War chief Osceola, Whose spirit cries out over the destruction of the Land! "Seminole Wind"... Congratulations Mr.Anderson. Country Music hall of fame! 2024-🎶🎼🎵..🌄..🕊️...
@@jerryturner3997 it's so Beautiful, I live in the land of the Seminole, Lake Thonotassa and God have Mercy on MAN Progress came and 😭😭😭 Mansions built all around the lake.
I'm 56yrs old and from Tidewater Va, but I lived in Seminole County Florida for about 5yrs not long after this song was released!! Kinda has special meaning to me, I met the Mother of my children in Sanford FL!! Unfortunately we didn't last, but I got 2 wonderful kids out of the deal !! Alot of country now doesn't even have a fiddle or a steel guitar, 2 of the instruments that made Country music back in the day!! Excellent song and a great Country artist!!!
Was down south for my grandma's funeral this past June. Spent my free time driving around with my mom. This song came on the radio. I'd heard it a thousand times growing up. We both cried thinking about the good times. Beautiful song
1993. Possibly the single best year of my life. 20 years old in the Military and honky tonking all over the East coast. Many dancehall nights. Many dance hall girls..
A true living legend! This song takes me back to those days of my youth when my dad and I would explore the Everglades. So beautiful and haunting at the same time. Thanks for posting such great songs, that move the soul!
I have never been to the Everglades. My native American ancestors were Shawnee in Kentucky and the similar things were done there the land was destroyed, all in the name of greed and progress.
You probably dont care but does anyone know a tool to get back into an Instagram account..? I somehow forgot my password. I would appreciate any tricks you can give me.
I was living in Savannah Georgia when this song came out,I was lucky enough to see this tour by John,he is fantastic in concert so glad I decided to go and see him !! We were doing a job in Florida and coming back from the job this song was on the Radio as I left Florida for the last time !!
I too play this song on loop, love it. The mucisianship of this song is wonderful. The sorrowful fiddle sets the mood then the drum beat rises and from there a story is told. All elements of the steel guitar, banjo (or ukelele), guitars, bass, etc make this one of my favorite songs ever. My favorite version is a little newer than this one and just has terrific banjo. Thank you John Anderson & Company, love your playing!!
I spent 5 years at NSGA Homestead and spent good part of my off time fishing the canals around Homestead and down in the Glades. This song always takes me back to those good times with a cold beer and listening to frogs croaking and gators grunting.
I spent a decade, trying to learn to play the fiddle and piano well enough to enjoy music of this time and form. Never got there, but still enjoy it done right. Very nice, takes me back to my teens. Thanks!
I went to a concert of John's at a huge Honkytonk in Modesto Ca. in about 1981! The place was so big, they had live bull riding insde the place! It had 3 dance floors and multiple bars. Yeehaaaaaw!
No matter live or album, John and his band always sound so clean and beautiful with real talent and real instrument's compared to stuff you hear these days
I was at his studio the night he rehearsed it before he sang it first time ever on the Ralph Emery morning show. Was awesome a great down to earth guy his whole family is
I wish that true Country Music would come back
Not gunna happen.
Everything has turned to boring pop or poop same difference
Yah you said it buddy
YES, NOT THE CURRENT CRAP
Not with the bleks running the music industry

I was able to bring up black and white photos of the lake, the trembling in his voice shows his deep compassion

One of the best and most unique voices to ever come out of country music, and he still sounds good to this day
My sentiments exactly !!!

I never cared for country music, but John Anderson is definitely an exception. And this is one of my favorite songs of all time.

Clint black, George strait, Travis Tritt, and John Michael Montgomery have all cited JA as an inspiration and an artist they all respect.
One of the most hauntingly beautiful songs of all time.
👍👍👍👍👍
that man with the violin is the musical star of this band
Joe Spivey! Plays it well!
That would be a fiddle, not a violin!
@@RickHaile What's the difference between a violin and a fiddle? About $5000.
I just play it on a loop from time to time. GOOD STUFF, right there.
Pl
A Florida anthem
Definitely one of those songs you can play 20 times in a row
I just checked. Yep. This still bumps almost 30 years later.
One of the best country songs ever written.
I have this original CD and play it so much. Love this mans voice and his style of music. So underrated!

What a voice, what a song, and perfect song delivery by a professional.
Being natively born in Florida the song means a lot to me. Makes me think about Hurricane Andrew

What a beautiful song. Even years later
If you were to introduce Mozart to modern country music, you couldn't do much better than this.
Saw him live many times when I lived in FL.

Yes what they said
They dug for silver and gold….they’d leave the empty holes. Listen to it over and over and you will see
Right up there with John Prine's Paradise

When you went to work!
What year was this recorded? Early 1990’s I’m guessing.
1992
Thank you a friend of mine said that’s when country was real country music
80s and 90s produced some of the best country music ever
They are literally telling you what happened in Florida
