      Just got my SV 4x4 crew cab and I routinely get around 24 to over 25 MPG in mixed driving or interstate. I'm very happy with that.

    I just bought a Nissan frontier SV crew cab 6 ft bed 4x4, my only complaint is turning radius and payload. The best thing about it is it’s a V6 natural aspirating engine with good HP, needs more torque but not a big deal I can still tow 3 tons. I love how basic and simple it is, how a truck should be. I’m pretty happy with it I do a lot of highway driving and I’m ready to use it for landscape work and dump runs.

      I just bought a 2024 SV 4x4 long bed. Turning radius? It turns on a dime compared to my 2012 which turned like a battleship. You get used to it.

    I have a 2022 Pro-4X. I actually like the seats. My main complaint is the lack of a telescoping steering wheel. The turning radius leaves much to be desired but you get used to it and it's worth the hydraulic steering feel. The adaptive cruise control is a bit over zealous with down shifts as well.

  • @amexna
    @amexna ปีที่แล้ว +6

    Your complaints are my complaints. I would buy one except for those three things. Mainly, the seats. I don't think car manufacturers realize that if you can get a potential customer to sit in "any" vehicle and it has a wonderfully comfortable seat, you are more than halfway to having a sale. It's simple.

    Great review. I just traded in my 2012 SL 4x2 long bed yesterday for a 2024 SV 4x4 long bed with the technology package. My 2012 had the hard plastic interior. 11 years and a 160K later, it still looked like new. That's the big advantage to hard plastic interior trim. So far, the 2024 is awesome. Ride, interior, and features are fantastic. Couldn't be happier. Especially after the utilitarian 2012 model. Which, by the way, was the best vehicle I've owned in terms of quality. Bullet proof. It was a great truck. I hope the 2024 lives to my 2012. It's a beautiful truck inside and out.

    Thanks for review man ! I’ve never paid attention to Frontier before, the prior look didn’t spark interest I guess. But for hauling e-bike, I note the bed height of Frontier seems usable compared to Colorado or Ranger, I assume the Taco, too. I do wish for soft touch where arm lays, but chuckle over thinking much about hard touch at top of dash. I just dust it a couple times a year to actually feel that, be in contact. Test drove a Frontier and biggest surprise was how quiet inside. Excellent !! And the ride was not too truck-ish, I think it will agree with me. Step in/out height as tall person, was excellent. The four step things in the way of longer legs are unbolt-able and will quickly be gone. I LOVE all the physical push buttons even if scattered about. I may feel pressure to grab a 2024 before 2025 mild makeover comes. There are articles out there hinting on a larger control screen and they might raise the height of truck any at all ?? It’s already at the edge of too tall to lay bike down in/lift up and then roll it down a motorcycle ramp. E-bikes+gear stowed are not lightweight. Sales guy and I verified the bike snugly fits laid down in the nigh 5’ bed. Can’t use a heavy duty rear bike carrier during winter and salty slushy stuff thrown all over it. The Pro-X series have the LED headlights and the only ding from IIHS safety and crash testing was the tungsten headlights on some trims were rated as poor. I’m going to insist on the luxury of a heated steering wheel and try hard to find one still having cloth seats. If I can convince myself to part with considerable coin. Sure would be nice some type of hybrid option to squeeze up to 30 mpgs. But then, I don’t drive many miles, if I do the math comparing higher cost of hybrid to save fuel vs more $ for extra gas, it may take 8 years to catch up break even. On the other hand, less gas burned, less pollutants considered. On the other-other hand, producing batteries and recycling them when shot, is also something. Typical of “life”, there is no have my cake and eat it too. Summation, overall pleasantly surprised on the 2024 Frontier PRO-4X. It hits the sweet spot in many places. Especially how quiet inside and it still has many easy use physical buttons and knobs. A computer screen control center drives me a little buggy and I like real, moving, actual analog style gauges, not computer simulated gauges. Grey hair syndrome.

    I have the Pro4X but with cloth seats and find them fine, there's also an adjustable lumbar support lever on the driver seat on the right hand side near the center cubby. One thing I don't like and was disappointed with was the fact that only the driver side front window has auto up and down for the windows. The other 3 windows you have to hold down to go all the way up or down, that was disappointing but not that big a deal.

    No joke, it be my first pick if it had better camera sharpness, front lockers not only a rear locker, an automatic 4 wheel drive standard drive train rather then the 2 wheel drive as i live in snowy areas and would buy this mainly to overland.
    Vented seats and the option to have material seats with heated and cooled seats, heated steering wheel would be a huge bonus for me, not a fan of leather seats honeslty...
    An other bonus for me would be a factory 1 to 1.5 inch lift not using bumpers to make sure the suspensions dont bottom out.
    They did a fantastic job for the look, and i love how they got all these add on options.

      Who buys a truck for camera sharpness.

    • @Skraals
      @Skraals 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@familydad3241 when every single truck or car, even the $ 25k ones have sharper rear camera then yes. You expect camera sharpness on a vehicle that costs twice as much.
      When your screen is already grizzled and then you add rain you don't see anything. If the base view is the standard 1080 then some rain or splash you may still see that passerby or kid that decided to jump behind your truck.
      It's 2023, not 2000 car manufacturers have advanced so yes, I do buy a truck ans make the the tech package comes with a sharper camera image. I'm not buying a civic base model, I'm paying real good money and expect my money's worth. If you want to pay premium prices and receive low quality stuff, that is your prerogative but do not mock or question others logic, even if it is for camera quality on a truck.

    7:26 It looks like Toyota is going to lose their longtime customers when their next-gen Tacoma will dump the V-6 and only offer the I-FORCE 4 cylinder engine.
    Advantage: NISSAN!
    12:13 You should also take a look at Doug DeMuro's review of the 2022 Frontier as he complains that the steering wheel and the gear shifter were left over from the previous generation Frontier, not to mention the lack of a telescopic steering wheel, and the lower section of the dashboard compromising the amount of space (or lack there) of knee room below the steering wheel (no driver's side airbag for the knee? NOT COOL NISSAN😡😡😡😡😡).
