    That should be a great asset...be able to work day and night ..summer and winter in there ..

    I hope it is blended into the surroundings, otherwise a great amenity.

      It looks great on the artwork and is much more built than shown here now. As for 'blending in' - that is in the eye of the beholder, there are some locally moaning about it but most support the NYMR as they bring a lot of tourists to the area. I think it is fantastic.

    Shall good to see this in use. Will the Pullman be based there?

      I know the Pullman normally starts at Grossmont on the far platform but I would think that all the coaches will be going in here with it having a capacity of 40. One section has walkways for the cleaners to easily move from carriage to carriage. Main carriage renovations are in the shed at Pickering but I would not be surprised if some unrestored projects get put in here from time to time (thinking of you DMU!).

    So in Yorkshire they have horse STABLES for their horse drawn ? carriages !!!!
    I think they mean a "Carriage shed", the traditional railway term for a covered building for carriages !!!
