At least the Gunblade can actually be used as a weapon. Cool as the Buster Sword is, not a chance that any normal person could even think of lifting it, let alone using it.
@@jacobybalmer1882 a normal person? You mean people who survives explotions, bullets, monsters, magic, etc? What the f. you mean by normal people, people from the FF world or p.sy. from the real world?
@@jacobybalmer1882you are forgetting that the only people who actually use it in combat are essentially super soldiers. Cloud only uses it pre powers to stab sephiroth from behind, he doesn’t swing it.
I always liked the bells wielded by the Geomancer job class. Chrono Cross, a second cousin to the Final Fantasy series, had some unique weapons like spoons, cards and a bunnygirl who wields a carrot.
if they ever remake VIII i hope they keep the weird Angelo LB's, but add more backstory relating to maybe Rinoa's sorceress powers protecting / augmenting him or something. I want to see Angelo Canon in 8K
well, there's Rinoa's CG attacks on Brave Exvius... the closest we have right now of seeing her weird skills with Angelo on current graphics th-cam.com/video/601Szj4UDpY/w-d-xo.html
Always wondered just how brutal Blitzball really is. Wakka requires little retraining for fighting monsters, Tidus football charges a poor sucker straight out of the arena at high speed into the stands, and Wakka’s World Champion ball has big spikes and sharp serrated edges in the middle. I think easy access to healing spells might explain some of it, but i can all but guarantee that there have been deaths during games. It feels like a cross between American football and water polo, but with more violence and blood.. Edit: mini spikes, but edged pinwheels on the top and bottom for the Blitzball.
How is a mop a less viable weapon than a megaphone? I think Cait Sith should of been in Cid's place, but hey what do I know? Cool video by the way, appreciate it!
Honorable mention should go to the Automatons from Final Fantasy XI used by Puppetmasters, like their name suggests they are pint-sized killer robots that can be directed to attack enemies semi-independently, although you can change out its head and body to make it look like a knight, an archer, or a mage. You also can equip your little killer robot with attachments, from a flashbulb to piss off enemies, to an ice maker that somehow boosts magic power, and even a coffee percolator to learn skills faster! They are incredibly customizable and built right you can buddy yourself up with a brickwall tank, a killer sniper, or a bursting nuker.
Commenting before finishing the vid. Yuffie's Superball. You know..those super bouncy balls. That disappear after bouncing around. Lost to oblivion! 😂😂
I want to see a character have a yo-yo like that one girl from Erigeiz or however you spell that old weird Final Fantasy fighting game from like the PS1 era
Who would've thought Final Fantasy X would be mentioned twice in one row? And also Lulu would be shocked if one of her dolls is a possessed doll named, CHUCKY.
I honestly wouldn't have included 'joke' weapons or special abilities on a list like that. I thought the Baskets in FF9 were such a weird weapon. I think they were like the only 'ranged' weapons in FF9. Red XIII's hair pins and Cait Sith's trumpets were other weird weapons. I don't really get how either one actually helped cause more damage. The pins I can give a little more credit to because Red actually tackled people so I can see how they could work but the trumpet I can't see at all. Cait Sith's doll was the one punching things and I can't see how having a different trumpet increased the punching strength of his doll. I hope if there ever is a FF7 remaster the original game, not like the remake, that they do give updates to Cait Sith to have either different dolls or do damage with the trumpet in some way.
His last Limit Move, in germany it was "Ekstase" Aurochs T is his last Ultimate Move, it only unlocks with his Ultimate Weapon World Champion (i think) which is complicated to unlock :'D But its worth looks pretty cool but aint the strongest of his 4 moves :)
@@MrTylerWpg I do believe that is also true but compared to his third move were he spins and can do 16 hits (tombola one) is by far the strongest at max stats ist like 76k -89k dmg per hit

My favorite bizarre weapon that I always go out of my way to obtain is Yuffie’s Superball weapon in ff7 original. Looks like a tennis ball that does a decent amount of damage for the time it’s acquired

The Gun Sword seemed like something a five-year-old would have come up with. "Yeah? Well my guy uses a sword that is also a gun!"
At least the Gunblade can actually be used as a weapon. Cool as the Buster Sword is, not a chance that any normal person could even think of lifting it, let alone using it.
even Tetsuya Nomura thought it was kinda weird in hindsight. at least he managed to make it look cool anyway

0:11, after all these years of playing FFX I'm still hearing voice lines I never knew existed.
Why does anyone find Lulu's Dolls as a weird weapond choice? Has no one ever heard of Voodoo Dolls before?
Final Fantasy 6/3 also had dice, used by Setzer
Was gonna say this
No dogs were harmed in the making of this video, just an Iron Giant by a dog.
Quina is op AF though too.
Would love to see a list of weird Dynasty Warriors weapons.
Not including Vanille's orb net from XIII was odd.
Dice were in FFVI too =P

“No dogs were harmed in the making of this video.” But that iron giant definitely got his shit pushed in.

I used that class with the Dark Knight class for my character.
Gotta give Setzer his due for the real dice
Barret's Rocket Punch 🤣
"Paintbrushes..."
Ichibe: Excuse you sir
you got his name wrong, its Tidus (Tea-dus)
I always remember Ward's anchor in FF8.
seriously, that fucker has an ANCHOR
Yes that, so is he a dragoon?
The ethics board would probably have a meltdown if they did, but the ULTIMATE weird weapon class would probably be sex toys.
Ff13 Vanille using a fishing Rod. Get out stranged.
Nice day for fishing ain't it, uh huh.
@RevanLockheart-by6ze that's a hero, right there
Was it Final Fantasy 6 that had a spoon? I remember saving that for the final dungeon and when you throw it, it does massive damage
It was 4 and it's either mistakenly translated or changed from a kitchen knife
"You Spoony Bard!"
You mention fabrics from FFT but not the fact that purses/handbags were also weapons in that game, heck they worked exactly like Quina’s forks.
Final Fantasy 12's Measure as weapons is the strangest idea
You should do a video on the craziest outfits in the Final Fantasy series
tell me you are on drugs, without telling me, you're on drugs. FFVIII " dog arm cannon"
Yep, that'll do it 👍
Blitzballs are not only the dumbest weapon but Blitzball is also the dumbest thing that was ever put into any Final Fantasy at all
Dice were already used as a part of cait siths limit break in ff7
Way before that! Setzer in ff6!
Harps, Gun sword, pinwheel, nail bat (as sword, climhazzard), vanille’s rods.
Angelo isn't a weapon though, she's a limit break..

lol ball always gets me
Was that yuna waka quote in the game? Ive never heard that and its so fkin funny
I love weird weapon types. Rita Mordio's cloth sashes, anyone?
I have a theory that blitzballs are alive that’s why the kid wanted to be one.
