Be good to see WSBK/MOTO GP on the same track same weekend as a support I’d pay to go see that
Love the technical track talk. Martin for the sprint. Pedro for the Sunday win!
designing Circuits to suit F1 Cars, rather than challenging Designers to build Cars to conquer circuits, has cost us many previously brilliant features, Bridge Corner at Silverstone and the Bus Stop at Spa are just two that come to mind....
Agree with you about Bridge not so sure about the bus stop at spar
Can never get my head around F1 logic. They go on about run off yet race at Monaco and Azerbaijan.
no Logic in F1, only Money
All I have ever heard about motorcycles and cars on the same track is that the rubber difference makes it very difficult if not unsafe for motorcycles. Sounds like a terrible idea.
Liberty are gonna look at getting maximum amount of people into the Grand Prix venue and ramping up the atmosphere. In case of MotoGP that means, Tilke tracks with huge grandstands. Bahrain is a strong contender to come on the calendar and probably likely to host F1 and MotoGP in the same weekend sometime in the future. They have the infrastructure there. Multiple pit Garage complexes and the track is flood lit. You can spread all the F1 and MotoGP sessions in Day light and night. Expect huge investment in COTA to improve the fan atmosphere.. same in India as well. Tilke tracks with very high seating capacity. More investment in Sepang and Thailand. I'm predicting great numbers from the above mentioned GPs in the span of the next 2 years.
Currently, both classes use four of the same circuits. These are the circuits in Barcelona, Austin, Spielberg and Silverstone, so those seem to be the contenders. According to Ezpeleta, it will not happen before 2027 in any case, as MotoGP has contracts with circuits until 2027
Sprint: Marini , Mir , Bradl
Race: Marini , Acosta , Marquez
Monza! Ferchrissakes!
F1 is more like a parade lap than a race 🙄
Sprint : Acosta, Martin, Marquez
Race: Maverick, Marquez , Acosta
Not a problem ! Who wants boring F1 anyway ????
Possibly the same that watch dying MotoGP???? Watched it even before it was the 500 gp…apart from some fabulous riders it’s known as the Ducati cup globally.now I’d get rid of MotoGP and keep moto 2 and 3 as there more entertaining
@@andyfry745Remember when it was the Honda cup, the Yamaha cup ? No one complained then ? It's a phase that all sorts go through. It'll come right. At least they are racing each other, overtaking, etc
@@andyfry745
“Dying Motogp” yet viewing and attendance figures up 20%, never been so many different winners or close race finishes
I also have been watching since the 80s , I don’t have the rose tinted glasses
Plenty boring races then as well, with one or two riders dominating, seconds between riders, riders getting lapped
@@peterkoning21 yes I remember it all..and it wasn’t a dig a Ducati as I’m Italian…was more a dig about personalities that are no longer there…and extra races that’s just silly…
@@macsmith6216 ive watched from the tran Atlantic trophy days…regardless I agree with most of what you said…and I’m the few percentage that insist on innovation and aero..it must stay…engineers as I am work a lifetime to give you the pinnacle of performance with learnt procedures.if we soon drop to 850 the will be displacement issues but then Yamaha will come to the fore…I think overall no one’s personality stands out? Maybe Marquez and Acosta? Martin too..rivalries are what kept bike racing alive…I hope we go back to one race a weekend…for riders and engineers and team staff.
vinales to win both races, the way he was turning that bike in cota was crazy
YUP,and Jerez was a corker. ALSO, if I’m not mistaken Pecco had to beat Mr Marquez as ,if I’m not mistaken ‘ he has the latest and BETTER machine?
Yes this is cool Peace out
If F1 and Motogp did that it would have to be COTA. F2, F3 don't race there, and F1, MotoGP both race there. Maybe also Silverstone because of the amount of garages... but F2 and F3 will have to be left out.
F1 would in a way take a back seat, just due to the amount of races MotoGP has.
Maybe 3 RC16s on the rostrum
You’ll get extremely good odds on that happening
Keith, Bless ya - watched you race - it was awesome as you were fast and mean, but dude, mentioning your age and how much everything costs all the time - the folks who know anything about the history of the GP's - The British! so weather, money and age very err sorry but dull. ok - prove that i am a real fan - my personal choice for best race - 1989 aussie GP, best big balls ride - jorge lorenzo at assen with a broken collarbone, best place to feel great when you get it right - back side of Oulton Park after the bridge, and this weekend Jerez - the spanish are gonna be fighting amongst themselves but its martins track and as a wild fling - if he's on form and the bike works, raul fernandez - but my perfect result, KTM's and Aprilia fighting it out for the wins on both days - and please boys - whoever is fatest - follow each other in FP1 to get to FP2 - why aren't teams doing this? (oh thats not fair ol chap...LOL - who gives a toss when you are in QP1!
🥊Dani vs Jorge 🥊 I'm rooting for Dani Pedrosa. Who you picking?
56kg Danny against 76kg Lorenzo wee bit unfair, but think Danny will still have him a KO for Danny🫨
Racing is expensive - how do you think the tracks pay for repairs and improvements? - Condos and building new event based VIP experiences are the future of big investment - yes, real fans pay to get thru the gate - but they are not the real money - not today - basically, the old days are gone - - silverstone has problems as it won't change - buy one get one free? - racing is expensive - it costs real money - that doesn't come from supermarket bargain isle - it comes from a $250,000 lease on a condo at Silverstone- or Cota - or wherever. Liberty being a buy one get one free company - not a hope - i think to go or watch motogp is going to get more expensive - they haven't bought it to save the old race fans and help them - they want to sell you a $10 beer and $10 water and up the ticket price or - then you don't go and pay more to watch it on the tele - motorcycle racing in the UK - is it growing or shrinking? - so the future may be great - but it will be waay more expensive - that is a thing you can be sure of.
Kawasaki/Bimota on the WSBK grid next year Keith. MotoGP in 2027?
Basically that’s Kawasaki all but pulling out of WSBK so would doubt very much they’ll be entering Motogp
Good article in Bike sport news about it
Assen with a quickly movable chicane or two to slow the cars down?
Assen doesn’t have. Grade1 license to hold Formula1
Phillip Island is the best circuit on our calendar. Always delivers a great race. You can still get up close to the action unlike most of the modern circuits. F1 there? Nahh thanks. Let them stick with the immensely boring Albert Park street race.
Not interested in anything F1. Back to the bikes lads.
Nooo joint race please. It's not applicable & clever in many aspect. Let them be like today. Racing in alternate weekend, perfect for fans of both sports.
TERRIBLE idea
