Hi friends! I did notice some comments that some people feel the shorter petticoat is *too* poofy. If you feel this way the longer petti may actually be right for you! It is less poofy and only 3.5in longer than the short one. The best thing to do is measure your dresses and compare them to the petticoat lengths. It will still fit many sweet dresses :) It also comes in both black and white! We are hoping to offer more poof levels, lengths, and colours in the future. But because we are just starting out we didn't want this too be too overwhelming right off the bat. I appreciate all of the kind comments and the constructive feedback as well. 💖 ** also! If you need a custom size, please send our shop a message. We will absolutely make one for you!!**
I think it's just that the top tier is too poofy and the bottom isn't poofy enough? shouldn't affect the amount of fabric used at least lol. idk for me i really don't like when my petticoat is too wide at the top because it strains the bodice a lil.

Ooooh i agree!! I bought my first lolita dress a couple months ago, cost me $$$, and i have never worn it because I havent found a petticoat and i want to do Lolita justice as i just might be the only one here., id love an adjustable one in plus size so i could wear it with future coords
Someone has been hearing my prayers! I have 1 good petti, 2 crap ones that I layer, and a pair of terrible homemade bloomers that on on their last leg. It's so good to see shops in North America that cater to this need and the fact that you are promoting them is wonderful!
Omg Lor this is so exciting and cool! What a fantastic idea. These petticoats look like they are great quality. I've made many petticoats myself and I want everyone to know that this is a very fair price. I truly appreciate the sizing options, especially for the bloomers. Quality foundational garments are key, and I'm so happy to have a local and ethically made source!
I was actually thinking about buying a new petticoat because I have new dresses that require a longer petticoat. I haven't been able to wear them because of that reason. I'm really glad you have a long pre-order sale going so I can get enough funds to buy one ahhhhh!
As I'm used to historical costuming where if in doubt add one more petticoat I was surprised to hear about petti injuries. I'm guessing it's because lolitas don't wear corsets (or its predecessors) but it would be interesting to hear actual lolitas' thoughts.
I also come from a place of historical costuming, and I tend to just keep adding petticoats until I'm happy with the shape, but then only one of my petticoats has an elastic waist, and I've made them all myself to my own measurements, so I'm not trying to cram myself into something made for a smaller person.
I think it is because lolita petticoat are not like 1950s fluffy kind of petticoat with elastic waistband. Us costumers are used to thin cotton with skinny waistbands and only frill at the bottom haha
that's pretty spot on! In historical fashion, petticoats are layered on stays or corsets which help protect the skin and support the body under the weight of the added petticoats. But often, Lolitas are wearing pettis against bare skin which can cause abrasions on the skin and pain in the waist, back and hips as the weight of the tulle pulls downwards!
I'm still using my same 2 petticoats from Candy Violet haha. They have become pretty flat over the... Jesus, probably almost 10 years now. But yeah, I just hatted the thought of buying new ones! I'm really out of the loop for what brands make good petticoats. So I'm really thankful for this video!
I was in the description, filling my cart before I even finished the video! The fact that I get to support a small Canadian business and ethical and sustainable business practices is HUGE selling point for me. I feel one of the obstacles for me to get into Lolita in the first place has been a lack transparent knowledge on the manufacturing and production of big brand dresses. As such I only own a few pieces, one of which I bought from an American indie designer and the other which I made myself. As I know it’s quite difficult for non sewers to participate in alternative fashion communities in a sustainable manner, options like this are absolutely necessary for this fashion to thrive. :) thank you so much for offering this option!
How wonderful! I am very excited to support this inspiring project. It was so nice to hear from the owner, see the studio, and see the petticoats when worn! That short cupcake petti will be perfect for some of my shorter dresses! I love that this is a North American company and that they accommodate such a wide size range. Thanks so much for sharing this project with us!
very cool to see people in alternative fashion caring about where their stuff comes from and keeping the fashion alive. extra cool that it’s also helping a small business!
