    Drivers need to disregard annual salaries that recruiters always throw at you. That figure always includes any and every potential safety bonus that you could potentially be eligible for. Which inflates that figure and can be misleading for some because not all drivers will receive those. So technically what they are saying is correct if you take this into account. Me personally….. I just want to know my cpm rate and the miles I’m going to be running. Because this is what I’m going to see every week. I’m starting with Barr- Nunn on the 27th in Columbus, Ohio. Your vid’s are a helpful insight on the company. I’ve been driving for 8 years now and I’m usually good about asking all the right questions, but there’s always things we can pick up on from current drivers.

    1500 a week for 39 weeks is really $58,500. That is 3 weeks on and 1 week off. They calculate the wages in best case scenario as if you were working 52 weeks a year. You would have to gross like 2k a week for 50 weeks to make 100k

    • @skwirlman
      @skwirlman  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yea...I did the math and 1300 a week for three weeks a month is only 46k a year

    • @ArmandoPerez-tj7bc
      @ArmandoPerez-tj7bc ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@skwirlman you calculate the gross not the net. You are probably grossing like 1,600 times 1,700 to net 1,300

    I'm not bashing on anybody but I don't understand staying out 3 weeks when there are home daily/hourly/overtime after 40hrs jobs out there making similar money. Barr-Nunn advertises $2,300 average/week. I guess they are BS'ing people

    What's going on homeboy if you're taking home 1300 a week then you're grossing 18 which puts you right around 90000 when a company tells you you're going to make x amount of dollars it's obviously the gross wage they're talking about not the net???

    What you didn't understand about your truck going 68mph is this... most companies have PassSmart (if you drive a cascadia) what that means is that if you push down on the gas pedal twice within a few seconds your truck will give you 68mph to be able to pass a slower truck. Companies will set that feature to function for maybe 3hrs in a 24hr period. You can pass a slower truck for like 2-3 minutes then come out of Smartpass, go back to 65mph. You'll be able to use Smartpass like that for 3-4hrs in a 24hr period. If you've used up all the Smartpass time you have to wait for the 24hr period to end before it resets.

    At about the 2:50 mark this former Barr-Nunn driver shows his W-2 making $105k with the company. Iam NOT calling you a liar or saying your experience isn't what you say it is but I am wondering if the area you run or some other factors aren't contributing to the different experience. He may have been staying out longer than you but he brings a pretty strong argument for the money he made with Barr-Nunn.
