I was one of the performers in the "pool" segment that was filmed from above. It was SOOO much fun and an awesome memory. I tried out at a local high school and my friend and I were chosen. Others I knew were in the white tux and top hat. My senior year in high school! AWESOME!
I attended West Orange High School in 1984 and was in the marching band. Disney had auditions for area high schools to fill the huge manpower requirements of the cast extras (Like the guys on the perimeter in white tuxedos with yellow umbrellas). I got selected and was a part of this show. Even though I was only a small part of it, the experience was amazing. I was awed by the size of the crowd and the electric atmosphere. I was so happy to find this video because I had actually never been able to see it. It brings back great memories. Thank you for posting it!
Yup those the yellow Umbrellas we were carrying...... I was the line leader for the umbrella men...ran out 10 seconds too early........... ORHS Marching Band class of 85
