hi! I have had 3 of these (2 in my left breast in my early 20's) and another in my right at 26. Two were only biopsied and one was almost nearly removed with biopsy. I have a little asymetry in the bottom of that breast/area, so one breast a little larger than the other. My question is, i have always been a bit self-conscious about my breast size and would be open to getting breast augmentation - if it were considered safe for me to do so. I'm now about to be 40. I had pcos and fibroadenoma both. So I started taking pill for pcos. This pill increase estrogen hormone in female as per I know. And increased level of estrogen cause fibroadenoma. Oral contraceptives actually caused more of a hormonal imbalance for me! I had 2 fibroadenomas in my early 20's after taking hormonal BC pills. Then again had another fibroadenoma in my mid 20's (after taking it again for about a year)... I don't mean to sound alarmist, but i would strongly encourage looking into non-hormomal forms of birth control. i have had no other breast issues since discontinuing BC pills.
Tingling sensation / current like sensation is common for a couple of weeks. It’s a sign of nerve regeneration but if the area is hot/ red, it is better you get it examined by the operating surgeon

tail is normal. The pectoral muscle is normal.
LEFT BREAST
H/O : Lumpectomy.
There is focal thickening of skin at the scar site. A 2.4 x 5.6 mms
subcutaneous lesion is seen at the site of swelling in inferomedial
quadrant likely epidermal inclusion cyst. No other focal area of altered
echotexture is seen. The retromammary area is normal. The axillary tail
is normal. The pectoral muscle is normal.
No enlarged axillary lymphnodes are seen on either side.
IMPRESSION:
Right breast lesions suggestive of fibroadenomas. BI-RADS 3.
Subcutaneous lesion in left breast suggestive of epidermal
inclusion cyst.
Sir I'm 23 years old and I was dying of worry...I'm having no issues with my lump , i even got it checked it's not malignant...and it keeps on moving so I'm guessing it's fibroedema only, I'm having it from more than 3 years...and I was in alot of worry and mentally stressed that what should I do ...

Considering the size and the family history of breast cancer; you should get it removed. Both open surgery and VABB are options in your case

Depends on the size. Lumps which are very small need not be removed

I got mammography done 6months back and the report says hyalinised fibroadenoma .I have continuous pain in my right breast as if something is pulling my nerves constantly. If you press the breast and nipple hard ,I experience a weird pain.

Hello I have fibroadenoma below my right breast , i was told it longer than it is wider when I under went an ultrasound, I've had two ultrasounds, I was diagnosed of it in 2020,.I was told by the doctor after my second ultrasound that it's still the same in size, and also small in size and do not have necessarily go under surgery, I agreed but family is quite worried, do they have any need to?
I had a biopsy today. I’m waiting but I was told that it looks more like a fibroadenoma. It’s 4 cm and I do have history of breast cancer. Do you think I sho have it removed? Mine is located at 5 oclock on left breast and sometimes it feels sore, but it’s not painful.

Is there any problem if one go through open breast surgery than VABB ? Other than scar mark is there any prob? My left SOL size is 3.4×1.2 cm.
Scar mark is the main issue. Also with VABB there is faster recovery

I have multiple gaint fiberoadenomas in both sides size from 3-5cm and even +.
Sometimes it is painful, sometimes it is painless. I had more than enough lactation during breastfeeding stage. The fiberoids are moveable inside and separate that can be held if tried to hold.
Kindly suggest for my problem doctor. Its been more than 7 years now.

Mainly grows because of hormonal fluctuations. Not seen any food links but stress is definitely a factor

Hi dr i have fibroadenomas from almost 8 years, i have 2 kids now and i m 29 i was 21 when i was diagnosed with these fibroadenomas i m now feelling tenderness in brest when i do something heavy or when i hold my 1 year old. I m very scared do i need to operate this or not please rply me.

No studies have shown reduction in size of these lumps with oral contraceptives
Oral contraceptives actually caused more of a hormonal imbalance for me! I had 2 fibroadenomas in my early 20's after taking hormonal BC pills. Then again had another fibroadenoma in my mid 20's (after taking it again for about a year)...
I don't mean to sound alarmist, but i would strongly encourage looking into non-hormomal forms of birth control. i have had no other breast issues since discontinuing BC pills.
Why have I not been offered vabb? They want to remove my 51mm x 21mm fibroadenoma with an op and cut around the nipple. I’m 44 and I’m in the UK Nhs.
VABB is a relatively new technology. I’m not sure if the hospital there is performing it

Tingling sensation / current like sensation is common for a couple of weeks. It’s a sign of nerve regeneration but if the area is hot/ red, it is better you get it examined by the operating surgeon
