It's so nice to hear foreigners telling nice things about my city. Honestly, i don't love it as much because of the pollution, the traffic and sometimes the people themselves. Nonetheless, i love its culture, robustness, and especially cuisine.
Hello Hanoi is one of our favorite places to visit it's a wonderful city and as Vietnam becomes more prosperous over the years I'm sure the pollution and infrastructure will get better and better 😊
Hi Peter and Yen, I loved watching your videos. Very simple, calm, relax and informative useful videos as well. I love watching your videos. Next month I will travel to Vietnam and glad to watch your videos before my travel. God Bless to both of you.
It looks like you did a great job of avoiding the crowds that day, or were you just really lucky? Railway Street is unreal, i can't imagine that happening many other places!
I love how you guys are avoiding the crowds and seeing amazing places. Do you plan on visiting Korea any time? I'd love to get back there to visit again myself
Was originally in our plan for this year but then we decided to focus just on south east Asia as it save a bit of money flights wise. One day we will be sure to go. Might go Oman before Korea though 🤔😁
Welcome to my birth country 😊. I'm from the South and have never been to the North so thank you for this episode. I like the pagoda place better and it's free. I cannot believe they charged the camera fees 🤦♀️ and other entrance fees lol. I read a lot about the great Buddha when I was a kid and do know the Bo De tree 🌳. My religion is Cao Dai, there's the biggest Tay Ninh temple in Tay Ninh. I don't think u guys been there yet. Yup, I know the fish dish you guys ate. I'm not a fan of will so I always stay away 😅.
😂 woooah really you don't like cat fish? I'm so surprised 😮 tastes so good especially use in Cha Ca. We haven't been to many places in the south except for HCMC. Need to visit there again in the future 😊
@PeterandYen I was born in the South and migrated to Australia when I was 10 so I haven't eaten many North dishes. I tried a few in Australia but I don't like it 1😅
Cheers Stewart good to be back in Vietnam. Nah we're not in Hanoi anymore right now in Sapa. We do go back to Hanoi but just before we fly out to our next destination so prob won't be able to sorry!
Good evening both Love your vlog which starts with a happy meal, the pan fried fish looks yummy and I love the bit when you mentioned “sitting on stools for meals” I actually do it at home 😬, a force of habit from my childhood 😀 The Vietnam MH, reminds us how determined they are 💪🏻 Guys, Pete @8:13 - 8:46, reminded me of my visit to Hobbiton, the lush green, am just mad about NZ 😂 Thanks for sharing and have a great week ahead both 🙏🏻
Hahaha speaking of Hobbiton I'm trying to convince one of our best friends to get married there at the green dragon Inn and then we can all dress up like characters from LOTR and the hobbit 😂 The little stools are very comfortable once you get used to them 👍
You already know my first comment is going to be on cha caaaaaaaaaaaa! How was it compared to Cha Ca Thang Long (thanks for the info tidbit - now I know why the name is Cha Ca Thang Long 😁)? During my last long stay in Vietnam, I probably ate cha ca once a week or once every 2 weeks. Love it!! From your experience, do you think the food is better in Hanoi or HCMC? I spent about 4 months eating in HCMC and only a couple weeks in Hanoi so it’s not an even spread yet for me to decide. Seems like you guys spent pretty even so far so wondering what your take is. I have a feeling with more time in Hanoi, I’d lean towards Hanoi, but who knows. Time flies.. already 5 years… Hope you guys are having an awesome time in Vietnam filled with awesome food and awesomer memories! Love that you guys try to get bug and animal shots whenever possible 😁😁😁. Love them! Safe travels!
Yen preferred the food in HCMC, but I prefer the food in hanoi. Yen and I both still prefer Cha Ca Thang Long, but I do love being able to eat the cha ca on the tiny seats next to train Street. That's a very memorable moment. Hahaha I'll always put up the bug shots cause those are wonderful memories too 😂 possibly nightmares for Yen though 😂

Not many countries could stand up to the combined imperialist military might of the U.S AND their allies,NZ,Australia…etc. What an amazing culture. ❤️
Vietnam War is quite a fascinating moment in history. Always enjoyed learning about Vietnamese culture 👍

So true, it's a wonderful chaotic (in a good way) city 😁 we always enjoy our time in hanoi.
