I actually like Molly as a character, because I think she fits the setting, and most of the islanders you meet in the story are also little crazy. Only thing that bothers me is that I worry she may kill some of the survivors from Thomsons Crossing when they start to venture out for supplies, since she promised to kill every man she comes across. She planned to return, which is why the scarf pieces were left behind. He hadn't planned to leave him, but the prisoners got in the way.
