I'm not in the medical field so what i went through may or may not be the same as your process, I was simply explaining my experience. This was really insightful, I currently have a lump in my breast and our situations are a bit similar, I've been to a doctor about a year ago and he told me the same thing you were told initially.
Right now I'm really scared about getting a surgery done to take it out because I've never had one before but this was a calming, thank you.

They used a dissolvable thread to stitch it up, so you can hardly see the scar but you can feel it.

Doctos thought it was cancer for me.
Then when biopsy said it wast cancer they said it was an absess.
Goingto visit them in 2 days and share if they considered it being fibroadenoma

Hey, idk if you still check this but I have huge fibroadenomas (one in each breast) and I’m supposed to have them removed soon. Can you please tell me if you have any bad scarring, indents, or asymmetry since fully healing? I’m nervous about how it’s going to look afterwards. Mine are really close to the surface of my skin

Hey love, yes I do have a scarring but just at the end of the stitch because of the knot, the rest is dissolved and even the little scarring I have isn’t obvious I can just feel it. Ask your doctor if they’re using dissolvable stitch, if yes then you should be fine it will dissolve with time.

I’m not sure what country you’re in but in the US there’s a program called “breast and cervical cancer program “ it’s available in most states and the fully cover the cost of the surgery.
