Love my Talons but they really need to have all their design features implemented such as the phalanx shield and its stealth functionality.
Talon and talon strike are interesting to me. Yes i’m a damn dirty missile thrower. Bit sometimes thats the ONLY way you’re hitting those tiny ships
I remember flying the Talon and really liking it, but just like you said it's way too nimble for me, I'm not good enough of a pilot to fully utilize it's mobility, so I'd rather get in a Gladius as my light fighter of choice.

Hornets are stupendously broken since all the Mk1/Mk2 pandering, its the current Mary Sue ship
Wish I could get MM's down as well as you. I came back to SC in Feb after 6 years and had just got the flight down comfortably and now MM is just an ass experience for me. I'll keep trying but the fun feels gone.
I'm actually finding it more fun than the old model. The fighting seems more intense. What arent you enjoying about it?
@@shotgunmcshotgun1142 I think it’s just my brain comparing the flying experience of the old system to this one now that has purposely limited things in place. It breaks my immersion of flight quite a bit. Yawing suddenly just stopping etc. the mode switching and the speed limiter constantly resetting and using a HOTAS setup the throttle often just stops and I have to move it to get it to reengage all while being shot up. It’s more of a frustrating experience. I’m confident I can eventually find the zone for it all , it’s just clumsy for me at the moment. I don’t like the shields forced down in Nav mode and I don’t like basically being forced to fight with MM’s. However I had a CS 3 and the most fun I’ve ever had playing MM’s was using the Herald. No bounty Hunter could catch me. A hornet pilot said by the time he turned nose on I was 17K away.
I won’t give up on MM’s but it just isn’t as fun as the old system. Can’t really explain it better than I have. I just don’t like it by comparison. It’s not as smooth and predictable for me yet.
@@warren3174 Sounds like you just constantly enjoyed running away and never actually wanted to commit to fights, which was the whole point of Master Modes: Forcing engagements.
@@north_borne no. Not the case. It’s just when I’m in a vulture and a hornet shows up running away is the right way. And now that’s a lot more difficult. Forcing all ships into a kobiashimaru isn’t fun. And before when I would fight I felt like I had a chance. Now at the moment it doesn’t feel that way until I figure out what I’m doing wrong. The old ways of flying don’t seem to be working for me at all. And hey who the f wants to constantly pvp when they’re salvaging or mining anyway? In real life and in most mmo’s you have choices. No one should be just manually forced to fight or die especially when everyone knows depending on what you’re in means you’re dying. I’m not saying change anything. I’m just saying I’m not having fun the way it was before with more options. According to CIGs own published data only 7% want to PVP all the time. So I know I’m not alone but n being annoyed by the current model. I’m also not advocating to change it because I’m not having as much fun. I’m saying I want to figure out what to do in order to make it work for me. But running away isn’t what I always do. But sticking around in a vulture with a douche in a F7A that’s shooting me isn’t going to be fun for me anyway. So it is what it is.
I’m having a lot of the same feelings as you about MM. Maybe it’s great and I’m just having a hard time adjusting, I don’t know, but it seems like I spend more time cycling modes and fighting with the speed controller now. I just don’t see the benefit to all this over complication.
I want to like the Talon, had it a couple of times but always sell it back. Looks gorgeous but only 2 S4s and far to delicate for my liking.
Imagine if they up-gunned it to 2 size 5's 🤯

The Talon is actually very strong right now. A-tier ship for PVP. The old "more, smaller weapons is better than fewer larger weapons" thing is gone. Those two S4's hit much harder now.
Two size fours are much better than they used to be. I think the talon is in a great place right now. It's powerful, fast, looks great, and pretty durable considering
