    Is there a map with the bunker locations I only know a few TWM , PV (if it's the one by the rope to TWM) and FM ( I've never been to it just seen it in a video).

      There was a prepper cache refresh about 2 years ago. Any maps showing more than 1 prepper cache, or more than 2 for Pleasant Valley, is out of date. Look up region maps for 2024 or use the wiki to find the list of regions and locations.

      What? That is not what I said in the video at all. Rudiger's machine has nothing to do with the auroras. The game explicitly states on a loading screen that a geomagnetic storm, which comes from the sun, is the cause of the quiet apocalypse. As for the electricity being generated, what are auroras if not electrically charged particles energized by solar radiation.

    Ive always assumed what hinterland have been going for has always been pole shift - if so, the magnetosphere of the earth would get messed up, birds would migrate the wrong way, the earth would freeze, and the shifting magnetosphere would pull electrons in the brains of animals and humans and affect them in unusual ways - thats why mackenzie hallucinates Methuselah

      I have no idea if a pole shift would do all this, but I don't believe it occurred. The game itself says the First Flare and the other auroras are caused by geomagnetic storms. There is science to them and they don't cause magnetic pole shifts.

    The Long Dark programmers work hard. We are very fortunate to have them work so hard for our awesome game. We should be grateful. I bought the Long Dark and DLC. Over 300+ hours of HIGH QUALITY gaming time for a little money that can only buy you about 6 hours of movie time at a movie theater?? Guys, the Programmers are doing us a favor. We should support the Long Dark programmers. Kudos to the programmers of the Long Dark! Thanks! I don't know about you, but I am thankful the Long Dark 1 is not a subscription!

    I love that some customization will be there. It's one of the only things I kinda wished the first one had. It didn't detract from the original but I definitely think it'll add to the sequel. Sanity beyond cabin fever makes a lot of sense too.

    I always thought that shower rabbits may be there because someone caught them with the intention of butchering and it’s a way to not make a mess as shower cabin is easy to wash and the blood will go into the drain.

      A core part of the shower rabbit theory is that they are never seen in showers outside of the Far Territory. There are plenty of showers across Lower Great Bear, but there has never been a shower rabbit in them as far as I can tell.

      The auroras didn't spread. The science behind solar storms, which cause auroras, tells us the First Flare and all the other aurora events are global. It all happened at the same time. I doubt we will see any characters from the first game, nor will the events of Wintermute likely come up. It's a story about GBI, so it will likely be constrained to the first game.

    8:27 Yeah, that's also a travois. I was actually curious enough to read through the entire Wikipedia article on them, and larger ones were in fact used for horses. And yeah, I was taken somewhat aback by the presence of horses myself lul.

      It's going to be a completely different game. It's a new engine, so everything from the feel of movement to the lighting is going to be different. Being a co-op game, a lot of mechanics are going to change to account for that. It might even be a seamless world with no individual regions, but I'm not sure about that yet. There's going to be less loneliness considering there are Co-op friends, human NPCs, and even a horse friend.

      Honestly, console generations are meaningless now. The jump between the last gen and current one isn't that much. Games are backwards compatible on 2 of the 3 platforms (I'm not sure about PS4/5). If it dropped for Xbox Series, there is no doubt it will work on the successor. Will it drop for consoles before the next gen starts? Probably not. It's going to be in early access for about 2 years. After that, I doubt it will be on consoles until well after the next gen starts.
