Gardening is also an easy way to make lots of money. Some neighbourhoods have a communal garden that you can harvest from and plant those crops at home. Even having 20 crops will bring in more than 1k per day. It seems like there's some kind of seasonal rotation even without the seasons pack but just make sure you plant lots of crops and sell every morning. As you level up you'll get glowfruit and the death flower plant which sell for thousands per harvest on those plants alone.
Splice some strawberry and snapdragons and can get 2000 to 4000 simoleans per plant. I made a basement farm that churned out 500,000 simoleans per day.

One thing I always found fun is that your Sim can get infinite raises at their job as long as they keep maxing out their work preformace meter. Normally when your Sim works most days it's hard to fill the meter and manage their stress. However if your Sim is an astronaut they only work one day a week and can simply work from home on the computer on a couple of their free days to max out their preformace. So at the end of nearly every shift they'll come home with a raise an you can eventually get to the point where they'll be making several hundred thousand simoleons for a single day's work!
It’s not hard, on my first simulation I just had my Sim socialize to max the sociality need then work “slowly” to max fun meter then just work hard, also do daily task every day, it was the technologic guru job, don’t know about the other jobs but yeah, don’t think the others are that much different.
For a more streamlined approach to trapped artists, do the same start as you did for mister Marx. Then, build a simple home with about 12 beds, 12 easels, a bathroom, and some safe cooking. Start a club who's only activity is art. Have a club meeting and invite everyone. Once everyone is inside, lock the door for everyone but family members. You don't have to pay for the paintings others make, and you can still sell them. As a bonus, you literally take credit for their work and gain fame.
In all seriousness, TS4 has little precaution with infinite money exploit. One of the way I found on a normal playthrough is to just buy The Attic Stack Decoration Box. Choose "rummage for decor," and you'll spawn 3 random decor that you can sell from 50-250 simoleons each in build mode without using any money other than buying the box without any cool down on the action.

Because communism is the one where you get paid not according to your actual labor but according to your deemed labor power... Put simply: capitalism doesn't mean you get paid for your labor otherwise when you have a busy day at work you'd be paid more than a slow day. That is not the case, you're paid an hourly wage based on your perceived labor power or how profitable your labor can be so it's actually in our best interest to do less work and therefore be paid more for that lower productivity. With Socialism, you get paid according to how productive you are. The harder you work, the more you earn because it's not based on set hourly wages or salaries. With Communism (the higher stage of socialism in a post-scarcity society because resources aren't wasted to keep prices high and workers don't like literally throwing away their hard work), your "work" is done for enjoyment (what do you like doing? I pretty much always play rags to riches when I start a new save because I think it's more fun that way. For me, the best strategy has always been to gather all the collectables and then fish until my sim is exhausted. This usually gives me enough to buy a tent, a pee bush and a cooler on the first day even if I'm playing solo. Then, on the second day, I get a privacy shower from university or outdoor retreat and then I can take care of any of my needs on the lot. I keep fishing until I have 4 walls and an actual bathroom and small kitchen area with room to place my tent indoors. Then I buy an easel or a woodworking bench. Also, I work on aspiration points ASAP so I can get the 'marketable' reward because you can sell stuff for so much more after that. The money making trashcan is also a must as soon as you can afford it. It's also great if you find some wild roses or even buy them from the phone. If you put them next to the house they are considered sheltered and you can harvest them year round. I usually line the front of my house with them; you can make like 10k a day once they all evolve to 'nice' quality.

