Beautiful hair you have! small tip: when you find knots, cut them with scissors instead of pulling! Cutting them makes a clean slice through the hair cuticle which makes it less prone to splitting, however pulling and breaking the hair creates a split end in the process.

Just a tip from a low porosity 4C natural who uses rice water: it works well for me when I apply it underneath my deep conditioner and apply heat. I spray my hair with rice water, add deep conditioner then sit under the drier. Afterwards I rinse it all out with warm warm and pour the rest of my rice water on top and leave it. Does well with stopping my shedding. But for sure do research as she said 😊
@@tyelifestyle2000 A much better tip from a low porosity woman. Use like 1/4 cup of jazmine rice with about 1 gallon of water. Rich water is a cleanser, which mean you may use it often. The rice water people make on here are too concentrated.
@@DeedeeEats yea for sure, some folks do concentrate it too much. But it totally depends on the person. I tend to use 1/4 cup of rice and fill the rest of the mason jar up with distilled water. I find that by finger detangling I was losing more hair than with combs and brushes so I went back. I feel like I was too rough with my hair I want to start washing my hair more often to make the tangles less bad, I tried washing 2x a week and it was definitely better

I need to use combs on conditioned hair too bc my roots are always tangled no matter how stretched my hair is & finger detangling will make it worse for the rest of my hair
Omggg your back & gorgeous as ever!! Btw I need to know the details on how to do the rice rinse & your SO right about apple cider vinegar. It helps on skin too
Hey Mariahhh 🥰 thank you so much! Will be making a video on my rice water routine after the mental health one, & YES diluted ACV is one of the best things that’s ever happened to me!
Your hair is GORGEOUS!!! Thank you for sharing all of your tips! :) I was also able to grow my hair much longer over quarantine. I agree that hydration is key for curly girls. I wash less frequently and treat myself to overnight masks. And yes, it's not any one thing, but rather the combination of diet, supplements, exercise, rest, products, application, and methodology, which have made an impact.
Once I get to collar bone without being stretched, that’s my by the end of the year. But my overall goal is boob length. Once I get there, I probably wouldn’t let it grow any longer😂😂
Ohhhh okay gotcha, I have a video on my channel about my hair journey, my mom cut my hair ear length in 6th grade and since then I’ve been a slow grower! It took about 3ish years to finally get past my shoulder, and about 6 months with the help of rice water and these tips to get to boob length when stretched a bit :)
The only thing I’ve use of Shea moisture are the deep treatment hair mask & the restore one too But I always wanted to try rice water to help my hair grow Thanks for these tips ❤️
Ur face is getting a little fuller too, looks good on u hun! I’m also thinking about going to back to Shea moisture Shea butter line which grew my hair fast when I was transitioning
Aww thank you, & shea moisture is the truth!! Be aware though, a lot of people are having bad reactions I’ve heard. Personally I haven’t, but I’m definitely keeping an eye out for any future hair related weirdness
I stopped finger detangling in the shower. Now, I detangle before shampooing, using a paddle brush, spray bottle, and SheaMoisture detangler. This is the best thing I ever did for my hair and helped me stop feeling like I was fighting with my hair each week. I think finger detangling is horrible but I respect others’ choice to do it!
I love washing go with apple cider and yes.. it does a condition like thing to my hair and makes my curls pop. I don't brush my hair but I will comb with my fingers then comb with a wide tooth comb. The combing after my hair is moisturized and conditioned let's combing be a breeze and less breakage.. more growth. You are beautiful. And so is your hair girl. God has you.. always
You have a very pretty face and your hair is amazing. You are truly blessed to have both and a sweet personality. I know it's some real haters but be strong.Let them roll by and.realize that they have assets too. Thanks for sharing. I finally got my hair long without chemicals .
my hair grew fast when I first dyed it in quarantine but then it started to get dry😕and recently I cut the rest of the dye out the back of my hair for graduation. Hopefully the back grows back quick 🤦🏾♀️
Question here 😊 I am currently growing my hair out and right now it’s still short it comes to maybe about cheek length, and a little hang time in the back…. I would love to do some twists, but I am afraid of how it will come out lol the only protective style. I know how to do right now is a simple ponytail with a bun 😬 any other suggestions ladies??????
Hair sheds regardless depending on the where you are in the growth cycle so detangling with fingers may not show as much shed hair during washing as you haven’t removed the shed hair completely. I’ve done both and find less tangles when I detangle completely with a comb. Fingers just don’t do it for me. 😉
You’re absolutely right! But I’m not talking about shedding, I’m talking about breakage and premature fallout. A lot of my brushes forcefully pulled my hair and snapped it, also couldn’t really gauge how rough a brush was being because it kinda plays as a middle man. With finger detangling I feel like I’m way more in control, as I can really feel out any knots with my fingers and apply pressure needed. (With lots of conditioner!) Again this is my personal routine so It’s to be taken with a grain of salt, I understand if some tips may not apply to everyone! :)
Thank you christa 🥰 my hair actually doesn’t grow super fast genetically, I grew it out up until about 6th grade when my mom cut it for me, (ear length) and have had pretty slow growth since then. (Never passed shoulder length healthy for years!)
Disclainer not a professional Shea moisture Rice water yep No hair brush in the shower yep Cut the end once a month yep Acv rinse in place of shampoo yep Co wash / conditioner rinse Deep moisturizer Protective styling Mango butter Water vitamins ( d ) Turmeric/ peppermint tea Exercising No brushing for washing Rice water Products in the same line Satin pillow etc... Try to avoid excessive oiling.
my thing is after 20 something years of dealing with all this hair arent we all tired of washing our hair. i just want to cut it all off once it grows back. it is very difficult to clean the longer it gets. i try the once a month shampoo thing but if i wait that long it gets harder to clean so it has to be every 2 to 3 weeks and aint nobody got time fa dattttt. i cant get product out of my hair. but the thing that ik grows hair is castor oil but its hard to clean out

Always always! And thank you so much :) & acv literally changed the game! Wish I had incorporated it into my weekly routine sooner

my hair grew fast when I first dyed it in quarantine but then it started to get dry😕and recently I cut the rest of the dye out the back of my hair for graduation. Hopefully the back grows back quick 🤦🏾♀️
Claiming it for you 💌

Thanks nikkiiiiii 🥰
Using rice water can also be very damaging it's got a lot of protein it can dry and break certain hair types so glad it worked for you nice hair

I tend to use acv right right before I wash my hair as a detangler. It makes my hair so soft and it’s like it melts the knots away
It’s toooooo good

Aww too sweet, thank you 🤎
Absolutely beautiful hair you have.
You are beautiful also well/soft spoken, you have great energy...
Aww this is such a kind comment thank you Jennifer 🥰
I did the exact same thing and I dyed mine so many colors every week and now I’m trying to fix it it’s so weird not having my curls anymore
your curls are sooo beautiful! quick question, does your hair grow fast genetically?
Thank you christa 🥰 my hair actually doesn’t grow super fast genetically, I grew it out up until about 6th grade when my mom cut it for me, (ear length) and have had pretty slow growth since then. (Never passed shoulder length healthy for years!)
Just stopping by to salute your curl glory👏👍
Thank u Jenny 💕
Nahhhh your hair is so beautiful 😍😍😍
