- we took a ride down south to visit the Slow riding traveling course by Robert Simmons Paying It Forward. The guys met up to ride and meet Robert at his course. On the way I compared my Sony XAV 7000 Stereo installed on my 2020 Electra Glide with the new Rockford Fosgate that's installed on Gray Ghost my 2022 Low Rider ST.

Visit the Volunteer Audio or NVS Audio TH-cam pages, they'll get you squared away on your audio. NVS is right in NJ and Carlos seems like a stand up guy. Both Jay at Volunteer and Carlos put out good content and helpful videos.

Great content on this video. I get zero buffeting on my 2020 Street Glide. Dont even put my helmet visor down until I reach 60 MPH. Im 5' 8" an installed 8.5 inch windshield and Harley Fork Wind Deflectors and its perfect. Love my 2021 Heritage but the Harley touring frame on the baggers the ride for me is so much better than the softails. Weird to me that you still have buffeting on Blackbird. Thanks for sharing and I really enjoy your channel.

It's your pipes Sandy. And what kind of set up did you have when you installed the Sony, Amp, tweeters, etc? I don't listen to my stereo on my bike, navigation is what I use for mine. Loved the duck walking, did you do the push ups?, lol. Cheers man 😎😎😎
Hi Sandy, What speakers are you running on Blackbird? Also do you have an amp in this system? That could possibly be why the audio isn't as loud or as crisp as on Grey Ghost? Could be a combo of things I think?
No amplifier- I was just comparing- out of the box installs…
I'm with Michael Roberts I have a electra glide standard too as you know. I got the kit from Jay @ volunteer audio. Sound stream reserve with hertz speaker. The sou d it amazing all my buddies with street glides say 100 times better then harley radio. Did you ever hook up lower speakers?
No, not hooked up . I didn’t invest much time and effort into my sound system. Definitely- an amplifier is needed!
Did you ever publish the Dyno numbers on the stage 2 on Blackbird?
Didn’t take it to be Dyno tuned yet
Same amp ,same wattage, same speakers , same speaker size?
Oddly that sony with the proper set- up is highly rated.
Bad thing is ..its not water resistant i believe.
I’m sure an amplifier will do great for the sound !
Your pipes are louder and Harley audio system sucks . Put a RockFord Fosgate on black bird . The standard Harley system can’t compare.