I'm so excited! I've been waiting for Lor specifically to make a video on pettis before I forgo my mess of stacked ones and this is so much better than I had hoped for! Like Lor said my biggest issue was how far away any reputable brand is from me but being just outside of Toronto and someone who always prioritizes buying from small/local ethical brands I think it's time for me to finally retire my five pacific mall/party store pettis. I'm sure my waist is excited to no longer be put through so much pain for the sake of my fashion lol
I GASPED seeing you wear the dress with the petticoat for the first time! That shape is incredible and they look like they've been genuinely so well made with lolita in mind.
I really hope this goes well. I don't have this money rn due to covid bills/reduced work. But I know I would invest in this once I had money. I have sewing skills, and was going to be making my own petticoat following stichess design, but with the cost of materials and time (plus sewing with these different materials is beyond my current skill level) this amount is definitely justified.
Thank you so much 💖💖 I totally understand struggling due to covid at the moment. We are hoping these are something we can offer long term! I appreciate your kind words.
YES ❤️ I CANNOT WAIT. When this was coming to fruition... I was thinking that I've managed to be in the fashion for 10 years and still don't have One Good Petticoat. I kept telling myself I would prioritize it someday and make an order from overseas, but I never did because it was a big investment that I was worried wouldn't pay off. So FOR 10 YEARS I've been wearing a square dance petticoat that's super heavy and the completely wrong silhouette, a tutu from a ballet recital costume, a non-adjustable hoop skirt, and a bunch of one-layer crinolines cut from thrifted dresses... in every possible combination and all FULL of safety pins to try to achieve the bell shape. Why do I do this to myself? I also have chronic pain in my abdomen and deal with pretty intense discomfort with this ridiculous set-up 😣 Anyway, I am SO READY to trade it all in for the One Good Petticoat I've been waiting for 😭 I'm really pumped about the lycra waistband so my tender tummy doesn't have to be smooshed anymore, and ESPECIALLY excited about the silk lining - I'm hoping it will keep the poof from ending up in between my legs when I walk! (Cause it deflates the dress, feels yucky and is extremely awkward to fix in public.) This is the beginning of a new era in my lolita life 😍 and I'm so excited to support people I love and ethical lolita fashion 💞 #onegoodpetticoat
This is excellent! Lor it's thanks to you that I have had so many resources while trying to dip into the Lolita waters, but the petticoat has been worrying me and now here you are again with another fantastic resource! I am almost done building my first coordinate and was side-eying the petti I got on Amazon so this will be a great help. To Ghost Girl and Holly: thanks for keeping us plus size girls in mind! Y'all are great.
I’ve been meaning to get a black petti for my darker dresses so the timing is great! I’ve also been looking around for some good bloomers, so I think now might be the right time 🤩
oh my god this is so amazing 2 hear!! while i am not a lolita myself (i love the fashion but i wear more gothic and punk jfashion styles and etc), i have been looking for bloomers that aren't from some random sketchy site or a place miles away that im not confident in the stock images and sizing... im very excited abt this!
Yay I was looking for bloomers I’m just starting in Lolita so it’s nice to know I can get quality ones since I had no idea what brands would be good for them
Ok but not all gothic coordinates require minimum poof some need the cupcake shape...thats not exclusive to sweet lolita Other than that this is really sweet and im really happy to see you guys helping out a company that needs it! The fact you're using your platform to help a company struggling with covid is absolutely amazing
Ok yes need to try these petticoats, I've want another petticoat but havent been able to since I had to move short notice last month... as soon as I can I will buy a petticoat, and help support this dance shop 😊
I clicked the link for the bloomers before actually watching the video, and to see my measurements listed as a large makes me happy for some reason. I'm so used to being plus sized that it threw me in a good way.
This make me so happy! I always prefer buy Local and it's difficult to buy lolita in canada... I was looking for a black petticoat and I'll go with the longer one for sure! Thanks to keep a local business alive
I love this, i hope the next project is a line of cotton based blouses as blouses are the thing i’m having the MOST trouble with. I have fairly wide shoulders, medium bust and an annoying tummy. Its always one of these three areas that screws with the measurements and wont fit T^T
Omagosh I'm in the USA and I havent bought bloomers yet because I'm an American XL/2XL. I see Cream and Sugar sells some plus sized bloomers, I might just buy 1 in each color!! q.q Also, for anyone in the USA:The Black Ribbon sells some very nice petticoats as well!! They're based in San Francisco with a warehouse in Georgia as well. They try to source local labor and fabrics too.
