Regarding the Buddha statue you asked, we have 7 Buddha postures representing 7 days of the week. Each holding a certain significance and representing different personal traits.
Yen, Peter I truly admire your work. Your authenticity and relatability are refreshing, and even without having met, you create a sense of connection. Lately, I've been feeling burnt out from the long hours and even weekend work. Your videos offer a welcome escape, and I especially appreciate them during this time. Thank you for sharing your content.🤍
That's a very kind message thank you ❤️ Hope the stretch of long hours and work days will cool off a bit for you so that you have more chill out time. Glad we're able to help out with the unwinding in the meantime 😊
What an entrancing place! You guys discover so many gems. The city, temple, and river. Until you guys exposed us to Laos 🇱🇦, travel there never interested me, but I'd definitely look to visit now 😊
Watch the amazing sunset on the Mekong River and taste Laou's cuisine, what a wonderful and unforgettable experience. I want to go there one day ❤❤ Good job as usual n Thanks for sharing 😍🫶👏
Wow, not seen Peter in a Shirt 😀 for a while, good that it suited the visit the temples and more importantly the dinner on Mekong during the golden hour The seating and the layout of the boats, really makes the diners felt that they are there to chill The sausage with spice and chilli, with lovely red curry , ahhh, I am hungry Also like the comfort food at "pot luck", the pork floss, yum Have a great week both
😂 it has been a while but this year I thought I'd change it up from shorts and tee from time to time hahaha. The food overall in laos was excellent, gonna miss the cuisine especially from luang prabang. Hope you have a great week too 😊
The sunset cruise is a must-try experience. You're both sweet and romantic lol. We don't often dine in Laos food but Laos paw paw salad is my favourite ❤ . Yen is blending in with the locals, and loves her sarong. I was eating migoreng while watching this episode 😂.
Hahaha Yen loves Migoreng she makes indomie a very unique way by making it with soup and extra flavoring 😂 I prefer the classic with an egg mixed through. Did you have indomie or a proper cooked migoreng?
@PeterandYen My husband used to eat migoreng like normal instant noodles soup 🍜, I don't know what he added, perhaps that's called indome? But I never try his cooking with soup lol. I always had it dried with scrambled egg or fried egg and spam. I add extra fried onion and chilli too 😁. Sometimes with whatever leftover meat I had. I always make the easiest way, boiled the water, wait for two mins, drain and add seasons and whatever I have lol.
Wow!!!!!! That’s the best adjective I could come up with to describe how the dinner cruise looked!! Looked absolutely serene, beautiful, and delicious! Great job on researching a perfect boat!! It’s going to be interesting to see how that cruise experience compares to if you do one at Halong Bay. I’m sure the price will be one 😵. Food looked amazing… Having tried a lot of Laotian food now, how different or similar from Thai food would you say it is in terms of taste? A lot looks so similar. I’m familiar with Thai food incorporating a lot of Laotian food. I wonder how much traditional Thai food is incorporated into Laotian cuisine. What an awesome day and evening… it’s always a good day when you get to experience flavor explosion and bag sweat 😅. Safe travels guys and love this series… by the way, had Turkish food yesterday. Thanks for the Turkey series to deepen my knowledge of Turkish food! I remember after seeing you guys eat iskander, had to go out and find some way back when 😂
😁 we just got back from our ha long bay cruise 🛳 and now we're both pretty tired. It was a very action packed couple of days. I think it's a bit hard to compare cause the ha long bay one was 2 night stay vs a few hours on the sun set cruise. Both were fantastic though and very memorable. Laotian food is excellent. They definitely have some similarities with Thai and Vietnamese cuisine but it is still very uniquely lao. The sticky rice was just so good, really miss having that as the main carb with every meal.
@@PeterandYen I’m planning to move to Siem Reap! I plan to rent a 10 unit hotel and run the business. Done with the hustle and bustle life in San Francisco 🥹

Beautiful boat cruise and the Lao sausage (a personal favourite). Hope to be there next year. Love from the Windy City!

Wow LP has developed a lot since I was a backpacker in 2012 lol
We heard that a few times from people who have visited in the past. South east Asian countries are very quickly developing.
