as a gen z these are all super impressive! The gen x one was something else, I love how you did both the vocals and background music with the guitar simultaneously and so perfectly.
They aren’t tapped harmonics (at least I didn’t notice any) they’re classical technique artificial harmonics if that helps in looking up the technique to learn:) Basically start off with doing a 12th fret harmonic, but use the index finger of your picking hand to lightly press against the string above the 12th fret and use another finger (usually ring but honestly whatever’s most comfortable) to pick the string That’s the jist of that technique and from there to play fretted notes just do the above picking 12 frets above whatever you’re fretting - eg 3rd fret=15th fret AH, 7th fret=19th AH, 11 fret=23 AH (or if your guitar doesn’t have 23 just wherever the 23rd would be roughly, that part takes getting used to) You can technically do it 5 and 7 frets above too, just like natural harmonics are 5 and 7 frets above open but they are v hard to nail and not necessary, just focus on the 12th fret above whatever you’re fretting and practice easy melodies, once comfortable with that do cool stuff like using them to play the melody as in this video:) long winded and no one asked lol but hope it helps someone

uh... acoustic guitars and electric guitars are the same? Literally the only difference is the Acoustic, in lew of not having an amplifier, uses the hole in the middle of the body to act as a natural amplifier. Where as electric guitars use an amplifier to get a distorted booming sound. Electric Guitars were literally played "cleanly" like acoustics for the longest time, and were used only as backing instruments in bands to amplify their sounds to the back of the audience better. You can play power chords on an acoustic, the same as you can play regular chords on an electric. The only difference in chords is that they were made to sound better with different things.
Ive been playing for 2 years and i see stuff like this and remember how far out from this i am, not only do you have to write it, add the chords and progressions, and alot more. I write simple songs using basic chords and small picking patterns or songs solely using finger picking that are 1/10 the complexity of this sometimes i almost want to put the guitar down, but this makes me want to pick it up and learn ever piece of it cause its so beautiful,
Just make sound in a way that gives you joy! Never give up. Absorb what you enjoy. Keep your guitar well setup, so it's at its easiest to play. You are on your way:)
I'm 22 now been playing since I was about 10ish. I only started writing my own original music about 2-3 years ago. Creativity comes with time. You'll hear certain patterns and melodies in your head that you love enough to transpose to the guitar. It took me a lot more time when I first started than it does now to put my ideas on the fretboard. I'm a metalhead so my playing technicality is a bit different than his but either way It's hard. Guitar only gets harder the longer you play I believe but it's just so beautiful and fun that you can't stop. Consistency is the biggest catalyst for improvement on guitar (and most other things). Long winded way of saying just keep going no matter what.
