I’ve owned a Mamiya RZ 67, 67 Pro, and 67 Pro2 for years and that’s the reason I picked this video. I didn’t learn a thing while watching this video but I could watch this guy for hours! Great personality and funny as heck! Please keep making videos.
When you fire the shutter people come out of their homes. Too true. I went walking with mine and people called the cops on me because it looked suspicious. The cops just had a laugh though after interrogating me.
Had my RZ for a couple of years now and forever been dangling the darkslide off my pinky or in my back pocket when I’m shooting... Gosh!! I can’t thank you enough for showing me it slots in the back. 🙃🙃
The 1/400 max shutter speed is actually due to the leaf shutter in the lens. The fastest leaf shutter that they could produce back in the days was 1/400. I'm sure they would have loved to build faster shutter speeds haha
"fastest leaf shutter - back in the days was 1/400" - Well, you might want to Google 'Minolta V2' - Out in 1958, its highest leaf shutter speed is 2,000th - CHECKMATE ! I own 4 of them...
You prolly dont give a damn but does any of you know a method to log back into an instagram account..? I somehow lost my account password. I would appreciate any help you can offer me!
I love my RZ67 Pro ii. First the 3D look through the waist level finder, amazing! Second, looking at the slides on my light table, again so 3D looking. I almost hate digitizing my images because the go 2D once scanned.
Video @ 8:03 "takes us to the film back" - Well, among many other reasons to hate this camera, if you're not a fan of spending hours re-FOAMING camera light traps, you'll HATE the project you'll enter into when you need to tackle the 'endless' number of odd shaped foam bits/traps, in just the back. - A Hasselblad back only has 3 easy to replace ones...
Probably mentioned somewhere in the comments, but here it goes too - The ISO wheel is just a reminder unless you have the prism finder with a built-in light meter, in which case it will use the ISO to work it's black magic.
I do say half of that. BUT unless you have used or know of a different prism finder, the one that I use doesn’t have black magic... I wish it did. That would be awesome. I could see them putting more than one out.
@@BadFlashes It is kind of a strange half-dumb ISO system. RZ smart if you give part that make it more smarter. AE Prism Finder and AE Prism Finder II have the magic skills you are looking for, including exposure comp. I would wager they are at least slightly heavier though...
lol heavier than the one I used already!? That’s some crazy sauce right there. That camera is already the weight of an American Bully in its prime. Haha But that would be cool
Late to the party again, well typing to myself is nothing new so here goes. Making the RZ (or RB as that's what I have) useable as a walk around camera requires a left hand grip, a strap and a heavy duty monopod. You can use the monopod as a crutch if you drop something on your toe. The monopod also makes the prism finder useable although you still would have to carry it. Another thing is if you'd like an affordable XPan get some 135 to 120 adapters and a 220 back (220 didn't have backing paper as you'll recall so works better than a 120 back, also they're cheaper) for 24x68mm exposures. You can also leave in the sprocket holes if you like. Add a 50mm lens and you're gold. Good stuff. mike
@@BadFlashes Haha, I could hardly believe it, but I guess having mutual friends goes a long way. That, or maybe he was impersonating the original owner ...
@@BadFlashes hahah I guess I just have to use it more after I get the bounce system on my 67 fixed, the camera is still pretty likable for how its handled. But what the rz can do tho, multiple exposures, rotating back, bellow & critical focus, that just sounds so sweet lol
Your EOS 1n has been on the phone to me all night. It thought it was 'your baby', 'your love'. And you just ran off with the first floozy that came along with a bigger format. And I'm left to pick up the pieces.
The ISO dial is actually linked to the prism for metering and auto exposure.
Ahhhhh

@@y2ktube well didn't know that, but also that's 35mm right? Might be easier with smaller format/lenses?
This weeks Jaleb and Cason videos are some of the sexiest yet. Also, petition for you two guys to make a channel called Jaleb/Cason
😭😊 thanks! ALSO... I'll talk to our agents 😉

A RZ67 review from a fellow Pentax 67 user - that may be why this was the most useful camera walkthrough I’ve seen for this camera! 🙌🙏🙏
Awwwwww thanks!!! I appreciate that! I’m so glad it was 😭🥰😆

As someone about to upgrade from an RB67 to an RZ67... not too worried about the weight. Great review ❤
Oh hells yeah!!!!! That’s dope
I really love that yellow bag.
Thanks 😊 it’s my fav
@@BadFlashes I was drooling when Jason posted that video last month. Hasn't been off my mind since.
I got 3 of these with lenses for $350 last year from a retired photographer. They're awesome. It's my only claim to fame.
Are you sure you didn’t still them???? Cuz that’s cra cra 😋
@@BadFlashes Haha, I could hardly believe it, but I guess having mutual friends goes a long way. That, or maybe he was impersonating the original owner ...
Well I would definitely keep that friend haha 😆
Great video!! But what's the intro song called bcuz its fire too
Oh thanks!!!!!
Ummm it’s an epidemic sound song... name is escaping me 😬
Ooooh, yes. I've been waiting for this.
Hope you enjoyed it!
Bad Flashes Hell yes! Thank you!
I've never thought of making love to a camera more than I do now 😂😂😂. Noice editing dude! Hahahhahhah
That’s my problem... always wanting to make love too cameras... 🤣
And thanks 🙏🏼
Dude that les paul background vibe hit the spot for this camera.
Hahah I got something for everyone 🙌🏼🎉🤩🥳
awesome, now I regret getting the Pentax 67 lol
now gonn be a sucker for rz67
Well I do talk very highly of my Pentax 67 in this video, do don’t feel too bad. At the end of the day that’s the one I come home too.

Oh my EOS 1n is just trying to reach for attention. She knows my first love is medium format and will always be. She knew that going in... lol
Damn idk if your videography work was was sexier in this or that shoot you did with Jason for the 8x10 vid 😳 Keep killing it dude 👌🏼
Aw thanks! I appreciate it greatly 😊
At last, finally an RZ review on TH-cam 😆 in the meantime I am going to test this weekend my new 55mm lens on my Pentax 6x7 😉
I love my 55mm on my Pentax... Favorite lens! 😻
Bad Flashes also have to test an adapted SL66 80mm 2.8 on it
Oh wow that’s fun! Can’t wait to hear about that!
This camera sounds fucking EXHAUSTING
Can be, but it’s worth it sometimes for sure.
I always use it with a monopod. It's lighter this way. And when I collapse the monopod, it looks like Mjolnir and I feel worthy.
Hahaha that’s sick!
Love this! Very educational
Thanks!!!!!
😍
why jason can't show your photos when you both collaborate ?
how do you meter if you want to shoot at 1/400?
Some meters can do 1/400 but if not... set it close and go from there. 🥳
That multiple exposure mode could be an endless loop into a black hole.
Don't I know it! :)
But will it make me look pro? 😂 Great Video dude! ✌🏻
Pro is within my friend. All you must do is search! I believe in you! 🥰
Bad Flashes Fully agreed! BTW:
Are you planing to come to Germany anytime soon?
@@Bastijanssen1 Do they allow Americans in? hahaha Probably not till this whole covid thing ends
Bad Flashes Yeah i think so, if you ever visit give me a heads up! 🤘🏻
Deal! 🙌🏼
After hearing your love for the Pentax 67 I thought you'd have a review on it. but no.
There are some thing too hard to express. 🥰 ... I plan on doing one when I get it back haha
"Do yetties sweat?" -sweaties.
Yes? Yes.... probably
Wow. Are all MF film cameras so complicated to operate?
Nope. I have plenty others that are easy
love you too bud
The first one to say it back 😻
so extra
I hope so! 🥰