Wow! How awesome that you're filling a need in so many areas with this project! I'd love to see some additional accessibility in future pettis. Personally I'm able but I know many lolitas come from all levels of ability. A request I see often is for a petti that isn't tight around the waist. I think with your current design you could really easily offer a drawstring waistband petti that has adjustable straps similar to suspenders. That way someone with a sensitivity to tight things around their waist could loosen the petti waistband to a comfortable circumference and use the straps to keep it in place! :) You could probably do the same with the bloomers :) This is just my idea. Love your content and love this project!!!
I love this idea! 💖 Our finished pettis are actually going to have a drawstring (our sample garments did not have them, but in our listing we've indicated that the final product does)! But I love the idea of suspenders 🤔 Maybe they could be made in lycra like the waistband and be made as an add on.
@@HalicanDrops Yes to the suspenders Idea! Some buttons on the waistband like on grandpas trousers and straps with a slider so you can chang the lenght, like on a bra. I have a Larp skirt I wear for a week straight every year in the hottest days in summer, and I can verify that sewing on shoulder straps made it so.much.more.comfortable.
I just ordered some bloomers, and I'm super excited. What a cool project to support a local business! Also, ordering a lolita item without having to worry about duty fees for the first time ever WAS SUCH A RUSH LET ME TELL YOU
Oh that's so neat! And the fact it's supporting a small business is so incredibly sweet. I don't even a main piece yet, but I might have to look at the measurement of the dress I'm eyeing online to see what better length of petti I should get
I am SO excited to see this! If at any point you decide to expand to another product, I would *really* love to see an adjustable hoop petticoat that would work for people with plus size waists. There’s the Tulutulu petticoat, but from what I understand, though the waistband in the plus size works for plus sizes, the hoops often don’t for those in larger sizes like mine. But oh, I’m so excited to see this, very cool.
I hope they keep doing more Lolita stuff because it'll be nice to finally have something made in Canada in the Harajuku Style because the more people that want to get in to wearing Lolita they don't have to go overseas to get it thank you for sharing this video
I will buy my next paycheck. Thanks Holly and friends. I eventually want to do rockabilly lolita so there is an idea for another type of petticoat if you care.
Hi, I'm not specifically into lolita myself though I do really appreciate the style and I love seeing folks who are into alternative fashion lifting up local shops and designers who are committed to ethical fashion! I'm from the Vancouver area, and while they're not a lolita shop per se, Venus and Mars in Vancouver is a local alternative fashion shop that carries a lot of pieces that might appeal to folks who are into lolita, particularly classic or gothic lolita (I don't think you'll find a lot of pieces that will work with the sweet lolita cupcake silhouette, unfortunately, but I could be wrong). Venus and Mars leans more towards steampunk, but they make a lot of corsets, skirts, dresses, blouses, waistcoats and coats in house, while also carrying stock from other brands. I know they've carried petticoats in the past but I'm not sure if they had ones that were made by Venus and Mars (the one I bought from them which is a longer petticoat that works well for A-line below the knee dresses and skirts is from another brand). I'm sure that if they got a bunch of requests for them to make petticoats and bloomers in-house they would probably be open to trying it out if they haven't made ones already. I have a pair of shorts from them, made in house, that aren't quite bloomers but provide that additional modesty when wearing tights and they have some cute lace around the edges. And they're pretty inclusive with their sizing as well, I'm often in the lower range of plus sizes and have always found garments larger than my size there. Anyways, thank you for supporting local businesses who are dedicated to ethical clothing production and labour practices!
Honestly I always recommend aurora and ariel, I bought mine from their taobao store directly but there are a bunch of taobao resellers that also sell them. It was I wanna say $30 (counting shipping, $16 without shipping). They feel really nice and well made for the price too
i've been pretty desperate to find some good bloomers (my waist-hip measurement is basically cartoonish, and below that even more so lmao) so i'll be keeping this in mind! it's also good to support local businesses (even tho this is closer to my girlfriend's local business than mine lol)
I feel you on the cartoonish proportions, lol. Most bloomers that fit my waist would be too tight for my hips and the ones that fit my hips will be too loose for my waist. These look pretty promising though and a good alternative to custom sizing.