I saw this 'feature' in a video about the highschool pack, just randomly, and decided to try it myself and it literally took me like 15 minutes to do it. Sims 4 is such a wonderful game.
"Dad, can I purchase something on the internet?" "Sure thing, boy. Here's my credit card!" "Thanks! I found this outfit for ten million dollars that I really want." "You fucking what?!"
I'm pretty sure you can make the sims take pictures with their phones and then sell them for easy money instead of looking around for items. That should speed up the process
It might not be the fastest, but no dlc packs, gardening is highly effective. Buy the most expensive packs of flowers till you get 1 death flower. Grow and harvest, and plant till you have a bunch. Once you have a bunch, instead of harvesting, sell em. A top grade is worth about 1.5k each flower
Spiff, in Sims 4 they don't need ladders to get out of pools. As long as you don't wall in the pool they just hop up onto the edge, as long as they're not too exhausted. Still find it interesting that in the original Sims 4 trailer they made for E3 before the game released they wall in a pool and kill a bunch of people
Taking photos to boost friendship levels is 100% the best way to get money. Thrift fashion is good, but only if your sim has the right combo of traits. Otherwise it can take forever. Definitely love your way of doing it though, Spiff! 3 speed runs + 2 deaths = a great time!
I recently got this game free from Epic Games and I found it very useful to make your character a creative loner and just have them write and publish books all day. My Sim quit their job after a couple weeks because their daily royalties were 4x larger than their paychecks. And I noticed the garbage can that pays you for throwing food away always pays you 10, even if you're throwing away a meal that cost 3 to produce.
@@rberks5 Ahh, the Crusader Kings approach. Make the base game free and hope people will spend the literal $300 on a barrage of DLC packs so small they could almost be considered microtransactions if they weren't $10-$20 a piece.
The fact that he scammed a 12 year old kid who would have had to have stolen his parents money/credit card to buy that adult outfit for 9999999 dollars just proves how much you can cheese the sims 4
Not sure if they've changed it, but one good way to get starting cash when you have nothing is to just use the phone's camera to take pictures of stuff. The pictures appear as physical photos in your inventory that you can sell for simoleons. This includes the photos you get from taking selfies with people and doing so levels up your photography skill to make more money. Still, I don't think photos are that big of a money maker compared to painting, so you just take photos and sell them until you can afford a painting easel or the drawing tablet. Other good money makers include gardening (you have to wait for the plants to grow but you can just hire a gardener to make them do all the actual work while you reap the rewards and you can easily make enough money from the produce to pay their wages) or the christmas decoration box (just buy the decoration box and rummage through it to pull out decorations for free that you can sell).
Huh? Jack Goff? I think you need a name like, say, Jack Hoffman… I recall someone with that last name played Captain Hook in the movie with Robin Williams…? Dustin Hoffman, was it?
Absolutley amazing! That is what I like to see. I'm glad that Vampire Daddy liked you so much that he came back as a Ghost to still be your bestie. He respected the grind.
Damn. Once the first Goch died I thought you were going to use the dead artist strategy. Once an artist dies the value of their work goes through the roof.
"Why did you have to be outside?" ...maybe because some Red Coat showed up, moved onto his land, assumed ownership over everything, and sold it... including the roof the vampire kind of needed... 😆
1. Living as an artist is be a disaster 2. Karol Marks living with a friend and surviwing thanks to other people work Sims really are a real live simulator:
Quotes from Spiff, 2023: "Hey, you're a vampire, I'm a communist, we've probably got a lot in common!" “No, Carl died … my Vamp friend! No this is so sad! … Well, um, that’s a shame. Enough with being sad though, I need to make MONEY!”
Here recently I found a really busted gimmick in sims 4 with the wizard pack or whatever this is called. Play enough with the sim goals to get the money tree (you can make your life goal to become a wizard) and clone it with the wizard powers and now you have a grove of money trees that will make you as much money as you want.
That's too long. By far easiest way to "print money" with a wizard is to write a book, place it on the table and copy it until you get tired. Publish all the copies and you get infinite money every day.
@@KuroiKitsune its definately not a speedy strat for this challenge. I really liked tending to my grove of money trees and harvesting each day. I had enough to where i was easily getting a mil each day. It went well with my eco friendly house that I had.
To each their own :) I tried money tree path, but found them too bright for me. So instead I went for the trait that gave me like 5% from my money as free income and my sims never had to worry about money :)
Rather surprised you didn't demo the houses to get the money from the walls, windows etc selling their furniture makes you a lot but not as much as you can before leaving xD
For those that wanna try the painting route! - Mass taking photos to sell could speed up the process of getting money to buy the easel. - Going to the beach to dig can get lots of movie quick early too. - And then making a club and adding random sims in the world to it and invite all of them over to do club activity (set all to painting). And you'll have free labors racking in moolah for you! - Making a tiny living home would give you boosted exp to level up painting. It's not fast but it's fun!

