses, so yeah you may look into investment advisors for a strategy that suits your goals

Was very interesting, I think the whole move on in a millisecond is probably a little off just on intuition. I think this is true for people in their life at a lower tier of transactional smaller function. I think once you start moving up the hierarchy of their life and are near the top of the intricacy of their business they probably understand mistakes happen, work fast and break things is in their DNA, I think it has to be a mistake that makes sense in context of reaching for success but I doubt they’d just drop someone of quality in an instance. Everything requires some maintenance when it’s a valuable thing you don’t just toss it. I only say this because I guarantee people will hear that and think what you said is a universal truth in every context when it’s obviously not.

No matter how much energy that you have you got to admit that no one becomes rich by doing all the work alone. That's why you hire a worker to save your time to do other things that require your attention. Because time=money.