Ffffff CHRISTMAS CAME EARLY THIS YEAR! I'd LOVE to support a small, local business and snag a new pair of bloomers AND a more lightweight petti than my MeLikesTea one for hotter days. Yesssss, I didn't even know I wanted this! 💖💖💖
Bloomers that fit me? WHAT. I think I'm gonna hold out to see if you make some longer ones because I want them to peak under my lady sloth JSK but YOU HAVE MY ATTENTION. 👀👀👀
I just got my tascam and I love it so much!!! Haha I did some lolita asmr awhile back but I really don’t enjoy editing it. If you want to collaborate on something let me know! I love asmr!!
thank you for this video! I've been recently into lolita fashion and want to make sure where I'm getting my stuff from is ethically sourced. Are there any boutiques in Toronto that sell lolita esque items?
OMG 😍😍😍😍 finally my floofy needs are met!!! also lol i used to layer the leg avenue pettis as well....glad i dont do that anymore. i still have them but im thinking of cannibalizing them into one petticoat for cosplay instead of lolita.
Jokes on you, the main reason I watch lolita content is just for the petticoats. (Joking, but like, petticoats are the best part of an outfit, no joke.)
I bought a really nice petticoat but I struggle to find skirts that can fit a petticoat underneath it for more "normal" looks. Does anyone know a brand of what keywords to look for?
Maybe try alternative brands that have a more retro/vintage aesthetic, like Hell Bunny? They're a UK brand, so do pay attention to measurements in their sizing, but they have some really lovely skirts and dresses that can read more mainstream or more alternative depending on how you style them. If you're in the US, I would definitely check for secondhand pieces on Poshmark or similar sites. And if their styles aren't for you, maybe it can at least help you figure out keywords to use for what you want.

This is such a cool project! I hope it goes well and is beneficial to the small business you work with and lolitas who want a good petti!
So happy that it’s ethically made and everyone Is paid fairly!💓💕
My good petti got lost in my move after college, I'm happy to support a North American company for some FLUFF in my life
:) You could probably do the same with the bloomers :)
This is just my idea. Love your content and love this project!!!
I love this idea! 💖
Our finished pettis are actually going to have a drawstring (our sample garments did not have them, but in our listing we've indicated that the final product does)!
This is such a beautiful, wholesome initiative and I LOVE 💖💖💖
This is a great initiative, I really hope it will be a tremendous success!
THIS IS AWESOME! Best of luck on this venture!
I hope everything goes well as I would def be interested in longer, more a-line petticoats and tea length options.
Definitely noted, our goal is to have more shapes and lengths for our next release! 💖
I just ordered some bloomers, and I'm super excited. What a cool project to support a local business! Also, ordering a lolita item without having to worry about duty fees for the first time ever WAS SUCH A RUSH LET ME TELL YOU
I'm so happy that you made this video. Thank you lor for all your content
I’m so happy, this sounds so sustainable!
Oh that's so neat! And the fact it's supporting a small business is so incredibly sweet. I don't even a main piece yet, but I might have to look at the measurement of the dress I'm eyeing online to see what better length of petti I should get
I’ll need to check that shop out 👀
Lor your coord today is so cute!
I'm loving the pink!💖💖💖
Me new in Lolita: i need a good petticoat
Lor: well...
One of my petticoats is in its last days so this video is pretty timely. I’ll definitely check this company out. Thanks for sharing 😊
Really nice content for lolitas living in north america ^^
their studio/place for sewing is really adorable too.
I gasped when I saw the sizes I’ll fit!! So excited
This is so great! I hope it will continue and maybe they can branch out to some underskirts in the future as well!

Yesssss the rainbow circus print!! My dream dress!
