Beyond good basic skin care (sunscreen, moisturizer, Retinol) My Grandmother always told me BEAUTY COMES FROM WITHIN. Spend more money on excellent food (wild-caught salmon, fresh veggies, organic coffee and tea) and stop buying every new junk in a tube they advertise.

Yes I agreed. I changed my life style since 2012 when I had stroke and paralysed. Recovered being half vegetarian person take more fish, fruit and veggies. Since then I really improved myself at 54 years old my skin getting better, smooth, shine and become fair. Good exercise walking everyday at least 6km to improve mussel and bone, practise my yoga 🧘‍♀️, good sleep, good bowel. Avoid all process food and drink. I did my own fruit juice took from the fruit like carrot, pineapple, ginger, citrus fruit like orange, lime, grapefruit and sometimes using veggies like kale, broccoli and spinach, all green veggies. When you took a lot of antioxidants food that is where things be good for your skin because a lot of collagen in the food. Make sure don’t ever use sugar or salt in juice. Because that ingredient will make you get old faster, no fast food, no spicy food or the fried one.Drink a lot of green tea to detox your body, plain water with empty stomach early in the morning b4 start your exercise. You can have your cheat day of eating in ones a week if you feel to eat the fried one or sweet things.. eat moderate not too much. Most important thing change life style then you get better especially when aging you get better skin. No need Botox or skin care or surgery. I’m using just normal product from Korea basic one the moisturiser, cleanser, sun block and cream. Till now frien always ask me how do I keep my skin good coz no wrinkles at ur eye or face..good food and good exercise avoid stress also with always in mind positive thoughts.

Tip: let your hair air dry. Don't dry with a dryer.
I wash my hair sometimes every 4-7 days and never use a dryer. I'm 65 now and I still have a mane of hair.
As well, I take Biotin, silica gel and clear gelatin. It takes 28 days to get into your body fully and after that it's accumulative. You will be amazed in four months how fantastic to look. It's hair, skin, nails!

Hello, doctor! I am a cosmetologyst and nurse to be. Why is it that no one is talking about facial exercises, done correctly and the facial massage or the fact that our posture can also affect the loss of face skin firmness and can lead to sagging? There is also this new idea that collagen loss is also due to fibrosis of the tissues. Also fibrosis can occur from acne, but also from too many injections. How can we reverse it? I have heard there is a special massage. Thank you for all the info you are giving here, It is highly appreciated.

Important to reduce sugar to prevent glycation. The best analogy illustrating glycation is that the skin is essentially becoming pickled by sugar. Apparently arthritis and heart disease can be increased by sugar-promoted inflammation. The substances are called ‘AGE’s. (Advanced glycation end products.)

VERY Interesting. First thing I did was buy a bunch of wash clothes to strictly use and replace daily for my face! But here's my question. I have never used any of the "RET"-oids/ols before. Quite frankly - I don't know what's what in the "RET" class. I'm 36 years old and used to have great skin (post Accutane use at 25) - no acne since using Accutane. But recently thanks to Mask-Acne - I started using Super-C Retinol Brighten & Correct Vitamin C Serum daily at NIGHT only because people swear it helps with the acne/acne scars (which went BOOM 2 months after mask use). Is this the type of Retinol you mention we should stay away from?

My cousin is 5 years younger than me, she spends a ton of money on expensive face creams and foundation but doesn't wash her face at night. It make no difference what I tell her about throwing away her money down the drain by putting cream onto a dirty face and how it won't penetrate. She doesn't wear a SPF to protect her skin from the sun and because she is in the car for a long time each day her skin has tiny wrinkles all over. I told her to get a UV screen filter added to the windscreen and wear SPF 50+. My mother always told me, stay out of the sun, wash your face before you go to bed and do not go to bed wearing makeup, always take it off. It's more important to wash your face at the end of the day rather than first thing in the morning when you can get away to warm water and a clean face flannel. Last but not least change your bed sheets once a week and everyone should have their own towel and face flannel. I have wrinkles around my eyes and a few on the top lip but none scattered across the surface of my face. My mother doesn't have any wrinkles just some sagging then again she is 81. I discovered microcurrent and galvanic current which are fantastic especially the galvanic current which help to tone down the darkening around the eyes. Bentonite clay masks suck out any grime from makeup and pollution every 2 weeks and I don't exfoliate except for dermaplaning every 6 to 8 weeks.

