Your background painting reminds me a lot of Basquiat, especially the two guys with crowns on their heads.

Thank you! I can’t help but be influenced by him. One of my favorite artists. Those two guys are me and my buddy :) we felt like kings on this excursion.

Hello Randy i have watched some more of your videos and I can not believe how it seems that you are speaking for me. My journey feels so similar it's eerie. I wonder if you have found success in selling your work that is where i am struggling and am some how losing my motivation for painting because I don't have a good outlet to sell my stuff. Really enjoy your narration and describing the process. I live in Florida have always wanted to paint and collaborate with someone who seems to think as i do on occasion do you have any interest thx.

Hey there. First off thanks for watching and sharing. Really appreciate that. I'm super glad my content is resonating with you. It really means a lot and inspires me to make more videos. I have had some success in the last 3 years or so selling work, but it is in no way enough to do full-time. I was in a gallery for a little over a year, but they had to shut down due to lack of sales during covid. Now I show and sell my work in a very large local eclectic antique market. I've had some success selling stuff via instagram as well. Not selling or not having good outlets to sell can be disheartening, but I honestly never really was concerned about selling from the beginning. I do sell and try to sell stuff now, but my main focus is still on just creating and the process in general. It helps me to just keep getting better and I trust the money will come. DM me on instagram and let me know what you have in mind for collabs. I usually don't do them these days, just because I have so many projects going on... but I'm always interested in connecting with other artists... so let's talk :)

Hey Randy. Thanks so much for answering my question with this video. It was great to see you creating such incredible realistic work and cool to see how perfectly you were able to capture the reference photo. You are so good at realistic painting as well as abstract. It's really incredible. And yes, I'm super interested in you continuing to talk about these two questions with future videos.
I have another question for you that you might like to answer in a video and I'll DM you on Instagram when I'm able :)
Thanks again, Randy. Super cool video :)

I would say that you paint more in an intuitive way with a rollercoaster technique. Your inside is basically directing your moves because you are so free when you are striking the canvas to bring forth your image. I agree you are definitely not a step by step painting.