I hope they keep doing more Lolita stuff because it'll be nice to finally have something made in Canada in the Harajuku Style because the more people that want to get in to wearing Lolita they don't have to go overseas to get it thank you for sharing this video
What a beautiful way to help this business ❤❤ Your all so wonderful
They feel really nice and well made for the price too
Can't wait till next paycheck to help support this sewing house
This is super cool, such a nice initiative! Already ordered mine :D !
hopefully you guys can make less poofy ones, and smooth them out as well. they look lumpy! good luck
i've been pretty desperate to find some good bloomers (my waist-hip measurement is basically cartoonish, and below that even more so lmao) so i'll be keeping this in mind! it's also good to support local businesses (even tho this is closer to my girlfriend's local business than mine lol)
I feel you on the cartoonish proportions, lol. Most bloomers that fit my waist would be too tight for my hips and the ones that fit my hips will be too loose for my waist. These look pretty promising though and a good alternative to custom sizing.
I love your videos, they are very interesting and well made! Even though I don't wear Lolita, it's still so good to learn about it. Go get that bread!
Congratulations on the new business venture~! Blessings for all you, and may your efforts see abundance ^o^
Ffffff CHRISTMAS CAME EARLY THIS YEAR! I'd LOVE to support a small, local business and snag a new pair of bloomers AND a more lightweight petti than my MeLikesTea one for hotter days. Yesssss, I didn't even know I wanted this! 💖💖💖
I absolutely love that you are doing this! I have been getting by on a short non-lolita petticoat so I will definitely go pre-order one right now 😁
Congratulations 👏 good luck with your launch! I love your videos so much ♡ amazing sweet adorable canadian content ♡
Bloomers that fit me? WHAT. I think I'm gonna hold out to see if you make some longer ones because I want them to peak under my lady sloth JSK but YOU HAVE MY ATTENTION. 👀👀👀
Just as I was literally thinking I need a new petticoat! I'll have to check them out!
Girl why do I get wish ads everytime I watch you 😂
Looks they are all sold out! Any idea when and if they will restock??
I love that they’re using a tascam hhhh I use that for my asmr. I can smell... Lolita asmr RIGHT NOW
Rustling Petticoats of Different Fabric Types ASMR 1 Hour
I just got my tascam and I love it so much!!! Haha I did some lolita asmr awhile back but I really don’t enjoy editing it. If you want to collaborate on something let me know! I love asmr!!
@@LovelyLor I left you a message on Instagram, I’m darkred.sweetplaid 💕 TH-cam was being weird 😅
Oh i love this, when my paycheck comes in i am gonna buy one ❤
ooooooooooooooooooh your lashes! I love them! You are a true inspiration :3
I was actually thinking about buying bloomers ! I think I'll get one of these !
i wish i could work in a place like that ;; i feel like sewing is a lost art or maybe they just do so much outsourcing now
Out sourcing really has made it hard to be a seamstress it’s really sad
And then when sewing is outsourced, the seamstresses aren't treated ethically ;; It's really sad.
thank you for this video!
Awesome idea! I don't dress lolita but I'm still rooting for the business! All the best to you all
Thank you guys so much!! So glad I have until the end of the month to order. Just spent all my money on Honey Cake 😭 worth it
This is so cool! I can't wait to see where this goes 💖
Jokes on you, the main reason I watch lolita content is just for the petticoats.
(Joking, but like, petticoats are the best part of an outfit, no joke.)
I would suggest getting a A line petti as well. There are a few dresses that aren't designed for a cupcake petti.
Are you reading my mind!? I've been looking for a good petticoat for months
I'm tall af too (6'2)
Yaaaay!
YES
Wow this actually.migjt be accessible to me in New Zealand are you going to be shipping internationally?
Yes they are!
I bet its like so hard switching into different outfits to test these out so props to you Lor
lol
I'm totally going to order a petticoat and bloomers next month!
I absolutely love this idea but I wish the structure layer wasn't tulle :(
I've been sewing for about a year and a half and coincidentally I'm working on my first petticoat this week lol mine is just two layers though.
I guess the bottom there is technically four layers cuz I'm caging in some hand dyed rainbow tule
I literally needed a new petti! v v v exciting! :)
Yea I need the petty coats for cosplay and bloomer to lol
I tried to get to the shop today and none of the links are working. :( I hope this doesn't mean that the experiment was a failure!
This is just AWESOME
