I like how in detail these vids you make are. You're the #1 lore streamer in TLD. You make your vids sound like my history class in telling details like religion and events :)
I always thought it was a little far fetched that Astrid carried three survivors on her back, through the snow all the way back to the community center. When you said Astrid was the answer to Father Thomas’ prayers it made me think…maybe Astrid was given supernatural strength to complete this task. Excellent videos.
No, she did not have supernatural powers. There is nothing supernatural or otherworldly going on in the game. It's not hard to imagine a grown adult carrying another grown adult. It's possible, but very difficult and tiring.
I haven't played beyond the first chapter of the story yet, since I prefer the more challenging survival aspect of the game, but your videos are making me reconsider it. Great work!
Please do! This is a bit far into the story, so don't let the videos spoil you. At least play it once and come back if you want a deeper dive for the background lore.
Great Video! I really like Father Thomas. I love that he is a truly good person. Also as a Christian (I'm not Catholic though) Father Thomas is one of my favorite depictions of a Christian character.
The stim stash in church piano tells me that he helps drug addicts and that's how they repay him I think it's funny (I know hinterland said wintermute and survival are separate in story wise but I like to think the other way)
The note doesn't read like it's from him. It reads like it's from someone else. Maybe the person hiding them volunteered at the church. There's no way of knowing for sure though.
@@ToastyBits I thought like the drug addict who goes for group therapies made the piano his stash, maybe for using after the group therapy? Maybe just changed his mind and threw them in the piano so he can never use them again

Thematically, yes. Literally? No. There's nothing like that here.

I actually found father Thomas super annoying.
