- If you're looking for a travel destination in Denmark outside of the main cities, Svendborg should be on your radar. In this video, I'm travelling to Svendborg to share this underrated Danish town with you guys.
Svendborg has just shy of 30.000 inhabitants, and there are so many awesome things to do within the town itself and in the nearby area.
I'd recommend spending a few days here so you can experience the town and go on a few excursions to the islands that can be reached from Svendborg Harbour.
Here are a few of the hotels I mentioned in the video:
Hotel Garni - the super cheap hotel right across from the station: destinationwellknown.com/link...
Hotel Svendborg - decent hotel in the city centre that can be a bit expensive in high season: destinationwellknown.com/link...
Would you visit Svendborg in Denmark? 🇩🇰
Let me know if you're planning a trip to Denmark and you have any questions 🤝
Really nice video of our wonderfull town. Actually another common theme is that young locals often move to bigger cities when they finish high school. Then after some years when they are ready to settle down they come back to Svendborg. It's not that usual in other smaller cities in Denmark. I am one of many who have done this 🙂
That’s exactly what happened to my friend who grew up in Svendborg 😀 I think it says a lot about how nice a city it actually is 🙌
This is wild. I took my family to DK and spent a couple of days in Svendborg a couple of days ago. Thought it was a bit sleepy (not a bad thing!) but found it's actually really cool. Then you put out this vid. Crazy. Your vid about KPH transport also really helped us out. Cheers. Keep up the good work!
Haha that’s so funny! 😀 Why did you decide to visit Svensborg in the first place? Thanks for your comment - I’m glad you could use my tips 🙌

@@destinationwellknown We were in the Svendborg area on a Recon Mission looking at real estate(!). We were delighted with meeting the Danes. Very friendly & fun indeed! Fyn & Langeland are so beautiful. Time to leave the awful British Isles!...
Hi Kris, I was in Aarhus last week. Arrived in CPH from Edinburgh on Saturday, the lady at the Border control asked me where I was going, I said Aarhus, she said "why do you want to go there?" Got the train to Aarhus on Sunday for 3 nights then left CPH on Friday. I quite liked Aarhus, went to the art museum with the coloured roof, not a fan of art even less modern art but it was quite interesting, the best bit was having a beer on the roof terrace. Also went to the old town museum, we have something similar here called Beamish. Street food place was good with loads of choice. The weather over there was red hot, still waiting for summer in the UK, its been the coldest, wettest most cloudy start to the year I can remember here and its already past half way.
Hahaha, the border control lady was 100% a native Copenhagener 😅
That sounds like an amazing trip to Denmark 🙌 I've lived in Aarhus for a few months, but it's almost 10 years ago so I think I will have to go back and experience the city again.
Weather-wise I think you got lucky - we're back to "British summer" weather here in Denmark too 😅
I'm glad you had a good trip to Denmark!
@@destinationwellknown Yeh it was good thanks, always wanted to go to Skagen, I know it looks like there is not much there but I have a couple of Skagen watches, simple boring but stylish.
Hi Kris, great vlog as always. Appreciate your candor about plus and minus options. Very valuable for planning purposes. Please keep 'em coming. 😊
Thanks a lot 🙏
Loved my visit to Denmark a few years ago. Will visit again if I get the chance!
And Kris, if you need any background music for your videos, feel free to use ANY of the songs on my channel. No copyright 😃❤
That's awesome to hear!
Thanks a lot 🙌
🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Im born and raised in svendborg, and I left it for copenhagen... its a beautiful place but not fun to live in an entire life if you doesnt like the Jantelov mentality...
Instead of hotels you should try some of the beautiful camping sites or Bed & Breakfast places in the area

Thanks man - trying my best here 🤣🤝
@@destinationwellknown I mean about the SEO part. If you agree, I can give you a full explanation.
Der er også et vandrehjem i Svendborg, just FYI ;)
Tak!
Dude. You did all the most exclusive stuff (it is nigh impossible to get a table at resumé within the next 6 mths) and there are loads of great restaurants and cafés with way more charm and soul. You kind of missed what this place is all about. There is SOO much more to this place. And bnb's are abundant for way better prices.
Dude, we literally got a table at Resumé 2 days ahead of going to Svendborg 😅
This town looks really nice mister but then it’s going to be difficult to make anywhere in Denmark look bad 🤔❤️🏴
On a sunny day Denmark always looks stunning 🤩🇩🇰
