it's been a while, but I would also recommend vests with Lolita skirts. Like the corsets, vests can be found brand or off-brand at many stores and they often have cute details (ornament front buttons, halter neck, corset back, etc.)
kimchi yes! That is another really good suggestion that I’ve seen used quite a bit, especially by people who do both ouji and lolita. It’s worth mentioning that you can often find cute vests at thrift stores! I see them all the time when I go.
THE MUSIC AT THE END!!! I LOVE VOCALOID OMGGGG
This actually really helped! Seems simple in hindsight, the bustle kinda belt really did it for me
Thank you!!! ( as a [practicing] dollmaker, lolita fashion is a *huge* interest, I didn't even think to make a cropped shirt! Thanks again!!!!!)
Peter Trippi of course! Glad I could help!
Omg your intro music brought me back.. I made a cover of that song which is till on youtube when I was like 12. I love to coord skirts too. Your make up is really cute in this video! I love suspender skirts, but don't have any. I really don't like high waisted skirts but I didn't think about how it would make it easier to coord. I also don't wear gothic lolita though which I feel like theyre more common in classic and gothic.
Thank you so much! I kind of agree, You don't see a lot of sweet high waisted stuff. I think it would look really cute though!
Skirts are literally my favorite thing to wear. I’m waiting for some new ones in the mail atm.
I'm not a bit fan of them, but my wallet is lol
This popped up on my feed and this is actually REALLY helpful since I'm just starting my wardrobe. Thank you so much for making this!
Of course, I’m glad I could help!
I am in LOVE with your haircut and the way it's dyed. So gorgeous and doll-like!
Lovely! I had NO idea how anyone would wear skirts! Thank you for this
Gaia7983 Glad I could help!!
great video! it's quite amazing how those little things really make a difference :) I have a high waits skirt form axes femme, but as I saw on your video seems like the high waist area ist not higher than 15cm (6 inch aprox.) and my one seems higher, do you know how can I fix it? cause I'm not so tall and the waist area kind of a folds :s
you could treat it like a regular waist skirt and use the advice from this video. If you're crafty, attach lace or another decorative material to the top but if you're not sure how to sew I wouldn't recommend it.
Great video!
Out of subject : were is the blouse you're wearing in the video from? It fits you so well😍
Bodyline actually! it's one of the first lolita items I ever bought actually. it's not the best material but it's cute and gets the job done!

Pochatalupae thanks! 😊
Yees! I dislike how I look in a fully elastic waist skirt without anything over. Great tips!
I just happened to find a lolita skirt second hand, do you have any advice for an inexpensive cropped white or blue blouse? That was my favorite option, and I also want to ask how a waistcoat might tie in?
Soufflé Song has some good blouses! There’s also tons of options on Devil Inspired. Waist coats are another great option! They’re usually slightly more expensive though, but if you’ve got the budget for it then go for it!
@@Pochatalupae thank you so much for responding so quickly. I'm so excited to make my first coordinate
@@talithacrow7530 you’re very welcome! And good luck!!
Oh shit this is so cute and helpful! Thank you so much!
Is purchasing at Amazing for Lolita clothing safe? I never buy clothes online.
Lolita from Amazon will most likely be cheap material, and look very ita. Try lacemarket, or look carefully on bodyline if you're looking for afordable lolita.
No it's a terrible idea. Use DevilInspired if you're really on a budget, they have nice affordable pieces there
Jsks/ops for me cover up my problem areas (stomach and boobs) where as skirts seem to highlight them but I would really like to wear them more. Do you have any tips if your a bigger person how to cord skirts?
I don't have any ideas from personal experience that could help you unfortunately, but one thing did come to mind! I think a skirt with a peignoir over and a ribbon tied around the waist wouldn't completely draw from the areas you mentioned, but the extra poofy tulle on top of the outfit might make it all just tie in better and accentuate your problem areas in a nicer way. Hopefully that helps a little bit and i'm sorry I can't be of more help!
That's ok, I still enjoyed the video and liked the suggestions in it. Also I appreciate the advice about the peignoir. Thank you. :)
I moved from 50's retro to otome/lolita and I'm all white blouses and navy skirts with brown and white accessories 😅