I literally downloaded this game yester and spend 7 hours building a $22k house and you upload THIS?! DISGRACEFUL
Yet I am still grateful
The trapped artist Strategy AKA The Dear Leader Strategy, Kevin would be proud
I'm pretty sure you can make the sims take pictures with their phones and then sell them for easy money instead of looking around for items. That should speed up the process
As a sims player of 1500+ hours, this is amusing to watch
As an artist i gotta say this is actually very realistic i let u know when i hit the million myself as i keep following your strat
Still find it interesting that in the original Sims 4 trailer they made for E3 before the game released they wall in a pool and kill a bunch of people
It’s interesting to see someone not a simmer do the painter speed run and not use groups to con others into painting for you.
Taking photos to boost friendship levels is 100% the best way to get money. Thrift fashion is good, but only if your sim has the right combo of traits. Otherwise it can take forever. Definitely love your way of doing it though, Spiff! 3 speed runs + 2 deaths = a great time!
Even when you're not trying to drown your Sim family in a pool, somehow, you still end up drowning your Sim family in a pool. Classic Spiff.
Sims 4: sells selfies for money infinitely
Sims 3: placing double swingsets then clicking undo infinitely
As someone named Van, I liked seeing Van Goff in game, let alone be announced first.
Have you drowned in the pool yet?
@@heartysquid unfortunately not 🥺
@@vandavis9470 better luck next time! 😃👍
You know how they made all that cash?. They make and sell a line of medical candy.. Goff Drops!
I had no clue that The Spiffing Brit himself new of my existence 2:42
I recently got this game free from Epic Games and I found it very useful to make your character a creative loner and just have them write and publish books all day. My Sim quit their job after a couple weeks because their daily royalties were 4x larger than their paychecks. And I noticed the garbage can that pays you for throwing food away always pays you 10, even if you're throwing away a meal that cost 3 to produce.
EA made the base game free for everyone. They want to buy all the dlc.
Great to see another video from you, Spiff!
Can't believe believe you didn't include their father, Jack.
Huh? Jack Goff? I think you need a name like, say, Jack Hoffman… I recall someone with that last name played Captain Hook in the movie with Robin Williams…? Dustin Hoffman, was it?
It will forever remain a mystery when Jack Goff found the time to sire children.
@@tohron675 too busy painting for his own good
Well he's busy driving touring cars.
Well, that explains how they had so many kids.
Spiff, lemme tell you something.
I ducking love your videos, please never stop.
You keep me alive.
Yours,
A passionate Yorkshire Tea enjoyer.
You can really tell Spiff’s British from the way he used the Top Gear outro.
Absolutley amazing! That is what I like to see. I'm glad that Vampire Daddy liked you so much that he came back as a Ghost to still be your bestie. He respected the grind.
I think the fastest way is to plant plants and harvest lots of exotic flowers and combine that with painting.
Damn. Once the first Goch died I thought you were going to use the dead artist strategy. Once an artist dies the value of their work goes through the roof.
My guy just met someone, moved in with them! Sold their house!! And disposed of them within 3 minutes!!! 😂
"Why did you have to be outside?"
...maybe because some Red Coat showed up, moved onto his land, assumed ownership over everything, and sold it... including the roof the vampire kind of needed... 😆
Kevin can make a mil out of trapped painters lol
1. Living as an artist is be a disaster
2. Karol Marks living with a friend and surviwing thanks to other people work
Sims really are a real live simulator:
I found farming pretty darn good, my Sim keeps thinking he hates farming but I just tell him no you love it... 😈
😂😂😂😂 the best part 12:00 this segment had me in tears 😂😂
Quotes from Spiff, 2023:
"Hey, you're a vampire, I'm a communist, we've probably got a lot in common!"
“No, Carl died … my Vamp friend! No this is so sad! … Well, um, that’s a shame. Enough with being sad though, I need to make MONEY!”
19:51 This is exactly why Spiff promotes opera GX, he doesn't even look into their Chinese backgrounds.
That's just great 😂
No way I found you guys in the comments I used to watch you when I first started my channel
17:20, Clairedanes Lovespudding "Let's see what this guy does to me. Can't be any worse than what Gray always did to us!"

“Youre a vampire, Im a communist, Im sure we have lots in common”
Honestly being an author was HUGE in getting me money
Try this again with one of those beach lots in Sulani and have them all dig up shells and pretty necklaces all day.
Morale of the story: the key to success and riches is selling proper tea. Thanks Karl! 😉
I’m watching this at 3am after working till we’ll after closing at Woolworths and then having a night out at my local tavern and coming home to realise how warm and cozy my bed is.
An amazing 11/10 experience
Do recommend
I wish I was a SIM. Life would be so much easier!
