    i dont know if anyones ready to admit this yet but mitchell is on another level to even Tom right now , WSM is literally just one competition of many but it carries the weight of the person being crowned "worlds strongest man" its just a title. My opinion is the worlds strongest man is the person who consistenly wins shows and dominates , that man is Mitchell Hooper by a LONG shot.

    • @Vipinnnn17
      @Vipinnnn17 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +13

      I'll say Hooper is better than Tom, not by a long shot though. If Hooper hadn't hurt he himself he would've won by 2 points at most.

      WSM is ridiculous in today's world of online shows and all the e-media. Organizers should change the way they do the whole thing or they'll become history too fast. They're already not standing the competition from AC and Shaw

    • @matthewrud4550
      @matthewrud4550 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +9

      Mitch is much better with his prep and overall consistency compared to Tom…..or anyone else for that matter. Tom seems to always be in a wave type pattern on competition day. You never know if he’s going to be in a valley or peak come game time….the exception being WSM. But with so many outstanding shows now the luster has definitely dulled on WSM. Honestly I think if the Shaw Classic isn’t the biggest title currently it will be in three years.

    • @simenandersen3262
      @simenandersen3262 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I kinda agree, but I still think WSM winner is WSM simple as that.
      Tom beat Hooper twice in Giants live last year, and was only a log press away from beating him in SMOE, and only lost Rogue due to the ridiculous bull pull. Only margins prevented Tom from beating Hooper 4 times last year. But it would still be ridiculous to start debating which of them was World's Strongest Man.

    I think, one aspect that works against Mitch getting many views on his follow up video is, that the amount of good info can be too much for the common viewer - if it gets too technical, "only" the more hardcore strongman fans will watch - but all the potential viewers, who just want to be entertained, stay away.
    I think, that that balance between entertainment and education might cost a man like Mitchell Hopper a lot of views. Sad, because he does a LOT of good for the sport.

    Eddie’s axel to me is significantly more impressive. Hooper double dipped while Eddie didn’t even single dip. It was pure pressing strength. But on the flip side hooper’s overall ability is unmatched. He went on to hit other records and win the show. Amazing.

  • @Testoodope
    @Testoodope 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

    I believe that the reason why Mitch doesn't get as many views as expected after hitting multiple world records is because he's difficult to like. Many think he's arrogant, some say it's confidence. But the thing that I don't see being pointed out is that he seems overly calculated. Something about him feels inauthentic. He's obviously one of the most gifted modern strongmen, but being a great athlete isn't enough to guarantee a bunch of views.

      Yes, the only time limit was that it had to be reasonable and that was said to be in the 10 to 15 minute range. Loz talked about, Mitch talked about it, Tom talked it about. Mitch followed the rules of the event, just like all the other competitors.

    Mitch just doesn't have a magnetic personality like many other Strongmen, which may be why his channel doesn't get as many views as others. He also admitted that people think he's arrogant and has talked about some video series that viewers don't like. The videos he's done comparing himself to the all-time greats, is not a good look in my opinion. I don't know if he comes up with these ideas himself, or if someone else is feeding him ideas. It's like he's trying too hard to constantly prove himself and be accepted. I was lucky enough to meet him in person last year and he is a very very nice guy.
