I used to stay at a BnB in Greenford. It was £15 per night with Brekkie evening meal and taxi service to airport. You could sit in back garden with the bar and watch planes every 30 secs or lined up on their way in to Heathrow.

A fantastic aircraft to fly on.
That hotel is a planespotter's paradise! It reminds me of the days when you could go on the roof of the car park at Heathrow to watch the planes and listen to them talking to the control tower on one of those air band radios.
You could be stealing Jerry Dyer’s thunder with this ✈️
The ‘wood’ was cassia bark, closely related to cinnamon but less sweet and quite pungent-I don’t mind finding that in my curry/rice, or cloves/cardamoms as I love spices and they give an intense hit which improves the flavours, but each to their own as always😋

I stayed at the Renaissance Heathrow last month. I had a runway view (just £15 extra), which was amazing. But, best of all, the fish and chips were unexpectedly superb (if a little pricey). The room was great, too.

🤣🤣 the little wooden bit is a cinnamon stick they use in curries lee i use them with cardomens & cloves in my curries and struggle to find them to take them out before serving it 🤣 that hotel room looks fab i love watching planes take off & land so that for me is a must 👏🏻👏🏻 thanks for that fab vlog !!

We was in that same hotel last september lee spent a week there doing abit of plane spotting (i am abit of an aviation geek) the skybar is great enjoyed it up there sadly i lost my dad the day after we came home but he did enjoy seeing plenty of planes. As for the curry id say a 5 👍

This looks like a dream hotel for me.
Fantastic hotel check, Lee. You know when I saw the headline I immediately thought you would be staying at the Renaissance (which is the hotel aviation fans always cover) but the Courtyard is not only nicer, with views almost as good, but it's a more modern property (Renaissance dates back to the hotel building boom of the 1970s).
We stayed at Rydges hotel, Sydney airport before or return to the uk back in March. We had fantastic views of the airfield and one of the main runways.
Lovely hotel. Bit of quality with that view. As I've said many times on your USA vlogs, hoping to see more of you and the Silver fox. These are the best👌

I just had 3 nights in a double suite sea view room hotel in bispham Blackpool for £111 and an Indian meal in a nice restaurant 3 courses £18 pint of lager £3.30 no service charge! sod down south prices you can keep them

Cinnamon bark, cardamom pods and cloves. Authentic, trust me. I’d be suspicious if they didn’t have them spices. Looked lovely to me. Next time you see DJ, You must go to the Ragistan .😎
Hi Lee, Brave man. I always say before a flight no curry just in case. Stick to a burger and fries or something that can fill the stomach. The Hotel and facilities looked fantastic and yes i love watching planes. If your back in Lanzarote pop down to Playa Honda and have a walk by the fence of the Airport. The beach there is A1.

I stayed in a Lisbon hotel some years ago, and planes coming in to land, just outside the town, drew tiles from a roof on the other side of the road.

Should have gone to the premier inn like you said, both Bath Road and T4 get good views of the runway. Although the roof top bar looked nice its hard to beat the premier inns meal deal for value 😀

Nice Hotel, you get what you pay for. I recently stayed a night in Courtyard Marriott at Sydney Harbour, pre cruise. AU$300, so much the same as your 150 quid. Nice room and views. Like that sort of thing. Food ordinary and pricey as was drink. 9 for hotel and 6 for food.
Yup Jerry Dyer off Big Jet TV has recommended this place numerous times he also streams from the roof of this fine establishment

Looked a pretty good hotel but that curry for £30 seemed a bit excessive, looks very similar to the what the supermarkets sell for a fraction of the price and generally no bits of added wood, I have found that all the Premier Inns at Heathrow are good .

Lee one day you need to fly from Manchester and go to the Robinsons Airport pub. That's literally right next to the runway
They have proper pub grub inside but a little bar outside serving things like hotdog/burgers.
It's about 3 times closer than that
Ey up me duck ! We stayed at the Thistle Hotel a couple of days ago at Terminal 5, before flying out to Dubai. My Mcmasters baseball cap is keeping the 40c heat off my head!
Having the cinnamon stick adds flavor for me a 7
And there's me been staying above a Wetherspoons in Chesterfield lol 😅.. I loved it at Buxton today.. peak District and Derbyshire is a lovely place.. your curry 9, your hotel looks swanky 😊

I used to work for a firm that serviced travel company offices, and they had an office in Longford, next to the runway at Heathrow. We used to go up on the roof for morning brews at 1030 ish, and watch Concorde take off for New york!!! Now, that thing was FAST!!!! The 747s would lumber into the sky, but she leaped up and was out of sight in less than a minute!!! Shambles that she was cancelled.
Concorde was the ultimate a very sad day that they were withdrawn from service
