I have that recoil 1200. Its a beast however you can only bump maybe 4 songs before it gets hot and turns off then comes back on after a few sec. Sucks. And thats at 2 ohms. 14.4 volts majority of the time and it still gets hot.
You should review the new Recoil Dii3300.1D I've got one. I got it from Robotunderground. Easily is making more power than the Skar RP2000.1D it replaced on the same power supply. (48AH Red Headway Lithium)
This might be the first amp I've seen where even the "max power" rating is almost legit. It seems to have about 2db of dynamic headroom, which is quite a bit for modern amps.
Wow! I’m blown away. Only one more test to pass in my book and that’s the test of time. Reliability means everything to me in purchasing anything. If it can’t pass that test it’s useless to me.
Now THIS is why I watch this channel... to find those little nuggets of amplifier gold that I would have overlooked had I not seen the test results myself
Update. After having this amp awhile, it is a good amp. The bass knob is garbage though and hard to source a better replacement. The 4 Gauge wire terminals are on the small side, and had to drill out them out to accept wire ferrules. I am running 2 ohms, powering 2 10s, and it barely get's hot.

Been bumping the hell out of 4 10" Incriminator audio subs wired to 1ohm in a giant ported box for about a month now and i have to say i am thoroughly impressed with the performance of this amplifier, real talk if youre new to the audio game and if you have the spare cash just pick it up and you will be very happy 😊
Wow!!!! After watching your video I purchased this amp on amazon. The price was still $89.00. This amp will be installed in my nephews car along with a skar 12” sub. My gift to him this next Christmas. Comparing to skar 1200.1 at $157.00 it was a no brainer yet we will be using a different aftermarket bass knob.

I can skip that , since trying to convey how an amp " sounds " is very subjective , and , the actual sound is related through a whole chain of lossy compression / decompression steps and then arrives at your device which likely has an ok at best speaker built in . But it is fun to watch the speakers flex IMO .

Have to admit I’m a skeptic not in everything in general but with new brands. Angled inputs are different. The height had me thinking the caps can’t be all crazy. This amp being rated correctly is awesome. Love the ocean sounds too cause meditation is cool!! Always good to see these new brands trying to make a name for themselves even though my healthy skepticism keeps me grounded.😅

I just recently found one of these rare gems on ebay so I snatched it up and it hits just as hard as I remember.

That’s why I rock a diy 50,000 W class A amp to power my stock jbl car speakers! Got my multi alternator 14,000 amp set up and I’m good to go, even in the winter it’s hard to keep the car cool enough. Had to install a 300 ton AC unit. Car only gets half a mile per gallon, but, gotta make your sacrifices. 🤷♀️

I have a Skar 2x12" enclosure under the rear seat of my 2007 Ram 1500 4 door loaded with Skar VD-12 D4's (wired at 1 ohm), and they just sound muddy and messy. I'm currently running them on a junk amp I had sitting in my parts box, but I just ordered this amp. Got any tips for us pleb's in the audio world to tighten and clean up the bass?

I feel like this amp came out of the same chinese factory as the damore e series amps. It has a very similar layout and the same power input connections/crossover/fuse locations. damore himself said the e series amps are built in china when someone mentioned they look identical to the hifonics alpha amps. it's a shame because damore advertises the e series amps as their own when they were out sourced to china.
@@appaco549 The E-Series features his clean D audio circuits which are patented. He would have to give the manufacturer enough information to properly build the amplifiers.
@@JasonWW2000 The "clean D" is just a common mode choke on the input/output. It's nothing special. Even rockford's prime level amps have it. The E1500.1 doesn't seem to have any "clean D" to it looking at the gut pics. Which is the one that is identical to the hifonic alpha series.

I remember hifonics used to be a good amp back in the day. The engineer that design this amp originally came from autotech. Hifonics and autotech amps are one in the same because that engineer started his own company. That is known today hifonics but cheaper than autotech.
Hey Big D, can you get your hands on one of the NVX full bridge amps? If I could pick I'd say the XAD16. I've been playing around with my taramps bass5k and the nvx 8k and the 8k doesn't seem to be 3000k more powerful, but it has a MUCH cleaner output! On my oscilloscope the taramps is all over the place, but the NVX is crisp all the way up to clipping.
Im about to have a Recoil RED1200.1 hooked up to a Skar DDX-15. So I'll see shortly how it does. Ive got the Skar hooked up to a JP23 in my car right now its gonna be interesting to hear the difference

I got my nephew a sky high bass knob. The same that I use in my 4 15” 5k build. Easy to install and it has a good potentiometer.

Some of the D4S amps are the same, my MM1004 is angled screws. I think he rest of the MM series is as well.

I'm sure Tony did design his own amps. It's quite possible the company building his are cloning his designs. Seems unlikely though.

You should include 'AMPER' draw on your tests! I'm going to buy an old Cadillac and put 2 class H amps. in the trunk!

Hey Big D, can you get your hands on one of the NVX full bridge amps? If I could pick I'd say the XAD16. I've been playing around with my taramps bass5k and the nvx 8k and the 8k doesn't seem to be 3000k more powerful, but it has a MUCH cleaner output! On my oscilloscope the taramps is all over the place, but the NVX is crisp all the way up to clipping.

Im about to have a Recoil RED1200.1 hooked up to a Skar DDX-15. So I'll see shortly how it does. Ive got the Skar hooked up to a JP23 in my car right now its gonna be interesting to hear the difference
I would stick with the jp23 I was thinking of buying that amp! I hate the skar 800.1 I've got it heats up quickly 😢
