2:14 Many people can smile in fear, anger, or even sadness. I’ve seen it happen before and it’s kind of a very versatile response. When a person doesn’t know how to feel or the emotions are just starting to hit them, they might smile. Same thing with laughing.

Just because someone has a large platform doesn’t mean that they’re instantly capable of making no mistakes. @@jametron6135 Oh man if you don't think so you probably don't know anyone with strong ADHD. They can be very obsessive and overanalyze things in any category, especially their own appearance and behavior. My friend has it and one day she described to me how much she thinks about her smile and how she had to strategize different ways of smiling for different situations to make sure she looked 'as normal as possible', and I was blown away hearing that anyone could be that worried about their smile. A streamer I watch who has it also shared his struggles with things like that, mentioning how he was even afraid to wear a hat or a pair of sunglasses because he thought people would think he was crazy and would question why he needed to wear them, when obviously most people wouldn't even notice.
Of course this is anecdotal on my part but from what I've seen, people being this concerned with "smiling right" when they're not even like a model or actor or anything where there's stakes in them getting it right is definitely right in line with having ADHD.

As someone who’s worked customer service for years, yes you can smile while in a bad mood but it certainly isn’t genuine. Most people can pick up on a fake smile compared to a real one.
I’ve smiled through some really bad days and I can promise you most people aren’t fooled. You can tell in someone’s body language when they aren’t feeling it.
So would you crack a genuine smile while in a bad mood? Probably not. You’d put in your best fake smile and sweetest customer service voice, while internally wanting to scream.

While I wasn’t offended by the smiling part, and I am on the autism spectrum myself, but I really respect the fact that he preferred to make sure others didn’t feel bad. He very obviously doesn't like when his videos make people feel bad, and the effort to stop even one more person seeing the video and feeling alienated or feel bad is very sweet.
Sure, I didn’t care, and from what i see in the comments a lot of people don't, but i have parts of myself that many people dont have problems with that id feel very insecure if they were talked about it like that. For example, I tend to stutter much more than the average person. If i saw a video making fun of an article giving advice to not stutter, id feel a little bad about myself. So while i dont have trouble with smiling, i can empathize with the feeling of feeling bad about it.
