    If you want to save money on oil changes, and do your truck one hell of a favor that it will pay you back for doing, install an OPS bypass filter. It filters the oil down to 3 microns. I pull an oil sample every 20,000 miles, if it comes back good I change the OPS oil filter and run the same oil another 20,000... test, change oil and both oil filters.... You will pay for the unit in no time by safely skipping oil changes, BUT TESTING to see the condition of the oil. This also gives you a heads up to developing problems like fuel dilution, coolant in the oil, bearing wear etc while it is still a small problem, and before it costs you the engine. Pittsburgh Power bought the company and now manufactures and sells the units. I got mine installed there for 1200 dollars.

      Thanks a lot for that. I heard of something like that but never looked into it. I’ll do some research. Thanks 🙏

    Haven't used TQL over a year, they use their offset clause in their contract to screw you. Start off with them, but leave them alone after you get your time in.

    I change my own oil. 10 gallons of delo from walmart at about 150 dollars. 30 dollar cummins oil filter. 10 dollar fuel filter. and 10 dollars of grease for the truck and then I adjust the brakes while I'm at it. 200 dollar oil changes are way better than 600 dollar ones. Plus I don't have to worry about some new guy not tightening or over tightening my filters or breaking grease nipples or not knowing how to adjust brakes :D. It's super easy especially when you have the right tools. I have a 18 volt milwaukee greaser its 200 dollars but worth every penny because it pumps the grease for you. And then I have two different size filter removers. One for the oil and one for the fuel.. And yes that oil plug valve is a must.

    DAT 15/30 day average is just a marketing gimmick in my opinion. Because how does DAT know what the final negotiating amount on a load? If they are depending on the broker to report this information, you know its going to be super low. So I don't know how they come up with theses averages. Seems flawed.

    • @pinoytrucking
      @pinoytrucking  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah I wouldn’t know how that’s being reported either. If you call on a load then agreed on a rate. Who reports that? Maybe time to investigate… 🔬

    Power only is kinda crap. I used to do it from 2021-2023.Made pretty good money. It's too inconsistent now. Consistency is key. If I were I would rent a reefer for around 1200 a month and it will open a lot of doors for you. Less deadhead more miles. You can book 3k mile runs with reefer paying 2.25-2.50 a mile. Try it for a month and you'll never go back to power only.

    Where do you find these cool spots to park at? I always feel bad taking up the big spots in truck stops and rest stops with power only.

    • @pinoytrucking
      @pinoytrucking  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Just park at where cars park. That’s what I do sometimes. I’m like you. Parking in a spot with trailers makes me feel bad but sometimes you don’t have much of an option.
