I'll never forget the launch of the 3000 series cards. It was enough to traumatize any man. Microcenter would receive only 5-10 cards at a time, with lines waiting overnight at the door. It was absolute insanity. Ever since then, I've just accepted that none of us that have even the smallest semblance of a life would ever be able to obtain a new GPU on release. Once these are gone on release day, don't hold your breath on new inventory arriving soon. My advice, expect to get a new 5000 GPU sometime late summer.

Microcenter doesn’t do presale or online sales for launch of new GPUs. You have to actually go to the store. And most stores will limit the number of cards per customer to avoid scalpers and resellers getting them.

Im kinda lucky. I have a couple stores around me within like a 45 min drive. That was the only way i was able to get the 9800x3d. Ill be there launch day just dont know what time would be good for me to show up.

I have one 15min from me that i have camped at for GPU’s and Consoles over the years. These days I’m not to keen on it because its always in the coldest part of winter where i live. More than likely yes but forget any specific model/brand you want. It’s a take whatever you can get scenario.

5090 cyberpunk2077 4k full raytracing no dlss 27fps, 4090 21 fps. 5090 got much more + newer gen RT cores which makes it lose less fps in raytracing scenarios. That means 5090 is less than 28.5% faster than 4090 without raytracing and dlss. $1599 vs $1999. Very, very sad.

How is it possible that the 5070 is as powerful as a 4090, is that including AI and DLSS? Will that be available on older games like Rdr2 or RE4R? I don't think it will so it will be sort of misleading.
5070 will be just a bit stronger than the 4070. All those graphs rely on RT and frame gen to beef up the numbers and the lag and vaseline screen from that will be unplayable on a 70s class card

Blackwell is quickly becoming a meme launch. Crazy is the 2080 ti with dedicated Tensor cores vs 1080ti had a higher delta gain. Hey at least we can rely on smoke and mirrors to make up for the marketing and hype shortfalls. :kookoo:

They'll receive probably 5 of them on launch day and you'll have to camp outside all night.

The 4090 is not the same performance as the 5070. It's based on "fake frames" aka dlss performance vs native performance.