Hi Dr. I've spent a great deal of my life interested in preventing aging and have worked for many innovative skin care lines. I have enjoyed your videos but I only disagree with one thing on your list. It's the towel. Towels are washed in detergent and have a lot of it still remaining in the material and some towels are bleached. I don't agree that a towel should touch your face at all and depositing particles of detergent and bleach there. Instead I think it's advisable to use a tissue that is not crumpled but smooth to pat your face then is disposed.

I like his channel. Great info. There is nothing wrong with water. It is a little experimentation for each individual, one does not want to strip the barrier of the skin but does want absorption of the active skin care. Absorption is the issue we are all working on. Oily skin may need more than water. Ph neutral basic cleansers are what I give to my patients.

Love you, Dr. R! Fairly new subscriber but have been binge watching previous this past week. I personally won’t do fillers. I do Botox but can’t get longevity-tried them all, Dysport, Xeomin, etc. I’m on a regime of alternating the PRP facial with Dermaplaning & Hydrafacial. I’m in total agreement it starts on the inside. Luckily I’ve never smoked, I don’t drink and I drink 10 glasses of water every day. I take a multi-vitamin, my K-2/D3 (sounds like a Star Wars robot lol) and my Cod Liver Oil. I drink a green smoothie at least a couple of times a week. My favorite breakfast is plain Greek yogurt with chia seeds sprinkled on top and a cup of steel cut oatmeal. Never liked red meat so will eat chicken and fish. My best secrets are regular salon visits for beautiful hair and # 1, self confidence! Good, restful sleep and a cheerful outlook on life does wonders. Happy 2022!!!! 🌹🎉

Ever since i started to clean my face every morning and night, my face started to get dryer and i started to get these dry lines around my mouth when i smile. So recently i watched a video about an old woman who didn't have a lot of wrinkles and she told her secret. She said:" i don't wash my face in the morning, only in the night, because if you wash it too much you will wash away your natural oils from your face" I think she's right, because when i was younger ( 17, 18, 19) i didn't really pay attention to skincare routine and my face always looked healthy. I started my skincare routine when i was 20 and i'm now 22 and all i got out of it was smile lines and a dry face. ( i use serums from the ordinary, moisturizer from embryolisse, sunscreen from paula's choise and a cleansing oil to wash my face) So i think i will skip washing my face in the morning and see if i get good results.

Always wear sunglasses outside, even if there isn't any sun. Because even bright or overcast daylight can make you squint. I like to wear "fit overs". That go over reading glasses because they block light from above and the sides. and you don't need to wear rx glasses to wear them. You can wear them alone. got some cool ones from Prive on QVC. I also sleep on my back. You can buy cervical neck pillows that will support your neck from the sides to train yourself. And i have a nightlight in my bathroom so I don't need to turn on the light in the middle of the night when I have to use the restroom. Again, avoiding squinting. When I get up in the morning, my lights are on a low dim, to avoid squinting. For women, apply your mascara with your head tilted down. If you apply it facing forward, there is more of a tendency to furrow your forehead. These are tips to minimize wrinkles that are caused by cumulative unnecessary crinkling of your face. Also, i am a big believer in keeping the skin around your eyes very moisturized. I happen to use retin-a around my eyes, but I top it off with a viscous eye cream that locks in moisture and won't evaporate. I wear it at night only. I don't necessarily believe in the anti aging hype of eye creams, I use it purely for the occlusive formula that locks in moisture. I like Philosophy Firming Eye and Lip cream. You could also use Vaseline if it doesn't break you out.

I happen to be a skin care professional and I thoroughly enjoy your videos! Exfoliating without nourishing and really feeding the skin well (and I don't mean moisturizers!) is key. Plus you've got to know what exfoliation is best based on how the skin is presenting at the time. I can use a 70% glycolic on my skin for 17 mins and be just fine. Having said that, when i let my guard down and don't do what I need to maintain the homeostasis going, I have given myself skin uglies. Whether from peels or treatments or even quite safe LED red light, particularly if you are pro, it can just get too tempting to look in the mirror and fool yourself into thinking another treatment will do the trick. It takes a lot of discipline -- there are a great deal of very strange looking people in our industry as a result of 'too much'.

I do Micro needling myself once a week. It is awesome! Wondering if I should use a Retinol? Also I have oily combination should I add AHA’s or just Glycolic I have Glycolic 8% toner also Glycolic 10% moisturizer, and should I use a BHA or and Niamincide?
