Thanks for sharing this video with us ❤ for all the poor people who can't afford to pay the mortgage at the dealership.
Welcome!!! No need to go to dealer to pay and mess up ur car best u do it urself!!! Clean grease and do it correctly make the best out of the brake job
lol. Well-said.
Dam I should’ve looked this up before sending my car out to the shop. Cost me 500$. Smh
Brah you don't need to get the electric actuator off just rotate the piston with some pliers and then press it
Man. This video was a life saver.
Ended up having to drill out the retaining screw and just didn’t put it back on.
Yeah those r not nothing important
Me too. Both wheels yesterday - used penetrating oil for 10 minutes ahead! Have to wonder why they bother putting it in in the first place.
Great video. I bought a brake caliber compressor from harbor freight and turned the gear with the 8mm and it worked. Thanks again for the video and instructions.
Nice job!!!
Bruhhh you saving my life I finally started working on my car for everything. You need to create a playlist for all Honda accords changing different parts out for those years I have a 2018 1.5t….you saving my life and money! I’m a subscriber for life and I support you 100%
Oh ok will do soon make a play list
Saved me so much headache worked perfect on my 2018 accord 2.0t rear brakes .. thank you so much !!!
Nice good job!
Excellent video! Your illustration is on point! No questions asked!
Much appreciated!
Excellent video. Just finished my daughter's 2019 Accord. What a nice bypass to having to use the computer for the parking brake. Thanks so much!
Glad u liked and used the video!!!
Thank you for the awesome video sir. I'm about to do this job on my wife's car this weekend.
Good luck!
I am from the C - Clamp days...brought my son in law over my big C clamp to change my daughters brakes and he couldnt use... he ended up using a caulking gun to compress the caliper --- hey... it worked :) .... but guess what he forgot at the end of the day and the sun already set.... the little sensor :) -- anyway -- thanks for this vid -- good stuff and you're a great teacher.
Lol yeah he did good tho plug that back in
Thank you so so much! I already did my spark plugs yesterday on my 2.0 by following your videos! 🙏🏻 I’m going to do this next. Very helpful videos and great teaching skills!
Cool update me how it goes
@@RBTheMechanicwhere you are locate it at

@@RBTheMechanic I’m in Manhattan how much you charge for the rear rotors and front brake pad ?
@@HABIBI_SOUR this car with electric caliper labor is $190 + parts that varies on bran and quality they could be close to $140 in parts
Great instructions man. Thank you
Yup thank you!

A said it take me 3 hours to do one side, tomorrow I will the other side.
very helpful brother , thank you!
Yup! Welcome
Best explanation i have seen so far. Nice video
Yup thank you
There is no need to remove the motor assembly. Twist the piston back. (Makita ginder key fits perfectly).
I like my way safe and to the point no issues!!
Thanks you bro, really appreciate it.
No problem!!
Nice and clean tutorial thank you 💪🏽
Yup thank you!!

Thabks
Nice job and thanks to show
No problem 👍
Thank you man foreal
Welcome
Thank you!
You're welcome!
You compress the piston by removing the cap on the break fluid container. It will release the pressure from the break lines.
Yup it sure will
I thought I was the only one who says wiggle woggle 😂
Hell yeah wiggle wiggle bang zoom badabing badabiom shebang
Thanks for sharing your skills, what about Honda pilot 2023, does it have the same PISTON? any difference on this model than others?
That one might have same but not sure yet haven’t got the truck in yet for brakes but I think it might be regular compress caliper
2023 pilots don’t have electric parking brake they have a mechanic foot brake. You should be able to just press the calipers no problem.
My bad, I confuse the 2022 and 2023 a lot. It should be the same system.
can I follow the same process, regarding changing the rotor and brake pads on the 2021 10th gen 2.0T?
Yup very muck alike
I did the brake pad replacement but didn’t do the step of compressing the brake caliper. Not my accord is throwing up brake system lights and alerts. Not sure what to do
How could u do the brake without compressing the caliper?
Good job bro I will save $200 😊
Great 👍
nice video but you can use C clamps/C clamps vise grips though
Nope not on the u will damage the caliper and acuator
hey , what do you suggest on how to fix the E brake Sensor I accidentally pulled both wires off the connector. Thanks
The actuator? Or the u broke the wire connector
The wires inside the retainer got pulled off. It’s the sensor for the actuator.
When you compressed it with a 8mm . Do you go back to how it was or leave it as is ?
U can leave it there and then once’s ur all completed do the calabration process it will find its spot back to perfect spot to release the brakes
💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
So if I have a scan tool that will put the rear in brake service mode, I don’t need to remove the motor to compress the piston right
That’s correct!!
I think i rented a caliper tool and spinned the cylinder and it went in but its been fine for years lol not sure if its the proper way to do it.
Electric parking brake u need to wind it
Thanks. For the video. 😂
Welcome
Great video man. Do I need to bleed the brakes?
Not unless your going to flush the brake fluid
Not if ur only replacing pads and rotors as long as u didn’t remove any hydraulic lines that would let air in
👍
What spray did you use to clean the rotor off?
Parts cleaner
do the allen bolts need to be torqued?
If you have the specs and have the torque wrench go for it
Good video where do I buy the rotors bro
Any auto part store but this coated rotors u maybe have to do some searching
2018-2022.
You're like the new Scotty Kilmer
Yeah thanks bro I do fully detailed video!!
how do i turn off the brake warning light after?
Ur not suppose to have any light. Did u connect back the connectors?
Do you have a link to the brake pads you used?
No sorry this I purchased from my local part store
Where did you get that compression tool
It’s old blue point from snap on
Mann I just did my rear brakes and now when slowing down it makes this spring like sound hard to explain
Double check all of ur work hopefully nothing is loose
Will this work for a 2024 honda Accord hybrid
No
Process is similar tho I haven’t gotten any to do yet so far
So you dont need to put it in maintenance mode?
Yup I can if u got scan tool or do it this way
What kind of brakes did you use?
Power stop pads high quality electric coated rotors
Do you have to remove the sensor?
Which sensor or do u mean brake acuator
At 1:20-1:25 in the video. Do you have to remove the sensor?
@@notee6183 yes
What's the torque specs for those bolts?
What year make model and trim is ur accord
2018 honda accord lx 1.5
@@sherm848 I will check once I get back to work
Bro where is the torque wrench at? 😳😳 you give us a bad name
Nope! Good name! Keep it real
@@RBTheMechanic hahaha I guess your hands can measure that…
Caliper bracket: 80f lbs
Caliper slide pins: 18f lbs
Where is your torque wrench yes bro you give us mechanics a bad name mechanics like you is why you see tires flying on the highway good job showing the rest of TH-cam to be dumb mechanics
@RBTheMechanic you can feel the torque.
Ora 10 thousand Dolla Scan tool😂
Yeah
Where’s the front
Search it type in front brakes accord rb the mechanic
