When they aired this show, we stayed all online every Saturday evening from all over the world, not understanding a single Dutch word, for Floor.. Beautiful memories.. She nailed it in every single week of the show :) and now you understand us, finally.. Thank you.

@jenniezelf Thanks, but the subtitles are blocked for me on this video. DM.. I watched all episodes translated days after they're released, using links from NW discord (Denise's translations on YT and DM) :) so I'm up-to-date now, sometimes I watch again entire episodes from BZ 2019 show without translation, knowing exactly what they said. Watching this show with Floor warmed my heart.

Sam - it was written and sung by Samantha, the older blonde. It's about when she found herself falling in love with another woman, despite being in a relationship with a man. Her Mum didn't originally accept the situation, but she eventually came round - and Samantha's now married to the woman in question.

"the most perfect example" should be changed to: "the strongest example".
The word "sterkste" means strongest.

I'm not sure if you noticed, but the person sitting directly across from her, is the person that she is singing to. So, last episode, she sang to her idol, Henk Poort. And this song she is singing to Samantha Steenwijk, the lady in red. Samantha is the author, and original singer of this song.
This one was Dutch, the last one was German and the next one is in Spanish, then she gets to English. Just how versatile is that!
She has also sang in Finnish and speaks Swedish... I don't know how she does it ❤😁 xx

Floor singing in Dutch. Rarer than snow on the Sun! Floor brought her own Mama to tears with this number. And again, Marcel Fisser on guitar with that great band of his. I will never stop singing their praises.

Interesting tidbit of info: this episode was all about the blonde singer Samantha Steenwijk and her songs and Floor chose this song called Mama. For the show about Floor Samantha dediced to do the Nightwish song Our Decades In The Sun (albeit she translated the lyrics from English to Dutch) which is a song about Nightwish's mums / dads / family.
i watch many reactions to floor / nightwish and vocal coach i watched said " she does one of two things to a singer... she makes you try all you can to get better or she makes you quit and give up because you cant compare

They are all singers, this is a show where a bunch of singers get together and each episode everyone sings a song that one of the singers has either done or means a lot to them. You could listen to Tim Ackermann doing Nemo by Nightwish from Floor's episode for example.
There's this new show in The Netherlands called we want more. The winner, Robin Borneman, has an amazing voice. Try listening to her skyfall cover, or his winning song Soldier On please.

Best part of this video (aside from, ofc, all the emotions in Floor’s performance) - your smile in the first crescendo that basically gives away ‘aaaaaand we’re where I wanted to get to’. Once you get to know a singer, it’s either getting annoyed with predictability or feeling like you’re back home. Glad to see it’s the latter for you.

I can only understand the word "mama" (I THINK 😉), but can still get the feeling and emotions out of this. That's one important factor to recognize a great singer 👍
Floor kills everything there. We know it and you're late. But keep going. It's fun! Floor sings there the song of Samantha Steenwick (the lady in the re dress). It¨s great, while I doesn't understand a word of dutch.
Floor is a greatness . Very nice to hear your comments Sam. Interesting and you know about singing. The clips you comment on is a very populair program in Holland; “beste zangers” (best singers) Seven artist fly to Ibiza and each program one of the artist is in the center; the other 6 sing songs from that artist or a song that is somehow connected to that artist. So “Mama” (mother) is a Dutch song from the lady in red with the blond hair. As a surprise Floor sings that song; the artist in the center picks out her favourite and that artist is the “beste zanger” (best singer) of that episode.The succes of the program is mainly the great atmosfhere between the artists, the super live band and that you see singers out of their comfort zone, with many times surprising result. Floor surprised everyone with her great voice and interpretation. I think she’s the best singer of all time that this program excist . Greetz from Holland!

This one is sung in Dutch. This song was an original by Samatha Steenwijk, the woman in red (Holy shit). Floor sang it in a higher key as well. Next one in Spanish. Que Se Siente. Great Job Scott! Nice farewell, Bye Bye Bye!
When I read the title, I honestly thought she might be covering the song "Mama" by her fellow countryman Heintje, who also had an incredible voice.

First of all I love that in every single video you have a different mug. Is it weird that I kinda look forward to see what's going to be the next one? I know it is. Floor is one of my favourite singers too. You're going down the rabbit hole with Nightwish! But talking about a completely different genre, have you ever heard Pia Toscano? Her solo performances at "An Intimate Evening With David Foster - PBS Special" and her duet with Loren Allred are quite something. If you have time go check her/them out! And keep going with your videos! Loving them!

Floor showed in that show how good metal singers really are, and how much people they don't know anything about metal can be fooled by prejudices that metal is easy, only shouting and no talent.... Fools
True, many metal singers are very good, but very few are this good. Very few singers in general are this good.
