made one this morning from your video instructions. i went ahead and ripped down a picket to put a face edge on the shelves to fill in the gap on the last 1/4" strip. Thanks for the idea. It turned out nice

Your video is way too long you give great dimensions but you are going over everything 2 and 3 times

About 1/4" thick... If you rip a 5/8" Fence Picket in half I find that to bend pretty good...
The kerf of the table saw blade would leave you (2) 1/4 strips.....
